KB2937610 security update
I reported a problem installing Microsoft .NET Security Update KB2937610. I googled the Microsoft for this particular update of the site and ran a default Windows Locator site transported. It found and resolved three errors, but 0x800F081F(2014-08-15-T-11_31_-25A fault) that he has not solved. However, a screen popped up asking me to close and restart I did. On the closing down and re-departure, the program has been a configuration process, as it would after you install updates. When he finally opened I found that security update KB 2937610 has been installed but shown as pending. What is this average please and what should I do to get the Update Setup to change from pending to SUCCESS. Thank you very much.
Hello LyleGiles,
I'm sorry to know that you are facing problems to install Windows updates.
I would like to know what happens when you try to install the update and is the specific problem of KB2943357?
I suggest that you put the computer to boot, then try to download and install the update to Windows.
A clean boot is executed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This will eliminate the conflicts of software that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in 8.1 of Windows, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista. You can also troubleshoot or determine what conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot.

Can not get the latest Windows 7 security updates
you want to say thank you in advance to anyone who could help me with this problem. I was not able to install the new updates of security, and I don't want to leave my computer in a vulnerable state, so any help is super duper enjoyed.
I have a desktop running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Service Pack 1. I bought the parts of the computer separately, so it did not come with a pre-installed Windows OS.
Since about two months ago (when I installed Windows), I was never able to find the updates by using Windows Update. It crashes just on the "check updates" screen I have yet to get error messages, it crashes just on this same screen, with the bar that goes from left to right.
After a week or two, I noticed that Windows has not been activated, and all I had to do was re-enter the product key. Now that Windows has been activated, I tried to look for updates again, same thing, it of just always looking for updates without results.
In the Windows Update window, it says:
Final check of updates: never
Updates have been installed: never
You receive updates: for Windows only
I have some important updates, the value "Install updates automatically (recommended)" every day at 03:00.
I have Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320, status: success, installation Date: 17.8.2016 (the same day I installed Windows)
2 updates installed: KB976902 (installed on November 21, 2010) and KB2534111 (installed on August 17, 2016)
I searched the internet for possible solutions to the problem, and that's what I've tried so far:
I tried troubleshooting Windows update with the tool in the Control Panel, it hanged on "Check for updates online", so not much luck with that.
Scanned with Avast Antivirus computer a couple of times, has never found a virus.
I downloaded the WindowsUpdateDiagnostic tool and tried, I got the following:
Problems found
Windows Update, error 0 x 80080005 (2016-10-16-T-12_49_06P) is not fixed
Registration for the service is missing or damaged fixed
Fixed problems to install the latest updates
Fixed problems to install the latest updatesAfter that, still can't anything when I try to search for updates in Windows Update.
I tried to download and install KB3172605 from Microsoft Download Center update, I had read that the update was to make the search for updates in Windows Update faster. Download was successful. Then, I stopped the Windows Update Service. When I tried to install, but I was left with an error message saying that the update was not applicable to my computer.
Subsequently discovered on Belarc Advisor, downloaded and ran the program. He tells me that I have a total of 148 updates security missing, here is the list:

Can I download and install these updates manually using Microsoft Download Center? If possible, in what order should I install them? Are there any updates in the list that I have no need to get, or updates that should be included in the list? Y at - it updated I could get that would speed up the process of search for updates in Windows Update?
How long can it take to find 100 updates + I need help from Windows Update? A long time I've tried have Windows Update check for updates was like 10 hours, without results. Is it worth trying to leave to search for days even? Also can I disable my firewall and antivirus during this time, or is it too risky? I am reluctant to do it, because I SLEEP in the same room as my computer is in (and the cpu fan can get really loud).
One thing that I thought about just today is that I always shut down my computer at night. Since updates are planned to install at 03:00 in the night, interrupting this process by stopping the computer down every night? Should I try to simply put it to sleep instead, for a few nights?
We appreciate once again, if anyone can suggest what to do in this situation. Responses from anyone who has had the same problem and managed to resolve it might also be useful!
Thank you!

2016-001 security update restart blocks iMac
This is an iMac of 2013 end on OS X 10.11.6. Installation of security update 2016-001 10.11.6 requires a reboot. The iMac freezes on the restart with a black screen showing a cursor sensitive but do not restart. Is the only alternative to the power of the machine cycle. I downloaded and reinstalled OS X 10.11.6 on the App Store. After installation, restart in the Apple menu has worked very well and directly for 3 restarts successfully. I then tried again to install the security update. When he initialled the reboot, the machine hung up again as previously described. I have power drove the machine and after reboot, restart from the Apple menu has failed, resulting in the same shot on reboot as described above - black screen, sensitive cursor.
The machine runs an i7 processor at 3.5 GHz with 16 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 RAM and a 256 GB SSD.
Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
John
If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account. Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once. If it works, try to rerun the update from the drop-down list. If it is successful, use the link below for the security update.

It seems that you encounter several different questions since Wednesday last on your Mac Pro. Let's see if we can get these cleared up for you. Test questions you mentioned having tried every troubleshooting step. Don't hesitate to jump steps you have already tried, but let me know?
1. your Mac hard drive backup - before you start troubleshooting procedures, I always recommend a fresh backup. It is preferable "to have" one the "need."
2 try safe mode if your Mac does not start -even if your Mac starts, which makes sure it starts successfully.
3. How to test one question in another user on your Mac account - this will help determine if the questions are found in all your user account or if they are systemic.
4. on the recovery of OS X - if you're still with these problems, reinstall the operating system on your Mac.
Have a great day!

security update 2016-001 crashes
Hello
This morning, I tried to install the security update 2016-001 el capitan. Installation hung. It is in 'one minute' now for nearly two hours.
The machine is an iMac 27 mid-2011 "
If I have to hard start, which will be screwed up? Can I go back to a working state?
Paul
I had the same problem. I rebooted and it was a normal start. I went to the menu with the option/alt key is pressed and ran system information. The update has not been installed. I downloaded from the link below and installed successfully.

File server for Windows does not work after security update
I just upgraded the security update that was released last week and all of a sudden the computers windows cannot access the server. I'm under 10.11.6 and everything was great until we started windows computers today. They can ping and access the internet, but they cannot access SMB on the server.
Macs have no connection problems in the SMB and AFP.
Any ideas, what has changed? Users of server are all still there and it seems like it should work. I can access the web page of servers too.
Make sure you are including the domain in the user name when signing in. for example USER: groupe_travail
Also, check that your windows machine has the correct set of LM compatibility level. For El Cap servers must be set to 3.
Follow the instructions below to change the Windows security settings to allow Windows SMB connections.
- Click on the Start button and in the bottom search bar, type regedit . Select search results regedit and the registry opens.
- Using the folders on the left side of the screen, navigate through the tree to the following location: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
- In the right window, find the following DWORD value: LmCompatibilityLevel . If it exists, double-click it and set the value to 3 (in decimal). If it does not exist, right-click in an empty space in the right part of the window and create a new DWORD value called LmCompatibilityLevel and set its value to 3 (in decimal).
- Restart the computer.
- Re-try to connect to the server via the workstation.
NOTE: The versions Home of windows may not the ability to set the LM, and unfortunately I have not found a way around that.

I can't get the last security update for download. I have Adblock and screen saver have stopped, but in vain.
Try to download it from the link below.

Security update 2016-001 vs MacBook Pro mid-2012, using external SSD
Hello
The 2016-001 security update progress bar went to 25 days and then reduced back to "less than a minute" but seems stuck on 88.1 MB 414MB. I am currently using an external SSD (HARD following internal disk failure), but everything else seems to work well following a resumption of Time Machine on the SSD. Any ideas?
See you soon

Security update causes damaged Apps
I installed the security update on my iMac at work and my MacBook Pro this morning (September 2, 2016). The MacBook Pro has no problems, but the iMac is in trouble. It restarts after installing the update and drops on the desktop, but it won't be open requests, saying they are damaged or incomplete. The viewfinder is VERY slow, taking a few seconds to open the windows. Is there a way I can reconstruct something to find my feature?
I'm scrolling my Applications folder and all icons are generic. I can't start anything.
