    Hello Cubby2,

    Thank you for posting.  I did some research on your problem and found that Hearst use you Log-in name as the name of your drive.  That being said, before changing your account logon name is not possible.

    In the button, I have added this script:

    {We (Release)}

    gotoAndStop ("G1");

    G1 being the framelabel of the frame 2

  • Name of player Windows8 - collection Microsoft Solitare - automatically set?

    Hi all

    After the signature in Microsoft Solitare collection by my Microsoft Account ID & pass, I realized an unknown player name displayed as mine, and even nationality was different from my account of Ms.

    If this a usual thing to get, as they value a new random player name came as a defalut?  He scares me in a way...

    Hi Karen,.

    Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that an unknown player name as your name, and that another nationality is established for the account mentioned. I would like to inform you that the apps synchronize with the Microsoft Account and sometimes get configured according to the information gathered from the Microsoft Account.

    If this is the case, then it is possible that your account at Microsoft Solitaire collection has been created automatically as long as you register with your Microsoft Account. As far as nationality is concerned, I suggest you to check the regional settings to set the country / region you want.

    Refer to the following steps to do:

    1. Type 'region' on the start screen. Click on 'settings', and then press ENTER.
    2. Under the "Format" tab, select "English (United Kingdom).
    3. Click on 'Preferences of languages' > 'add language' and add 'your language'.
    4. One time added, select it and click "move up" to make it the first language. Close the window of the language.
    5. In the 'region' window, click on "other settings" and check if the values are the same.
    6. Click on the "location" tab and change the location of the home to "your country" and then click OK.

  • Keep the layer names when describing the text

    I would like to know if there is a way to keep the names of the objects/layers of text when the text is converted to text outline, using scripts.

    I create files with dozens of text layers (player names on the back of the jerseys of sport) and send the .ai file to manufacturers. This means that I have to expose the text, but when I do, the layers all lose their names and everything becomes "< Group >.

    Can anyone think of a way of naming these layers with the text they contain?

    Hi openbracket,.

    It is impossible, if the text is underlined.

    But it is possible for the text and the outline of the text via script (don't forget that the selected text is only filled with no effects or stroke)

    You can try something like this:

    // required: an opened document with one selected text frame
    var aDoc = app.activeDocument;
    var aSel = aDoc.selection;
    if (aSel[0].typename =="TextFrame") {
        if (aSel[0].characters.length < 40) {
        var newName = aSel[0].contents;
        } else {
        newName = aSel[0].contents.substr(0, 39);
        }
    aSel[0].createOutline();
    aSel = aDoc.selection;
    // name of the new Group = contents or part of contents of selected text frame
    aSel[0].name = newName;
    }

  • ThinkPad 560 X - How the hell do you have the CD of external work?

    I just bought a 560 X used to use a development for Windows 98 computer.

    HARD drive was empty. I am looking for the external CD (P/N 1969-010) to work.

    I installed DOS 6.22 software then Cardsoft for DOS. When I inserted the IBM IDE PC card, the system emits a signal indicating that it has recognized that a card has been inserted, but nothing else happens.

    I have tracked down a lot of files to options/install/etc on the support site but have not yet tried all the.

    Will try to install Windows 3.1 and using some install files for Cardsoft for 3.1 but I guess just at present.

    I have the impression that there should be an installation file/program for the CD itself, but did not find one that looks right.

    I just want to get the CD to work so I can install Windows 98. Then I need to be able to use the CD with Windows 98.

    Any suggestions?

    Solved by myself - after a few permutations.

    (1) installed BACK 6.22

    2)
    Using another system, I find the driver on the Lenovo site,
    files for CardSoft for DOS (pctpcdos.exe) and IBM 20 X Max Portable
    P/N 1969010 (820xnosd.exe) CD-ROM drive

    These two files are self-extracting compressed files. Execution of creates them a diskette in A:

    (3) BACK started on the Thinkpad X 560

    (4) Insert the diskette for Cardsoft created by pctpcdos.exe software.

    5)
    Install.exe Ran from the diskette. This installs BACK support for the PCMCIA
    cards. In this case, we want to use the IBM IDE PC Card used for
    connect the CD to the 560 X.

    (6) switched disks, inserted the diskette created for CD 820xnosd.exe

    7)
    Passed to A: and run install.exe - important, for some reason any
    the installation program does not run correctly unless you switch to the A:
    drive. Using A:install does not work. You do A: the current
    drive.

    (8) the CD is now available at BACK

    (9) copied all the contents of a Windows 98 installation CD into a directory named WIN98CD hard disk

    10) ran Windows Setup from the hard drive.

    11)
    After the installation is complete and has detected all new
    material, I used the point to install new hardware from the control panel
    looking for a new material that was not installed.

    (12) the CD
    has been located. I put the Setup CD disk (created in step 2 of the)
    file 820xnosd.exe) and made the installation of the driver to the A: drive.
    Windows finds the correct driver and - hop, the CD player is now
    recognized and is usable from Windows 98.

    After getting the CD
    working, I used the other drivers that I found during my search of the
    Lenovo - things like audio and video - site and install them.

    Here
    is a complete list of the files that I downloaded from the Lenovo site. They
    include various support for BACK, Win3.1, Win95 and Win98

    Note-
    the date and time are the date and time when I downloaded the files to
    my system, not the date and time of the file on the Lenovo site.

  • Reader of encrypted mail stopped asking password

    Just noticed this. I encrypted external drive, just to see how long it would take (19 hours). When I restart or start since the closure, even though I have an automatic connection set, he would ask his password to mount the drive. It is most requested. It is always encrypted according to the Finder and disk utility. It can be installed also. I am not sure when it stopped to ask the password but it may have started with the 10.11.5 update.

    Any thoughts?

    I had my external hard drive USB encrypted using FileVault for several years and I don't remember that he never asked the password when mounting the drive. I think that it is stored in Keychain Access to connection > passwords > [player name]

  • How downgrade to XP on Satellite Pro L 300

    I've read conflicting methods of downgrading to XP. This should have been in the manual
    My apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere (I could not find if it is)

    1 Vista will automatically set up when you turn on the laptop
    2. use 'create a recovery disc' for Vista just in case you want to use Vista (2 DVD discs will be made - you need to blanks 2 x 4.7 G)
    3 you can run this twice so that you have 2 copies of the 2 discs to keep in different places
    NOTE: You cannot run this after installing XP (you can NEVER can get back to VISTA without repurchase it)

    4. save drive if necessary as a HARD drive is replaced (for example. Acronis True Image)
    5. Insert the number 1 (supplied with the laptop) XP recovery disc in DVD tray
    6 turn on the computer and hold down the F12 key to go to the Toshiba start menu, then select CD/DVD
    (NOTE: starting can be done in F2 - BIOS)
    7 options box comes in replacement warning
    8. go in the pages of menus for:
    9. "restore back to the box' - If you want XP and you do not have a 3rd party disk partioner (eg. Acronis Disk Director)
    If you do not use this point ONLY - a disk partitioner (NOT the point 11).
    10. "' restore them were leaving leaves than that" - it would be if you previously partioned HDD - replaces partion 'C' "
    11. "restore with the size of the partition 'C' nominated' - use only if you have a 3rd disc part partioner
    If you use this it will separate the HARD drive into 2 partitions, 'C' and 'unallocated '. You would be divided into 2 ONLY if you have a
    disk partitioner and want to divide the HARD disk into drive 'C' (or 'C' 2 discs) for example. 40 GB for the OS and programs and in the 'G' drive for data
    It is for the backup if you need to reinstall windows on drive "C". A trick here is downloading programs save in a folder for example "EXE".
    on your data disc. If you reinstall windows, you can copy the "EXE" file to the "C" drive and launch the exe of the program is to reinstall these programs.
    You can also copy these and record separately on a disc
    NOTE: you cannot see or access the "unallocated" space, so if you select this option without a disk partitioner you are theoretically
    reduction of the size of your HARD drive. There is NO OPTION for undo/redo-this if you reinsert the disc XP then didn't make sure you have a handy disk partitioner.

    12. you will be asked to swap discs after that 1st disk has finished reading - put in disc 2
    13 switch mode normal XP - country, language, time - these can be ignored and made later but you might as well do it now
    14. Once you arrive at laptop screen XP will go in a "search for driver / stop ' loop of repetition."
    15 be patient here as it does about 3 times. It seems like it in a loop to stop but stop eventually on the XP screen
    16. If you have a disk partitioner program and you divide your HARD drive into 2 partitions install the program and go to "create new partion.
    You can select here the "unallocated partition" and change to a 'logic' (XP mode) NTFS partition for data with its own player name for example 'G '.
    You can also do things like have 2 partitions active 'C' (1 hidden) If you want to have Vista & XP on a HARD disk
    Note: Both VISTA & XP have the same key, so you can have both on the HARD drive if you take the path above (16). However, you would be
    need to do it in a different order. Let VISTA is, first use the disk partitioner to divide the HARD drive into separate partitions, hide VISTA
    and then move to the XP installation. You would then hide/UN hide to use either the OS. Probably not worth on a laptop

    You don't have to do things:

    17. do not go into the BIOS (F2) - machine will still run XP on AHCI without rationalization drivers - no need to Exchange in "COMPATIBILITY" mode
    18. do not pilots - this will be done automatically
    19. the VISTA / XP key doesn't have to be known / designated during the installation
    20. the 1.5 GB hidden on the HARD disk partition is not replaced

    Hope this will be one help to others
    Ray
