Hello
Power outages often lead to problems of material with computers / laptops.
If there's nothing on the start screen (HP Logo, etc.) at startup, you may have a hardware problem.
If under warranty contact HP.
If this isn't the case, under services, contact a repair shop, local.
See you soon.

I tried to do a system restore but get error inconsistent attributes for 'rstrui.exe '. I also had the message to ShellExecuteEX.exe when you try to install an application and even trying to download the Windows 7 Upgrade advisor. Just to check, I tried to run msconfig from the start and even gives me the message attributes. I am running Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2 installed. Advice please. Thank you, Roger P
Hi Roger P.
· When the issue started?
· Remember to make any hardware or software comes to the computer before this problem?
· What antivirus application is installed on your computer?
Method 1:
You can try to run a SFC scan and check.
This problem may occur if a system file is missing or damaged.
You can refer to the method-the System File Checker tool in the following article:

SE error windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working on Windows Vista
Original title: (Rundll32)
Need help fixing this problem microsoft windows popup message, process host windows (Rundll32) has stopped working.
Hello
1. When you get this error message?
2. were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?
Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists, if the question does not persist then perform the clean boot and check if the problem resolves.
Step 1: safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Step 2: To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts
Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.
Hope this information helps. -

HIDData.exe has stopped working in Windows Vista SP2
I am running Windows Vista w/SP2 on a Compaq CQ70 w/an Intel T3200 2.0 ghz processor. I recently installed a USB Bluetooth device. I get the error "HIDData.exe stopped working" reported before with a USB Bluetooth mouse. Every avenue, I used to try to find a solution show KB941600 cumulative update installation. However, when I started to install the update, I learned that it is applied to a different operating system than the one on my computer. I guess that's because it applies to Windows Vista without SP2 installed. Is there a way to solve this problem for the updated Vista version?
Hi IXOYE4Us,
This error may occur due to the old version of the HP Quick Launch Button software. If you have installed a HP Quick Launch toolbar, then you can try to disable the toolbar HP Quick launch at startup or uninstall it and check.
You can try to perform a clean boot and try disabling the HP Quick launch at startup toolbar.
For more information about execution of boot, you can consult the following link:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
You can also view the following link to uninstall a program:

Somehow when I installed my HP Envy, I was able to get the Favorites of my Dell laptop which uses Windows Vista in Favorites on my desire that has Windows 8.1. Now, they are not there and I don't know how to recover. Tried the system restore, but no luck.
Hello:
If you are referring to the favorite links to Internet Explorer, it's what I do...
Get a USB and navigate to your Vista username account and copy the Favorites folder on the flash drive.
Plug the USB on your new PC W8.1, go in your user name folder and copy the Favorites folder in this window and let it overwrite the existing Favorites folder, as you see here.
After the Vista Favorites folder replaces the empty Favorites W8.1 folder, you should be all set when you open Internet Explorer on your new PC.
