I print mostly black and white documents. I recently had 2 ink color of defamation in the pages that are supposed to be just in black and white printed. The first was the magenta, and it might discolor the entire page. The second was yellow, and it could fade just the left and right margins. It was two cartridges to Cartridge World, and they have done very well for some time after the installation or always had plenty of ink left when this problem occurred. The manager at Cartridge World has estimated that perhaps the part of the waste of the cartridge has been complete over time and flees to the ink. He said that for most black and white print still causes the drum on the cartridges of color to turn and empty the little ink in waste room. His suggestion was to get a second monochrome printer for most usage of my impression and just this HP product when the color is required. Who is? Other suggestions? If I replace the suspicious cartridges, print returns to normal, at least for a while.

    Hi @la1959,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

According to the website of Cartridge World, http://www.cartridgeworld.com, it seems to me that these cartridges are rebuilt (refills). And, the information in this guide, can I refill the ink in my HP ink cartridge? States:

Yes, you can. But what do you want? QualityLogic, one of the organizations of quality foremost in the world, has tested the performance of HP refurbished vs brand inkjet print cartridges (filled). • HP Laserjet Pro 200 m251nw: I've got streaks printing on laserjet 200.

All of a sudden, I have red streaks, printing on the right side of my documents. I tried using the cleaning page and it doesn't seem to help. I also have small black dots in various parts of the document which keep appearing on my documents. Cleaning that does not either.

It seems to be a residue of red on the sponge roll just before the paper out of the printer. How can we clean this roller or must it be replaced to correct? I used my vacuumn to try to clean it up, but it doesn't do any good.

    Need help.

    Hey @AlaskaMariner,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have a problem of magenta print quality printing of your color HP LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw of the printer. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Thanks for the troubleshooting steps you have already tried before reaching out for support, including.

On this model of printer there no zones in the product that you can clean it manually. The only method supported this printer paper path cleaning and area of the cartridge is running the cleaning page. You may need to run the cleaning a few times page to fix this.

Sometimes red streaks can be caused by a low toner cartridge. When toner is low, it can gather in some areas inside the cartridge and create a "streak". I can have you hold the cartridge by the sides and shake it gently from left to right to redistribute the toner. Once the cartridge has been shaken, reinstall the cartridge. Once your cartridge is re-installed, please test print to see if the problem of dragging is still happening.

If the problem persists you can please click here for the steps of quality supported by your printer. "Once the document of support opens please run through the steps to"check toner cartridge status"", "make the diagnosis of additional print quality" and "inspect the drum unit for damage".

If the quality issue persists you may need to try a new HP authentic to verify whether this problem is caused by a magenta cartridge faulty cartridge or the printer.

The black dots that you see are often caused by a dirty paper path roller or fuser on your printer number. As mentioned previously, the only way to solve a dirty paper path would be to run several pages of cleaning. A defective fuser unit would lead to a replacement of the entire unit.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

    Hello

I just got today the printer (Color LaserJet Pro 200, M251nw).  I can't find the driver for Windows 8.1 RT.  Can you point me to a place I can download the driver from the RT?  The compatibility of Microsoft site says it's compatible...

    Thank you!

    @Stacey_CA

The RT surface of windows is a basic tablet arm and use the drivers included in your operating system (in-os drivers). Please use the document below to help you to install the driver that is included in your operating system. You don't need to download anything.

  • LaserJet Pro 200: Impression of dark color LaserJet Pro 200 m251nw

I recently bought and installed a printer of Color LaserJet Pro 200 and have noticed that when I print anything either in the color of the image is very "dark".

When I print the example page, via the touch screen, the image seems very bright and vibrant. However, whatever it is printed via my computer throug h that an application is dark with almost oversaturated colors.

I downloaded and installed the most recent driver from the HP site and nothing has changed. The printer is connected wireless to the home network and I tried not directly connected to the computer at the moment.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

In the Printing Preferences screen (click Properties or settings of the print dialog box in the application used to print to access printing preferences screen), try disabling the HP EasyColor option in the color tab.

Also try to select the themes of different colors like photograph (sRGB) or Photo (Adobe sRGB).

You can see any difference with the results then?

  • Print on the two option (duplex) sides missing Mac 10.8 for LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw

I just purchased and installed a printer LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw.

From a Windows 7 machine, the properties of the printer box allows an option (I think on the finishing tab) for printing duplex (manual), which when used will then display a screen printing by telling you how to remove paper from the output tray and reload at the entrance, then press ok to continue with the other side of each print sheet.  I tried my laptop and it works fine.

Even if it is a manual process for this printer, I would really like to be able to do when printing from my Mac, but it doesn't seem to be a way to select duplex printing.  Is it possible to have this feature?  Is there something I need to set differently on the printer?  It would be really useful.  Thank you.

    Hello
The two-Sided feature reffer automatic two sided printing.
As the specific device provide printing manual duplex only, you can perform duplexing manual as follows:

In order to perform manual duplexing, Joanie you use the Pages to the printer setting, you will find listed in the manual duplex printing sectiong below:

  • LaserJet pro 200: location of the country of my printer was incorrect

Just installed this printer.  When he asked the countries that I said OK to the New Zealand instead of the Canada.  Now, she wants to do it all in A4.  How can I fix it?

    Hi Michael,

I admit it - I had to laugh, but I certainly don't think you are a fool.  I know that some products are not perhaps too clearly labelled.

For the LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw, to solve the problem of the country, you can do a cold reboot.  Please note that when you do so, the information and parameters are reset:

●Tous menu settings are reset to the factory default values.

All location settings, such as language and national and regional, are reset.

ATTENTION: All integrated network settings are also reset. Don't forget to print a Setup page before you run the rest. Make a note of the IP address that is listed on the Jetdirect configuration page. You may need to restore the IP address after an initialization/reset NVRAM. After performing a reset/initialize NVRAM, reconfigure all computers that print to this product.

    Here are the steps:

    1. turn off the product.

2 press and hold the lower left corner of the screen when you start the printer. There is a secret place on the screen which will trigger the cold reset process.  The spot is where the progress bar starts when the machine starts.

When the product has completed the NVRAM initialization, it returns to the ready state.

With regard to double-sided printing, here are the instructions for the M276nw.  The instructions are similar to another product - it must still move the paper.

  • Color HP LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw to print alignment

Images and text color print out of alignment.

The problem started the first day that we had the impression.  It took me a while to get into this diagnosis, but I tried the following:

I tried to replace the (expensive) with new toner cartridges.  The problem is even with the original Starter cartridges.

I tried a reset of the complete printer.

I tried to let the printer disconnected from the power supply for 24 hours.

I tried several features alignment in the printer menu.

Print black only is fine.  All other colors do not align between them or with blacks.  Creates a kind of 3D - ish into effect.

The quality of printers report displays all colors fine areprinting, but not aligned with each.

I have included scans of part of a rainbow impression that illustrates the displacement as well as the quality report page.

Thanks for letting me know James_LAG.

At this point, it looks like a hardware problem with the printer. Please call our technical support and you learn about a replacement printer, to 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number. Contact HP.

  • Color LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw: torn paper jam

    Hello

One of the printers of the company I am based in had a printer Jam recently, some people tried to remove the paper from the printer and ended up ripping it (as seen in the image above). I was wondering what should do us from here, I tried to get out the paper but I didn't chance, any advice is appreciated

It seems that the paper is stuck in the fuser unit.  Only suggestion I can offer is to do a search on google for the service manual and look for instructions to remove fusion and unit once you have the fuser unit you should be able to find a way to remove paper stuck in it.  Removal of the fuser unit is not as simple as that.

  • Color LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw: bad Color Laserjet Pro 200 M251nw print quality

    Hello

I've owned the above printer for 1 month and for the first two weeks, it worked fine. On his return from a week leave. When I now print the image resembles what I can only describe as if someone has dribbled water down causing the toners to face each other.  I cleaned and followed all the troubleshooting of things without success. I also checked the toner drums and they appear fine. Any help would be appreciated as I now seem to have a printer expensive usless

    Thank you

    Alan

    Hi @Al24,

I read your post and see that when printing now, the image looks as if someone has dribbled water down causing him the toners to face each other. I will definitely do my best to help you.

    You use Genuine HP Toner?
What are the levels of toner?

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    Run the printer calibration.
On the configuration of the system key touch printer, print quality, color calibration calibrate now.

Print a diagnostic Page to see if you have the same results. Trying to determine if it is a hardware or software problem.

Go to Setup, reports, arrow down and select diagnostic report.

I have a document with several steps to run a clean and check the settings of the printer driver.

    Troubleshooting print quality problems.

Make sure the paper type is selected and no paper said.

Check if the drum unit for damage:

    1. remove the cartridge of toner product and check that the tape has been removed.
    2. check the memory chip for damage.
3 examine the surface of the imaging drum on the bottom of the toner cartridge.
CAUTION: Do not touch the roller (Imaging drum) on the bottom of the cartridge.

His fingerprints on the imaging drum can cause print quality problems.
    4. If you see the scratches, fingerprints, toner or other damage on the imaging drum, replace the toner.
    5. If the imaging drum does not appear to be damaged, rock the toner cartridge gently several times and reinstall it. Print a few pages to see if the problem is resolved.

The test pages come out the same?

What kind of paper do you use?

If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the "Thumbs up" button below.

If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.

  • Color LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw incorrect location

An incorrect location for the printer M251 will affect app availability, technical support options, and a few other things frustrating. The LCD touch screen is a little wonky on the first Setup, and we accidentally chose a different country of our desired first config entry. Applications available in the connected site hp corresponding to the location set in place on the printer.

    Solution to be posted then.

To solve this problem (and potentially other set incorrect configurations), it must first make a backup of the configuration of the printer. This is done through the web pages of the printer, on the System tab, and then save and restore in the left navigation pane.

Once the file DeviceSave.xml is downloaded to your computer, open it in your text editor or XML editor. Attention, bad parameters in this file could cause problems with your printer configuration. Proceed with caution!

  • LaserJet Pro M251nw color 200: LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw memory is low...

I see that many others have had this same problem. Printer just 1 week out of the box. I tried to print as well via ethernet and wireless - same issue - something more than on a page of text quickly results in the message "memory is low job canceled". Both the firmware and the driver are updated. I've done several resets of power, and the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. IPv6 is disabled, print Archive is enabled. I tried to reset the printing system on my iMac, Yosemite 10.10.2 running. Extremely frustrating!

So, after a long conversation with technical support... it might be a Mac thing. I ended up printing of compensation system (delete all printers, then ctrl - click in the Printers box now empty) and reinstalling. Critical step here is to select the LaserJet Pro 200 by name, not the option 'Air Print. After reinstalling printing works great... until it doesn't. I had to repeat the process once already. A pain, but it works. Incidentally, I now use the wireless printer instead of via ethernet. Not sure if this is important, but it was the other suggestion made through technical support.
