• Java Web Start application runs under jre8u40 but not jre8u51

  We have a Java web application that uses javaws. It runs very well under the update of Java 8 40, but under the update Java 8 51 jp2launcher.exe stops right, without launching the application.

  • I found the papers in C:\Users\me\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\log, but they are identical between j8u40 and j8u51 (except of course for the order of pots are loaded, the version of jre and the start time).
  • I connected the launch using Process Monitor for the two versions of jre. Under j8u51, jp2launcher.exe ends with just the result of 'SUCCESS' Comparing the two newspapers procmon, I can't choose anything unusual. They have both search in the directory C:\Users\me\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment and their respective C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_XX\lib directories and others like, but then the j8u51 there is only.
  • The Windows event logs show any what that touch of Java.
  • I managed to run the jnlp whose value "JAVAWS_VM_ARGS = - Xcheck:jni - XX: - TraceClassLoadingPreorder - XX: + PrintCommandLineFlags-verbose: jni-verbose: class - verbose: gc - XX: + PrintGCDetails-Djava.util.logging.config.file=C:\misc\logging.properties" and connect the stdout/stderr. It looks like an end to newspapers javaws and jp2launcher for versions of the output, then both jre8u40 and jre8u51. Probably in the j8u40 version it launches another jp2launcher.exe to run the application.
    • Comparing newspapers two output gives nothing interesting. Classes are loaded in almost the same order, for the most part identical classes other than the few differences that are explained easily by just be more up-to-date used classes.
  • Finally, I was able to launch the application directly, using java.exe, by getting the customer their unpacking and installing the server files. The application itself works fine in jre8u51, so the problem is definitely javaws himself.

  I find very little documentation on the inner workings of Java Web Start and no documentation at all on jp2launcher.exe. Can anyone suggest what could go wrong here, or other diagnostic measures I can take?

• Equium laptop computer connects cable but not wireless

  I m hoping someone can help. I have a laptop Toshiba Equium and it has been connected wireless for centuries. All of a sudden last night it stopped working.
  I have 2 of these laptops and it works fine and all my phones in the House and consoles are connect wireless fine so I know that this is not a problem with the hub.

  I try to make a new connection and it says unable to connect and when I click the diagnose button, it says "windows received no response from the access point or wireless router.

  I can use the net fine with a wired connection to the hub.
  When I check for available wireless connections it shows my super blank hub with excellent signal
  I tried updating drivers and also uninstall the card network wireless and re install but this nature does nothing.

  Please can someone help. more necessary info just reply.

  If I understand you right WLAN adapter is installed and enabled correctly, your laptop can detect WLAN but cannot connect to it, right?
  Have you tried to reboot your router?

  What operating system do you use?

  I got this computer for several years and have made sure he and his drivers are up-to-date.  I've recently updated the os of Windows 10.  Everything went well.

  Now I want to buy Headphones Wireless 'bluetooth' and I want to be sure before buy you that Hp can provide the right driver for it.  Their Hp Assistant can only help those who are still under warranty and of course mine is too old, although at the point where I am confident he can the latest Intel chip (I7).

  Jnulr, welcome to the forum.

  The manufacturer of the helmet is responsible for developing the driver for it.  You should check their Web site to win 10 software and the driver.

• My laptop is plugged in but not charging

  My phone displays 'sometimes' that it does not load even if the power is connected.

  I called HP Tech Support twice.  Each time, they asked me to update the BIOS and firmware

  before performing the battery test (both at startup and using HP diagnostic S/W).  The test always

  said that the battery is OK.  I can run the laptop without battery installed without any problem, which

  probably does the charger.

  This problem comes and goes.  HP is unwilling to do anything until the problem can be clearly

  identified.  My warranty is about to expire (in 3 days), and I'm afraid that this problem won't get

  resolved before this date.  Could someone help me with this problem?

  Thank you billtorbitt. Without knowing more about your question, here's a myriad of battery related documents. Go through all and let me know what you have determined is causing the problem. • HDX 18 laptop: DVD drive plays but not Blu - ray discs. No idea why?

  Drive seems to work fine and it plays DVDs, but when I insert a Blu - Ray disc, Media Smart software opens and after a few seconds, a boc opens and asks me "do you want to check for updates?"  with a Yes and no button.  No button produced no results and the Blu - Ray does not play.  Any thoughts?

  If you use HP MediaSmart DVD to read Blu - ray disc, try the following.

  HP now provides a version of PowerDVD 10 Cyberlinks which seems to be a better solution.  Download the installer for it on the link below and save it to your desktop.

  FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp53001-53500/sp53029.exe

  When the download is complete, open windows panneau Panel configuration, open programs and features, right click the entry for HP MediaSmart DVD and select uninstall - once this process is complete, restart the laptop.

  When windows has reloaded, double-click the installer for PowerDVD 10 start the installation.  Once this done, see if your Blu - ray disc now plays OK.

  I would check the cable carefully.  Sometimes, some of the wires are loose from the plug.  See if the laptop can connect to cables in other places.  If possible, the problem is with the cable and not on your computer.

  Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Answers forum! The IP address of your laptop must be assigned by DHCP through your router. Proceed as follows to make sure that your laptop computer to obtain an IP address automatically:

  ·          Open network and sharing Center via Control Panel or by double-clicking on network control and select Properties.

  ·          Click on to view the status of

  ·          Click on Properties

  ·          When Windows asks your permission to continue, click continue .

  ·          Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) , and then click Properties

  ·          Verify that the obtain an IP address automatically and DNS server obtain an address automatically are selected.

  ·          Follow the same steps for the connection of your Internet Version 6 (TCP/IPv4) Protocol

  ·          Click OK and exit to the desktop.

  I would then recycle your adapter to disconnect manually for 10 to 20 seconds and then reconnect. Your connection once we connected is displayed, try to connect to the internet.

• E7440 latitude: Wake-on-Lan works when the laptop is turned off, but not when it's put into hibernation

  I have a Latitude E7440 running a clean install of Windows 10. If the computer has been stopped, I can use a Wake - On - Lan Magic Packet to the MAC address of the Ethernet port (as described here) to turn the computer back on. But if the computer is in hibernation, it does not work.

  Probably, it is that when the computer is in hibernation the link on my switch light is off, but when it is stopped, the link light is on.

  So my question is: How can I get this phone to maintain the LAN port when hibernation, in the same way on shutdown? Thanks in advance.

• I can open and use You Tube under Internetexplore but not with Firefox. I was stuck on my browser.

  Since a few weeks I can't use You Tube more with Firefox it crashes my firefox. I tried it with Internet Explorer and it works. I fact everthing Java and flash drives. When I'm on You Tube I had a red arrow and clicking I fot 'an error occurs, try again later' I'm more than 3 weeks later and its stil the same.
