LifeCam Cinema drivers moved

LifeCam Cinema drivers settles, when installing the program asks to plug in the camera. Tried a lot of things, he can't know. Basically when he searches via windows update it always fails, then becoming known as an unknown device in Device Manager. I don't understand why it will not install the drivers. It gives me this message regarding the INF file that can be old.

My comp is a power house so no probs spec, running doesn't win vista ultimate x 64.  It's driving me crazy. It detects and knows that the name of cameras won't just install the drivers. Please help and thank you.

Thanks for your advice. I tried everything, through different boards of many threads. It installed and worked perfectly on my lap top. I bought it for my good office. Could not understand the problem, so I ended up returning. My guess was something is in conflict, digging deep, or a reformat would fix the problem. Don't bother fitness for me. Very nice camera but if it works. At almost a decent macro with its development. Thanks again.

  • Webcam LifeCam Cinema is not in the LifeCam software, but works (in low def) with other programs.

Just installed my LifeCam Cinema in the correct order (CD of the software first, then plug the webcam into a USB socket). The usual pop-ups in the status bar is displayed (new hardware found, the webcam is properly identified, "ready to use" and shows in Device Manager) and the installation tells me the installation of the drivers and software is made. Installation normally ends when I click done at the end, but never start step 3 (the camera configuration).

The camera works (not in HD) in Windows Explorer, the last Live Messenger and Skype, but NOT in the LifeCam 3.0 program. "There is no camera connected to this computer," he says, and the only option I have is to click on the help icon. There is no other error message.

I have tried to uninstall, reinstall with the LifeCam 3.0 package downloaded, restart, all the try again all other USB 2.0 ports, disconnect all other USB devices, but the LifeCam software will not find my camera. That way I don't get access to the advanced settings like the resolution and these stupid effects, I was eager to try :) :(

I have .NET installed 3.5, but only Live Messenger than essentials package. Do I need anything else to make LifeCam 3.0 find my camera?

In your case geojayhawk, I would be re - install the drivers for the LifeCam. For some reason, he must have a difficult time reading the driver INF file.

  • LifeCam Cinema - LifeCam.exe has stopped working

Just got a new webcam MS LifeCam Cinema that I ordered, but unfortunately, the software crashes.  The question is not the device itself, because I can see the video in the video settings Live Messenger window, and the test microphone also works.  However, whenever I try to run the software LifeCam itself, I get the pointer for a second, and then it crashes and I get the message "LifeCam.exe has stopped working".

I am running Vista Home Premium SP2 x 64, completely up to date with windows update.  I uninstalled the driver from the CD and it redownloaded go web site (did not work).  I checked all the posts on what I could find, the most common suggestion was to uninstall the Nero software, but I don't have any Nero software installed.  Any help to get this thing to run would be really appreciated.  I want to especially this for video recording, to get the LifeCam program to work is essential.

How many other USB devices attached to this machine?  Are you using non-powered for connection hubs?  I assume that you have already tried to connect to a different USB port on your computer?  Rear ports are better than using all the front ports on most machines (due to wiring and connections, I think).  If you change the Windows ports will really rediscover your hardware and quickly (without downloading) reinstall drivers current.

For what it's worth, it's only about a week ago when I was offered and downloaded updates via Windows updates for my LifeCam camera.  That always seems to work correctly.

  • LifeCam Cinema is not recognized at all

I just bought a new on Amazon Lifecam cinema yesterday and tried to make it work without success - the sound works, but there is no video. I tried the Lifecam Studio, Skype, and Windows Live Messenger and none of them can use webcam video (it's 'in service' even if nothing else use it). I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers & software several times, by plugging the webcam in all USB ports, that I don't have, made a clean boot, each solution on every Web page I've met has done anything for me.

  • How to operate the two cams of LifeCam Cinema web on one computer?

I would like to simultaneously run two webcams Microsoft LifeCam cinema of a single 64-bit Windows 7 computer. But I can only raise a Microsoft LifeCam instance at a time. I can do two at a time by using the sample available with Visual Studio 2010 MFCaptureD3D software, but I have to be able to control the camera, i.e. set the focus manually and select a higher resolution available. How can I accomplish this?  Is there information or code to access the device settings?

    Hello

I fear that you will not be able to exploit two webcams Lifecam Cinema on a single computer, but you can check with third-party software that might solve your problem

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Microsoft Lifecam Cinema works well with windows live messenger.

I just bought a Microsoft Lifecam Cinema, connected with my PC and installed the software 3.6. What I noticed that the quality fo the vedio going well under the lifecam software or to preview audio/vedio setting of the windows live messenger. However, the vedio quality is pretty poor, when I compose a vedio with other people using windows live messenger.

I don't know if this is related to the operating systems or not. My operating system is XP Professional, the other part is windows 7. the version of my windows live messenger is current.

    Any advice?

    Hi IanZ11,

The LifeCam software requires a card video and monitor that can run a resolution of at least 800 x 600 high color. Set the resolution of Windows display on 800 x 600 high color and then test the software.

Try the steps listed in the article below and check if that helps you.

Don't troubleshoot bad or no video or problems to start the LifeCam software
