  About Microsoft alone 1 and 2 can be remedied by coding improvements. It may be on the cards or it may not, but I do not know how to report a feature request.

  As for 3, I can help you with the simplest solution:
  In the task manager's "processes" tab, click on the button [show processes from all users]
  The above replaces the task manager of security to run as Administrator profile.
  Now, you can return to the 'Users' tab and disconnect the offending user. :)

  The sound is probably your comments because of the gain being turned upward to your audio recording device by default.  Try the same path I mentioned above and see if you can turn it off.

  a couple of days ago my machine makes an auto update as usually and things seemed good, but shortly after, I noticed that I had no sound function or a microphone of my internal devices and making helmet is also non-functional. the first thing I did was restart, no luck. I noticed that while I had the audio device manager open that I do not have access to the 'configure', 'default' and 'properties' functions under the tabs of playback and recording. After a further review I thought that maybe I had a problem of compatibility of the driver with the recent update, but I'm not really sure of what has been updated. I also thought I might have a conflict of use with an application hogging things even though I have seen no unusual activity in the Task Manager. Despite this, I disabled the 'google ok' feature in chrome and restarted. This seemed to fix that I had the sound and the microphone back, but when I started this morning I had the same problem and since I don't re - not allow 'google ok' and it does not automatically start (I checked), which doesn't seem to have actually done something after all, or there are other problems that are still not resolved.

  in any case, I'm running worm Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.6937, I'm on a wired ethernet connection, I got no error msgs and I did not any changes in software.

  FYI, I found an announcement and related solution for what seemed to be a similar problem (see post titled "speakers and microphone doesn't work DO NOT, all the devices said to work" posted on 26/02/2013 15:00), but the pilot referenced was an IDT Audio driver not a Realtek, don't know whether or not the process is the same.

  so that is where I am. any help?

  I do not work for HP, but I see a definite advantage on the subject of what you are suggesting.

  Try to perform the following procedure.

  Download Realtek HD Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  Realtek HD Audio Driver - Windows 8

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  Then, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.

  When done, shut down the laptop by holding down the key SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

  Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right click on the installer of Realtek and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  Left click "Speakers/HP" (speakers or headphones) once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  I usually go to Bluetooth in settings and try to disconnect and connect to Bluetooth.

  Before turning on Bluetooth play a song in the music player & turn on Bluetooth and connect the phone

  Just plugged the connector 4 poles on my headset combination for my mobile phone (cellular) and the box of pop - up asked me to select headset or microphone - no selection for both.

  Looks like the right sleeve is for headphones only, and the left one is for headphones or micro - selectable by the user and not the two on a single sheet.

  Everything explained by the practice - but not the paperwork in the manuals.

  #5 for microphone or headset - menu popup is displayed after you insert a 3.5 mm plug to select that one but not both at the same time.  (So I can't use my headset to phone)

  Today, tried to use the webcam and microphone for the first time, a Skype call, but none of them does not seem to work.

  Feel a little silly answering myself, but no one responded and I thought it is best to share what I found out.

  The webcam was defective, straight out of the box.

  And the microphone is connected to these features, but uses a different driver - if your microphone works, it could be a sign that your problem is with the driver for the cam.

  I bought the PC world a month ago, so there was although it is very busy.  It was the second faulty webcam in HP they had returned today - most early was a dv7.  There was no problem with replace - they took a glance, considered to be the installation of the drivers on a disc, but when it was not displayed in Device Manager and the microphone works not more, they knew right away.

  It really shows control of very poor quality of Hewlett-Packard.  It's a shame that in the first weeks, I was really happy with this model, but realistically, now I know that this is what looks like their QC, when my company needs its next piece I'll go with anything other than HP.
