  I can't get my scanner to work.  If I hit print on the printer, it looks fine, but when I try to scan to the computer it will not work.  I ran Scan diagnosis tool, comes to WIA and fails (I jump) and then becomes HP Scanner TWAIN and fails.  There is no button to fix for me and the only information he tells me is to uninstall and reinstall.  I did it at least 5 times or more, and it does not work.  I have my scanner on the wireless network, but it times out whenver I use the scan button.  My HP Scan does not work and Windows Fax and Scan says no scanner is hooked.  Any help would be greatly appreciated since I just bought this printer for the scan function.  I am amazed because she worked very well last week.  I'm running on Windows 7 (64-bit). Thank you.

  That article and the instructions are for a different printer and software. You should see 'Manage Scan to Computer' under the 'Actions of Scaner. If you get an error or messages let me know. I noticed you did another post where you mention Windows 7 which is your operating system?

  1. I tried to install the printer software for the Deskjet 3050 all-in-in-one J610a on a Dell E6530 with Microsoft Windows 7 Professional computer.

  9. If I install ' HPSupportSolutionsFramework - 12.3.11.29.exe' it installs, but does nothing. It's probably not running and no instructions on how to do work.
  Update: it is actually a service running in the Microsoft Windows services such as 'HPSupportSolutionsFrameworkService '.
  The executable file is located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\HP Support Solutions\HPSupportSolutionsFrameworkService.exe

  The disk check showed the file "oem115.inf" was indeed installed in the directory "c:\windows\inf\".

  During troubleshooting earlier, I already copied the file
  HPScanMiniDrv_DJ3050_J610.dll
  Located on the HP installation CD
  in the folder
  c:\Windows\System32\
  and also to
  C:\Windows\SysWOW64\

  I then run the steps here:

  Before using the wizard, connect your scanner or camera and turn it on.
  If Windows detects the device and installs the correct driver, you're all set. There is no need to run the wizard.
  To start the scanner and Camera Installation Wizard
  Open the wizard scanners and cameras by clicking on the
  Start button, then click Control Panel.
  In the search box, type scanners and cameras and then click Scanners and cameras.
  Leave administrator needed if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation,
  type the password or provide confirmation.
  I can't find that on Microsoft Windows 7, but clicked on the button 'add a device '.
  This shows the scanners currently present on the system.
  If it is present, double-click it.
  Microsoft Windows will be found the driver for you.

  But he could not find a scanner or install the scanner driver.
  So not solved.

  18 - of the current workarounds:

  a. - possibly try some of the steps above which may take for example, the printer and scanner driver to the right place.
  Then connect a USB, Microsoft Windows should detect the printer / scanner
  and install the drivers.

  But printing should work wireless.

  Disadvantage:

  To analyze you will need to connect using a USB cable and the scanning doesn't work so not wireless.

  b. - buy or use Hamrick VueScan. It installs its own drivers to scan.
  But it is not free software. But it works by scanning wireless also.

  Question: If you have the best solution or workaround solutions, for example to activate
  scan wireless too, please let me know.

  It is a great place to get help! I read your post and see that you receive an error when trying to install the software to print, but you have finally managed to install the printer by a USB connection. When you use the printer as a wireless connection, you are not able to scan. Please provide all the detailed steps that you have already tried. I want to help you solve this problem.

• Scanner will not connect to my printer HP deskjet 3050

  I recently bought a printer HP Deskjet 3050 all-in-One series, scanner copier J611 a.  My operating system is Vista 64.  I received the error message is "Scanner not connected to the computer."  Everything worked, and then all of a sudden the scanner no longer works (print and copy of the works).  I tried to use the printing HP and Dr. Scan to try to solve the problems, but it did not help.  I also tried other solutions I found on the HP site.  Finally, I just uninstalled and reinstalled.  It did not help.  I can still print and copy but will not scan.  I need the scanner, more than anything I have an another printer/copier HP that I can use.

  I tried to analyze using the Wi - Fi connection but couldn't. I have not tried to use MS Paint. I saw in another thread, the proposition that, using a key USB cable might work and I tried it and it worked. It's a little embarrassing, but the key is that I can scan now. Thank you very much.

  Initially, I had the problem where the scanner was scanning it simply part of the page (mentioned and resolved in another thread here). However, my problem has now passed...

  I have temporarily the digitization of the images properly through applications and clicking on the icon Scan 3 and direct analysis of this. However, now even if it does not work and the scanner is not communicating with my Mac OS x 10.6.8 - I can't even it to scan from the Control Panel on the product. The printer works fine - but I do not have the printer checked acutally since doing the following:

  I uninstalled the software and reinstalled. I checked the updates and it indicates that I have updated software, but when I click on the HP utility, I get the following error msg:

These components will not be loaded and some features related to your device won't be available. Please click on item to Support HP on the toolbar to visit the HP Support site online and download the latest versions of the HP software.

  I did it but I get the msg that my software is up to date. So what now?

  I noticed that there are 2 scan icons in the Applications folder and one of them does not record the product at all when you click it. The icon Scan 3 used to work, but now just perpetually tries to open a connection with the printer and cannot, when I try to cancel it, then goes into perpetual cancellation mode and the only way I can stop it is to force out.

  Any suggestions on how to fix before I throw my new HP 3050 has out of the balcony

  1 open the HP utility and select your device.
  2. based on Scan Settings open the "Scan to computer".
  3. click on the tab "scan tasks.
  4. Select the shortcut Scan allows to analyze, and then click modify.
  5. in the section of scanning from an HP device, click the blue triangle to expand the menu.
  6. in the expanded menu now, open the drop-down list next to Cultures to and set as none.
  7. click OK and try to scan.

  I have a HP Deskjet 3050 J610a printer that is listed as being capable on the list of HP AirPrint compatible printers and ePrint.

  However, I can't a Web Services tab at all when you access either the printer via its IP address or in the printer menu.

  I can't find an update of the firmware on the support of the printer section and have had no response from HP email warranty covered. Can someone help get this job, I can print wireless easily from the main engine, it was installed on, but can't see the printer and any apps ePrint AirPrint apps.   I saw your post about how you noticed the entry for a "Test of the Scanner Glass" on the State printer however, not found information on the glass of the scanner Test in the user manual. The reason is that the Test of the Scanner glass is used by our service departments and you don't need to worry at all with a glass of the Scanner test. If the copies are to work successfully, the printer itself is fine!
