• Computer Vista laptop does not detect my speakers!

When I go to Device Manager, disable "high definition audio device" under "Audio, video and game controllers" and reset the laptop, the "digital output device (HDMI)" disappears and no devices are listed on the playback tab in the volume mixer. When I activate the "device high definition audio ' back, the digital output device (HDMI) appears again. So I'm assuming that the computer recognizes speakers as HDMI device even if there is no plug HDMI connected to the laptop.
