Keyboard backlit S50 - B - 15 p of satellite does not

Hello..

I have model S50 - B - 15 p with 10 Windows installed. I never checked if the backlit keyboard worked on Windows 8.1, as soon as I got it I have upgraded to Windows 10.

I have installed all the drivers for the Toshiba Windows 10 upgrade page but as before, the keyboard works just not backlit.
I opened the software utility eco and checked for the backlit keyboard at eco mode settings, however there is no and no parameters exist in BIOS either. The keyboard has the symbol to activate backlit button Z however by pressing FN + Z does nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? T the same keyboard not this function, or is defective?

Thanks, Craig

I have the same problem as its with you
my laptop is Satellite S50T-B1391, which is again just 4 days, I check every thing like you Fn + Z does not work the bios is the new version and nothing is there also nothing backlit in eco utility app

I check in victory 8.1 before the upgrade and earn 10 all have the same problem

  • C850-A797 - Bluetooth driver satellite does not work after upgrade to win 10

My laptop Satellite C850-A797 upgraded to windows 10 last week and Bluetooth driver not working since upgrade,

I installed the battery Bluetooth for windows ver.9 but it also does not work.

can someone help me with this please?

C850 satellite is not listed as a book of 10 Windows compatible.
This means that Win 10 drivers are not available for this unit.

In any case, I recommend you to go to Device Manager and remove / remove Bluetooth all the partners of the devices and entries.
In the view of mark tab also the option Show hidden devices in order to get the big picture complete.

Now after reboot, win 10 must search for removed devices and drivers missing.

I hope this could solve your problem of BT.

  • C55-A-100 satellite does not power down after update BIOS 1.30

A week ago, the Toshiba software installed on my C55-A-100 Satellite suggested that I installed a new version of the BIOS to 1.3.

Since installing it my Satellite will not turn off.
If I close the lid the screen turns off but the laptop is running, if I open the lid nothing happens and I have to keep my finger on the power button to force it to close.

The same thing happens if I press the power button to turn off, blank screen and it continues to run, then I have to force a shutdown by holding the power button pressed down. I also noticed that the satellite seems to take ages to power.

Can anyone provide a solution or experienced the same problems.

The Satellite is running win 8.1

    Thank you

    Ben

Please change, as described on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm and try to proceed to a complete stop.
    It work correctly?

Have you noticed this problem just at the moment where you change the options of closing lid and pressing the power button?

  • L775-11N satellite does not power ON battery new

When I plug in the battery, the battery led blinking stars (according to the manual, it means that the battery has any energy and does not load).

When it is plugged in, I cannont start the computer, I have to take and put it after.

What can I do to make my battery work?
This is the second I buy, from two different sites, the number of model is strictly the same.

Thanks in advance, sorry for my bad English (french is my mother tongue)

    Hello

    > This is the second I buy, from two different sites, the number of model is strictly the same.
The part number on the label may be the same, but probably isn t product Toshiba genuine battery.
You probably bought some cheap battery China labeled as a real framework for this model of laptop.

    > What can I do to make my battery work?
You have some many options. If the battery isn't fully compatible and does not, you would need to replace it.

  • P50T-A - Bluetooth satellite does not earn 8.1

Since I bought my laptop Toshiba Satellite P50t-A-125 2 weeks ago I had problems with bluetooth. My mouse kept unplugged and I had to disable the pairing and pair again over and over again to make it work. The device itself in the laptop kept on track to disappearance from the Device Manager and I managed to get it back again by reinstalling the drivers.

However, now no matter what I can not do the bluetooth device to reappear in Device Manager. I looked for new devices, but it does not. There is now an unknown USB device (device descriptor request failed) showing under USB controllers. I update the drivers but it says that they are up-to-date.

I tried searching online and seen many people having this problem with Windows 8.1 and all the solutions I've tried not to make a difference. My laptop came with pre-installed Windows 8.1 so I would have thought that Toshiba would have made sure bluetooth Windows 8.1 before making them available for sale but obviously would not work.

Any idea on how to add bluetooth in Device Manager?

    > Now that he's back, I could uncheck the power management settings on the computer to turn off this device to save power (as has been suggested online) allow and so far (fingers crossed), it has remained stable except for a time he stopped work briefly.
    Good news! Thanks for sharing!

  • C50D-A-12R satellite does not power up if the battery connected

    Hello!!!

I am writing this message cause I was using my laptop and sudenlly it shuts. At first, I didn't know why, I tried to turn it on by pressing the botton, but I failed. Then, I thought I had the battery charger unplugged, but it wasn't. After a few minutes I took the battery and connect the charger, then my laptop run.

I spend a few hours searching on the Web sites about problems with the battery charger o, and I find that my laptop doesn't recognize the battery cause of pilots o something like this, so I ASK FOR HELP!
Now, I can only use my laptop if one take out the battery and plug the charger.

If anyone knows what might happened to my laptop, Please HELP.

I forgot, my laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C50D-A-12R.

P.D. sorry my English, I'm from the Spain and several years ago, I finally study English.

In General, the laptop should work fine in connection with and without the battery.
The unit should turn on if the battery is removed but connected to the power adapter.

Also if the battery is connected and worn, the unit should operate without the power adapter connected.
So what is wrong here? To be honest, I don't think there could be some sort of driver but first of all problems that you should try to recover the laptop to factory settings just to check if the device works by using the preinstalled Toshiba OS and settings.

If the device does not work properly even after the recovery process, I recommend checking the functionality of the laptop as part of the NEW pile of good work.

Your device is still covered by the warranty?
If so, you should communicate with the Toshiba ASP because in case of hardware problems, ASP you should fix free device...

  • L50T-A-11 X satellite does not illuminate

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite L50t-A-11 X 15 days ago, and it seems that it is already out of use...

The laptop does not light: when I press the power switch, it sounds like it's actually working, then the screen seems turns on but remains black... The strange thing is that the cursor appears, but nothing else...

Another thing to mention is the 'Power' led to the back of the computer.

I tried to plug the laptop, unplug the laptop, press the switch for a few seconds and restart it, but none of it worked.

Could you please give me some advice on how to fix this?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

    > The strange thing is that the cursor appears, but nothing else...

Do you mean a blinking cursor appears in the upper left corner?
Hmm sounds like HARD drive or memory problem

    Guess what?
Turn the laptop over. At the bottom of the unit, you will find a small hole. It s close to the Bay of memory. The small hole requires the laptop to stop.
Insert something like a trombone to force close. Maybe it helps if not contact the service centre to check the unit

  • My Satellite does not illuminate

    Hey,.
I have a satellite M40 fueling not on. I got a message on a blue screen saying: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and it stop immediately after. When I turn on the laptop the power of orange light flash for a second. After 3 or 4 seconds, it turns on... for 2 seconds before turning off again.
I try to connect the laptop with the power adapter but doesn't change anything.
    Thanks for your help guys.

    HI Ludovic,.

It would seem that your laptop does not reach its initial POST process and the blink code on the power LED will give the service guy a clue as to the probable cause. Unfortunately there is no documentation available desribing these blink codes so you will need to take your laptop to a repairer approved so that it sets.

    Kind regards

  • C50-A-19 t satellite does not start with the battery mounted

    OK, first post here.

I see similar questions coming, but as they are never QUITE the same, I am that posing in a new thread.

I left my Satellite from one day to the next (do not remember if I had put off, or he simply had 'gone to sleep', but it has been connected to the grid).

When I got to reboot, I got a power light on, but screen blank (black). After reading a few similar complaints on the internet (via another laptop!), I tried to remove the battery and power from the grid.
This worked well (I write him in this state right now).

But whenever I put the battery and try again, it will fail in the same way.
I tried this company "press and hold power for 30 seconds" without success (but I'm not 100% sure of the EXACT procedure actions sequence).

    I have a few questions:

    (1) I take the laptop away from my office - is there a problem with everything just works like this (i.e. of the grid, with no battery inserted) indefinitely?

    (2) in any case, I want to solve the problem.
If the battery has run COMPLETELY flat, and that the laptop can not it lights but also operate normally?

Alternatively, is probably that the battery has not experienced a catastrophic failure and simply needs to replace?
If so, I'll just buy a. BUT...

What I don't want to do, is to pay for a costly spare battery, to find that it was actually another factor at the origin of the problem, and I'm back to square one and out of Pocket!

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Thank you

    Mike

    Hello

According to your assignment, in most cases, you use the laptop connected to the power adapter but no battery. Is this correct?

First we need to know that if the AC adapter is plugged in, the laptop should work correctly with - and without inserting the battery.
If you unplug the AC adapter, the laptop should automatically switch to battery power. In this case, it is important that the battery is pretty cool power to provide the power for the laptop.
In case the battery is empty, the laptop will not light.

I recommend to insert the battery plug the power adapter and charge the battery for a longer period of time.

You should also check if the battery is recognized by the Windows system and the battery charge indicator (battery in the taskbar icon) shows the State of battery charge.

In case the battery is fully charged and the laptop does not work using the battery power only, you should test the new battery.
If new battery does not solve the problem, s for laptop hardware needs an audit.

  • M - series of satellites does not start successfully

    Hello

I have the following problem: all of a sudden (don't know why, nothing has changed) portable Satellite shows black white screen with all the following:

    (Sorry, translated from German):

Windows does not started correctly... due to software or hardware change... If the error was due to stop pls choose last functional configuration...

But this does not, as all the other options (windows boot as normal starting point, in safe mode... has failed.

    No idea what happenend!

    Problem:

Actually moved to another country and you have forgotten or lost the recovery CD! already contacted Toshiba for the nine, but perhaps when even someone can help?

If all goes well it s not a malfunction of the equipment.
In any case, in the first stage, you should try to reinstall the OS to see if this problem is software or hardware related.

  • L50-B-1VP satellite does not recognize external monitor

I recently bought by Satellite L50-B-1VP and I have some problems to connect it to my TV.
I tried to use an HDMI cable and a VGA cable, but nothing happens.

The cables and the TV are ok because I've used them before.
When I try with the HDMI, it is said; no signal detected, but using the type TV VGA cable of restarts and the screen is black. I am using Windows 7 32 bit and I tried Fn + F4 and also Windows + P.

The problem is that the external TV is not recognized and it does not appear in the display settings.
    What can I do?

If someone could help me I would appreciate it a lot!

The phone is sold without a preinstalled Windows System. It seems that you have installed and configured Windows 7 at your own hand.

Well, I guess that the problems with the video output may be related to missing drivers or a bad configuration of the system.
From my point of few, you check some key points.

First I would recommend you to check if the essential graphics driver has been installed.
The laptop does not support dedicated graphics card, but the CPU (Intel N3540) provides internal GPU Intel HD Graphics.

So I recommend you to reinstall the Intel and the Intel Chip Set Utility display driver

  • C50-A0113 satellite does not start in windows

    Hello.

    I have a toshiba satellite laptop C50-A0113 8 64-bit windows running.

Ive had exactly two years a few days ago I restarted and then when it starts up, it stops at the screen "Toshiba leading innovation" and then he said: scanning and repair drive C, while on this screen it starts the process and then stops at 34%.

It was two days ago now it just gets stuck on the "screen toshiba innovation leader" and then after a few minutes, it says preparation auto repair.

Then he leaves the screen and goes to a screen black for a few minutes then flashes the blue screen written "your computer has encountered a problem" then restarts.

I tried to create a bootable windows disc 8 in order to repair, but it does not start even in the usb port.
I restart and press f12 to select the media to begin. It checks the media goes to the toshiba screen, then everything goes black for a few minutes until what it restarts.

Can I please know what is the problem and how can I possibly fix it because the problem is clearly not my hard drive.

I have removed and put into another laptop and it was fine

    Hello

If you want to start Notepad using external media (such as a CD or USB flash memory key) you must disable the secure in the BIOS boot option.

If you want to install Win 7, you must also pass the CSM mode UEFI Boot Mode.

For me it of not quite clear if you created the recovery media (flash memory stick or disk)

If you created one in the past, you could use this recovery media to put the laptop back to factory settings.

In the case where this is not possible, some of the material (perhaps HDD) could be affected.
