LabVIEW Application developed on Win - XP can be run on Win - 8?

Hello..

I'm working on Labview 2013 on Windows XP.

I made some Application installers using win - XP that work fine on Win - XP, Win 7 32 bit and Win - 7 64-bit.

I want to know if they can be run on Windows-8 or not?

Yes, it should work, any application that is developed in LabVIEW 2010, should work on windows 8. However, NEITHER officially said 2012. See the link below.

  • LabVIEW application developed on windows can be installed under linux?

    Hi all

I use suite developer LabVIEW 2009 on windows 7 PC. I was wondering if the application created with labview on PC can be deployed on the linux platform? If not, is it possible to develop the LabVIEW application on windows to deploy on linux platform?

I was also wondering if computers single-board as Beagleboard, Raspberry Pi are loaded with linux, labview application can be deployed on these computers?

(in simpler words, I wonder, with existing suite of Labview 2009 developer on windows, can I develop a data acquisition application and deploy it on single-board computers that have linux installed on them.)

    Thank you!

    Nilesh-

To create an exe on a Linux platform, you need LabVIEW for Linux with its application builder. You can open the source on the Linux machine.

  • Not a win32 application valid for all program + can't run bugs.

Not a single program is running, simply saying that it is not a win32, even with programs of Windows application. I can only access my default browser by typing a url in a title of file. Found some difficulties, but after downloading patches said, I get the error message saying: there is no interface to support. Have not downloaded anything in days, with the exception of the regular update of Windows. Almost seems like a virus deleted a piece of software, but nothing came on my virus scans before all this.

  • Application developed in Flash CS5 will not run on a Simulator

    Hi All-

I have a few applications that I created using Flash CS5 and adobe Air 2.5. Applications work fine in flash, but when I try to run on the Simulator I get an icon of 'thinking '... (5 points that scroll on the screen as if the PlayBook (Simulator) is stuck thinking)

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

nothing not (no pun intended hah) strikes me as being wrong. The magic.bar is in tiny vs the rest, but I don't think it would affect anything. also all the xml code under the original XML code you posted im assuming that was a copy and paste error? You seem to have all of the required fields you need for file descriptor.

  • How to connect USB-ERB24 devices to labview application

Hi iam, iam new to labview application development using NIUSB-9421 as module input and USB-ERB24 in the output module. I have sucessfully added NIUSB-9421module to my application using 'Digital IO DAQmx create Virtual Channel.vi'. But cannot add this module USB-ERB24 iam. Can someone please tell me how to detect "USB-ERB24" this module for my labview application please tell me...

I don't think that you will be able to use DAQmx with MCC USB-ERB24. You must run InstaCal (driver of MCC) to install the USB-ERB24 and get a card number for this unit (and build your application with the MCC screws).

I have LV2009 and I'm not able to open your USB_ERB24_test.vi.  The attachment is for USB-ERB24.

  • Run an application of LabVIEW 8.6 in win 7 (using the cDAQ-9172, 9219, 9422)

    Hello.

I did a LabVIEW application for a few years. At that time, I used windows XP and labview 8.6. The material used is the cDAQ-9172, with NEITHER-9219 (reading of four strain gage sensors) and a NOR-9422 (using only a single input frequency).

First of all, can I install my old version of labview 8.6 in my 64-bit computer to windows 7? I got an error message when I tried...

Second, how much should I install? My old computer was slower after you install labview with its pilots. Perhaps I installed too much? Do I have to install 1, 5 GB DAQmx drivers?

If I need a new version of labview for win 7, how much is an update?

    Thank you!

    Hello

First version of LabVIEW which is supported on Windows 7 is LabVIEW 2009 SP1.

Regarding the drivers, if you want to develop or run VI:s in LabVIEW with the DAQmx API, then you must install the full DAQmx driver.

If you only meet built executable in the LabVIEW environment to run, then you just DAQmx Base Runtime.

If you also want to be able to configure the data acquisition equipment (to the MAX) in a runtime environment, you should also Configuration DAQmx execution.

  • Windows 10 compatibility with applications developed in LabView

We have deployed several applications developed in LabView that are running OK under Win7 and Win8.x.

Are there problems of known incompatibility with 10 Windows and applications created with "LV2012 SP1 that read data from cards NiDaq". We should warn our clients to not upgrade their operating system or should we ask them to install a specific version of the runtime OR or NiDaq libraries?

    Best,

I have one is not concerned about the development environment as much as I'm worried about customers who use our products.

Well the development and EXE run the same runtime for code execution, and the same things like DAQmx drivers.  If you upgrade to Windows 10, and something goofy happens to the TCP stack, you call up NOR help, but they say the solution is to pass some version of LabVIEW is supported in Windows 10.  The probability of this happening is slim, but more strange things happened.

  • Where can I download LabVIEW NI Developer Suite 2012 64-bit?

We have for LabVIEW NI Developer Suite 2012 32-bit installation DVD. On the support page for LabVIEW 64-bit vs 32-bit FAQ, it says to download the 64-bit version in the "Windows Setup can be downloaded via the drivers and updates: LabVIEW 64-bit section of our Web site", but the Developer Suite for 2012 64 bit is not listed.

    Please notify.

Yes, you need SSP to make from this link. Really should have kept active ssp. Try the ftp site - http://download.ni.com/evaluation/labview/ekit/other/downloader/

  • In Labview 8.6 and MAX, I can change a scale for a voltage read the string in a task once the application has been built and installed.

In Labview 8.6 and MAX, I can change a scale for a voltage read the string in a task once the application has been built and installed on a second PC. Where's the info of the scale which is held?

    Hello

Once you have built your VI and compiled into an executable file and deployed on another machine, it essentially becomes a file read-only, which means that you will not be able to change the balance in this deployed application.

  • Can place my labview application on a public website .exe

    Hello

If I created a labview application only .exe and want to publish it on a public Web site so anyone can run it.

Is this feasible? If yes how?

    Please, step by step.

Yes, the computer that hosts the application requires the LabVIEW run-time engine. Panel will also require a licence for each connection. This is explained in the article I linked to.

  • How a LabVIEW application can be run from the account invited in Windows 7?

I want to do some of my labVIEW available visitors to temporary applications (no DAQ or involved external devices) in the laboratory. A natural choice would be the guest account in Windows 7, but if I try to run LabVIEW or one of my LabVIEW applications built, I get the following error message.

I don't know that this can probably be fixed with a few permission settings. What is the best way to enable these applications running from the guest account?

I think that the easiest thing would be to create another user account and set the permissions on that if guests are unable to get into the stuff you don't want them getting into.
