Hi, I'm a new Member here and am wondering of there is a possibility to connect a wireless mouse for my 820 W4 Iconia Tablet?

It is pretty easy to do, but you need the appropriate adapter cable (I have this: http://www.amazon.ca/Asuxtek%C2%AEMicro-USB-Host-OTG-Cable/dp/B00E8CL09Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1407... but something similar will work).  Plug you it into the USB on the W4 and receiver microphone wireless for the mouse inside and you're good to go.  The one drawback is that you can't easily load the W4 during use.

  • Missing labels of power management on the external keyboard, wireless mouse, wireless mouse, all different brands

On my laptop HP HDX18 only the touchpad and keyboard have power management tab to enable them to wake the computer.

My external keyboard of Firefly, wired Kensington mouse and Logitech wireless mouse all have not the power management tab. I wrote to Logitech about this and they said that I needed new ACPI/USB drivers. I installed the latest Intel chipset drivers I knew from the updated HP drivers website.

HP told me that it is normal, current is cut for USB hubs. Which is ridiculous. I have disenabled the selective suspend for the USB ports under settings in Device Manager and power went to each USB hub and unchecked "allow the computer to turn off the power of the device", which can be the meaning of HP. I have the latest version of the BIOS. But still no power management tab is displayed.

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

Wireless 800 keyboard and Wireless Mobile mouse 3500 are two different devices, they have different drivers. If the driver is not used or if it is not installed on the computer, then the device will work or function.

There is no such driver that could you use 800 wireless keyboard and mouse Wireless Mobile 3500 together.

  • Human i/o: your fave keyboard and mouse for editing?

It suddenly occurred to me that, with my new smokin' system ' on the way, I have no way to interface with it. I mean, I'm sure it's going to be totally simpatico and merge with my waves Theta, but what happens if I really want something?

Are there keyboards actually any decent and meeses out there that are good for video editing? To clarify, I don't mean for one of the keyboards Candy-colored with custom buttons NLE - those who are pretty useless, because I remap most of my keys on the one hand, and on the other hand, I think that they are usually overpriced clicky clacky garbage.

Unfortunately, most of the keyboards I actually like (Microsoft more curvy, for example - always loved since the first model, that I always own) seem to be well designed for typing, but not so much for the video editing, where the fingers often leave the keys. And many mice have all these ridiculous centered on Internet navigation buttons that make just bulky and quick to fill with dirt from the hand.

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but with the many hours I spend to banging away on a keyboard and the twinges of sharp shoulder, arm and wrist pain that I can that assume are the first signs of carpal syndrome, I would find a decent facility that makes these hours at least moderately more nice.

    Thanks for your suggestions!

    Hi Colin,

I believed that by using the trackball is so MUCH easier than a mouse to achieve a high degree of accuracy, because it is much easier to make adjustments tiny cursor using my fingers rather than move my whole arm.  This is especially true after a long editing sessions or work until late at night.  It is much more comfortable and less tiring to lay your hand on the trackball and move the cursor by the subtle movements of your fingers.  I have my speed slider set to 'fast' so that I never need to move my fingers to move more than one inch from one end of the screen to the other.  I am able to control the cursor so precisely that I often use it rather that switch to the Wacom for certain changes in Photoshop.

In addition, it's great for all the moves where you need to "click and drag", like moving through a chronology, or cut and paste.  With the default settings of most of the trackballs, you click and hold with the thumb while using your fingers to move the ball to slide - MUCH easier than with a mouse.

When I arrived at my new Wacom, I tried to use the mouse just because it's there... but just a trackball seems now much more ergonomic effective and somehow more intuitive - I find that using a mouse now is like trying to use a keyboard with mittens on.

It takes a few days to get used to, but I don't think that you won't be disappointed... in fact, I think that he is one of my most important devices, why I didn't mind spending the extra money for a more expensive.

  • How to install a wireless keyboard and mouse in Windows 7

I installed windows 7 on my neighbor's computer.  I do not have the keyboard and the mouse at the time so I used one of my own (not wireless).  Now, I have a keyboard and mouse, but can not understand how to operate.  The computer is a gateway FX400 XL.  I went to the front door and downloaded a driver entered Gateway 400 series for Windows 7 32-bit system.  I then ran the installation for this driver who really seemed to be for Windows XP.  I shut down the computer, unplugged my mouse and keyboard, and return the computer.  I have a cursor on the screen but it won't move and the keyboard does not work.  I then plugged my keyboard and mouse again and still works.  Any ideas as to what I should try next?

    Hello Willie Wonka 2,.

Mouse and keyboard wirelesss should have with its own installation disc you need to first install. You should also have a "receiver" which the mouse and the keyboard must be synchronized with to make them work properly. If you look at the bottom of the mouse and keyboard, you should see a button 'tiny' with the words 'connect' next to them. You must move the mouse close the "receiver" and press the button connect the mouse with a blunt object (pencil will usually do). All the lights of the "receiver" will start to Flash when the mouse connects. When they stop flashing the connection generally were filed. You will need to do the same thing with the keyboard.

Regarding the drivers, you should check the site of manufacturers of keyboard and mouse for the updates.

Control that the mouse/keyboard works in another system... d

If they work in another system

    (1) try to upgrade for your system chip set drivers, go to your motherboard manufacturer and search the drivers nessasry for win8

    (2) find the compatible drivers / fixes system with the manufacturer of keyboard mouse... wireless mouse must be connected via bluetooth. so have you installed the necessary drivers for bluetooth?

  • Keyboard and mouse not recognized

HP Pavilion P6620f Win 7 when I first starts the job of keyboard and mouse (for access to the bios, etc.), but as soon as Windows starts and my login screen the keyboard and the mouse do not work.  There is being able to go to both because they have lights lite on each.  I tried unplugging everything, including the power cord, and I removed the motherboard battery to try to reset it.  Nothing seems to work.

    Hello

I want to say that you don't have to disconnect the keyboard and mouse USB while trying this process. Once you have removed the USB drivers, the computer would have to re - discover the keyboard and mouse as a new device that may have circumvented the problem. So I read your reply message and it seems that you are unable to use your mouse and keyboard in safe mode. This is due to a problem of driver at this point. So there are only a few options left at this point in time:

1.) Perform a repair windows (not a reinstallation of the operating system), so that you can verify the integrity of your system drivers. At startup, you need to press F10, F11 or F12 to get into the system recovery.

Repair automatic running of the recovery disk is easy. After your system starts on the recovery disk and you follow the troubleshooting | Path via the menu advanced options, you will see the screen shown in Figure Aadvanced. Among the tools available on the screen advanced options, you will see the auto repair.

Figure a. Advanced screen, you will find four other tools that you can use to recover a damaged Windows System.

When you select the automatic repair option, you will see the screen shown in Figure B.

Figure B your first line of defense when it comes to recover a Windows 8 system is the automatic repair option.

Once you launch the automatic repair, it will begin to diagnose the problem to start and you will see the screen shown in Figure C.

Figure C in the first stage of its operation, the automatic repair will diagnose the problem.

During this diagnostic phase, automatic repair will scan your system and analyze the different parameters of the configuration options and files system searching files corrupt or botched configuration settings. Specifically, automatic repair will look for the following issues:

    • Missing/corrupt/incompatible drivers
    • Missing/corrupted system files
    • Missing/corrupt boot configuration parameters
    • Corrupt registry settings
    • Metadata for corrupted disk (master boot record, boot sector or partition table)
    • Installation of the problematic update

If it detects one of these types of problems, it will automatically attempt to correct them, as shown in Figure D.

Figure D auto repair has a diagnosis of your problem starting, it will attempt to fix it.

If the AutoFix can solve the problem, she will do without any intervention. It will then reboot the system and start normally.

2.) backup your important data and restore complete system of the operating system.

If you have any further questions please send me a message.

HP PAVILION DV9000 WITH VISTA 64. KEYBOARD AND MOUSE FOR LAPTOP DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE AND CAN NOT FIND THE DRIVERS. ANY SUGGESTIONS OF HOW I CAN RESTORE THESE?

I had the top plug a mouse and external keyboard to access my laptop that works.

    Hello

    ·        What is the specific name of the laptop?

Check if an error code or error message is listed in the Device Manager.

    a. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

    b. expand the device and double click on the sub element.

Here is the link to the HP website to download the drivers for the keyboard and mouse, look for the specific model number and download the drivers for the same thing: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodSeriesId=1842187&prodTypeId=321957

You can uninstall the drivers for the keyboard and the touchpad and install the drivers from the link above or let the update of Windows install the drivers for the device:

    a. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

    b. expand the device and right click on the sub element and click on uninstall.
