Laptop HP Pavilion Envy 6: Laptop doesn't turn on (no light on the charger)

I used my laptop this morning. Left the House and when I came back about 6 hours later it will not light. It does not seem either not be load (no traffic at all). I've never had this problem before. I use this laptop for the administration of the Church and school work. I really need to turn on. I tried to load it, but I don't think it's the same in charge. What is the charger? Help, please!

Based on what you said so far, there is no way to check the motherboard if you are unable to boot up the laptop and go to Diagnostics of PC hardware or start on a flashdrive of Diagnostics.

That's why I asked the question about the warranty.

This is where a factory or an extended warranty is very convenient. Warranty bat gun troubleshooting on your own service.

Replacing the battery to try and replace the systemboard are better left to service centers, in case of warranty. The latter is a bit more expensive.

OK... I learned to get the motherboard changed. How much it will cost in India for my laptop?

What do you suggest I should do?

How much will it cost in India?  I have no idea. I live in Europe.

I suggest to ask a repair shop of PC or laptop.

If the cost of repair is more than 50% of the current value of the laptop, you would be better sourcing of a notebook replacement.

I have a Pavilion DV9700, service tag dv9925r. When, I hear the fan running.

    What I've tried;

Hung still no display on an external monitor

Removed and reinstall the memory and hard drive, not good.

Tried the hard reset, not good.

I put another hard drive just to see if the disc was not, but no difference.

  • Laptop won't turn on, flashing lights

    Hello

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6z-1100 sound running a 64 bit version of windows 7 Home premium, and recently, he stopped at boot the system successfully. While being used, all of a sudden the screen went dead (without warning) and the computer turned off. To try to reactivate (while being connected to the power adapter) the computer turns on, the screen would have died stay and num/caps lock lights flashing regularly at an interval of 3 seconds.

I had been doing some notifications that my battery was less than the optimum capacity. After having this error before, I just ignored it and used the cord for the majority of my use of the laptop. My family has a similar laptop that I have taken the battery, interlaced for my friends and still couldn't turn on.

Any suggestions? I'm sure it's out of warranty.

I tried all the simple fixes, try reset hard and other.

Sounds like a hard drive problem. Get out of your drive hard and leave overnight in the freezer.

  • HP Pavilion m7667c, try to install Vista 32 bit. No OS - the charge not assigned drive letter.

My HP Pavilion PC m7667c console was at the origin of many blue screens. After several diags that does not solve the problem, I replaced the power supply because the block is dead.  Then replaced the motherboard.  The XP PC operating system will not recover because the BONE had already improved Multimedia Pro XP to VISTA. I can get the VISTA OS to run from my CD to upgrade to VISTA, but the operating system is not found, because there is no drive letter assigned to the drive.  I tried a replacement for the HD signal cable but no help.  I can't on a screen so windows help.  At this point, I'm ready to reformat the hard drive then maybe I could partition and assign a drive.  Any suggestions?

  • 10 - e013la: my laptop is not turning on.

Hi, I really need help. My laptop does not light and I tried everything. When my power adapter is connected there is also no light, but there is light when I plug it into my brothers laptop computer, so I don't think that the charger is the problem. I removed my battery and left for a while and put it in backwards, but nothing happens. My phone is completely broken?

What has been the response in the wiggle test?

If nothing, then that means the motherboard has problems. There is a section of distribution of the charge\power on the motherboard that may fail. The only resolution is the replacement of the motherboard.

  • HP ENVY laptop - 15-ae178ca: Second monitor stopped working after the automatic update of HP

I use my laptop with a second monitor (HP Pavillion 22xw) connected by HDMI. It was working fine until yesterday (including yesterday it worked), when a message from automatic upgrade HP was shown to informing him that the system needs to be restarted. After that, my second monitor stopped working. The system will not identify it more. I tried another cable, I rebooted several times, I tried to update the specific Intel graphics driver, I tried to uninstall and install manually another (I can't get this one done, because when I run manually downloaded driver there is a message saying that I need to contact the manufacturer). Please notify that I need my second monitor is fully functional!

I understand that you have a problem with the display and wanted to help you!  I see only after an update, the external monitor no longer works.

Given that this problem happened recently, have you tried to perform a System Restore, to define the notebook to its previous working state?  If this does not work, have you tried to update the drivers of graphics Chipset and BIOS on the HP website directly?  You can find the drivers for you product here: drivers - HP's ENVY for laptop - 15-ae178ca

  • Pavilion dv6700: Pavilion laptop computer under Vista: Windows does not start, the Startup Repair cannot fix it. What to do next?

    Hello
My laptop seven year old made me proud til yesterday, but now it does not fire upwards. Instead, it hangs for a minute or two (black screen, no HARD drive light blinks, nothing), while it charges to a screen with two options - either start the system restart or start Windows normally. The second option takes me around the loop again. The first option tells me that it cannot fix the problem automatically. When I display the error details, it lists all of the tests, as adopted successfully, but ends with the words: "Root cause found: failure so that the Setup program is underway.

I'm sure I know why she fell: two days ago, I left all my files on a portable player and defragmented the disk. The idea was to speed up the machine and get it running like new. He immediately started to hang when connecting, so I thought, well I'll go for a complete restoration of the system. I followed the procedure using the disks provided with the machine, and that's when it stopped working completely. I felt that this was more than the aging than HARD drive could take.

My attempts at rejuvenation have actually caused his untimely death? Or is there a difficulty - something I could undertake?

Or should I just bite the bullet and go and buy a new machine? When everything (screen, keyboard and trackpad) worked so well, it seems a shame...

Any help or thoughts welcome. Thank you

If you really want to resurrect, you could certainly purchase a new hard drive and try to restore the system of work using the recovery media - but then, even if it did work, you would have still lost all your data, settings, and applications in the process - and having to reinstall all your applications everywhere again.

Hey, don't feel bad, I'm guilty of this too - has recently attempted to resurrect an era Tablet XP PC so that it can run Win10!  He went from XP to Vista, Win7, for Win8 - and along the way, gains of new memory and drives hard - but the Win10 bet was too.  So, I got to a "give up to use it.

However, I also kept a cell phone 5 year alive by replacing the HDD with a SSD and adding more memory.  So now it is faster than ever, it has been and works like new.

But... He has NO touchscreen, there no USB3 ports, it doesn't have 1 GB ethernet - and the list goes.

Thus, it works very well for what we use it for - but it can't really be upgraded, so sooner or later, we will have to replace it.

Everything depends on how much you need 'new' - touch screen, stylus, handwriting, camera, 3 USB ports, display port jack, HDMI ports... etc.
