M17x R4 killer wireless

I have problems with my wifi, getting lag spikes while playing (every 2 to 10 minutes) due to packet loss.
It is NOT a connection problem... I can play smoothly via ethernet or using the WiFi on other devices.
Any suggestion in addition to updating the drivers?

Simple to solve the problem.
You just need to upgrade/downgrade your version of BIOS to A12.

And any problems will disappear

  • Only intermittent problem with wifi on alienware m17x with qualcomm wireless killer

Hi, I have an alienware M17x with windows 8.1 and qualcomm wireless killer. I have a serious problem with intermittent wifi, that appears when I use programs like Skype, steam, multiplayer games, etc.

Even if the wifi is connected, the connection suddenly stops working sometimes, especially when I use the applications mentioned above. (if I try to load a Web page during this time, the page remains attached to "resolving host"). Strange thing is if I disconnect and reconnect to the wifi Internet starts working immediately. Or I can wait a few minutes and the connection is re-established automatically. This isn't a problem with the network, because I had this problem on countless wifi networks I've worked, and all my other devices work fine in the same time, that my laptop no longer works.

Additionally, this problem occurs only on wifi, if I use a connection cable, this never happens. (this is not yet a case of the wifi signal strength, as happens even when I am sitting right next to wifi router and wifi in the notification area icon is visible full signal).

In the last months, I tried various possible solutions, but none of them have solved this problem:

    -Updated to 8.1 windows

-Update of the qualcomm network drivers

-Stop of various applications that I think might have been the origin of the problem

    -Uninstall completely different applications

    -Close all anti-virus programs

Still after all of these steps, the problem persists. It would not be a big problem, as the loss of connectivity is not permanent, but what makes multiplayer games completely unplayable on my alienware machine. :(

Just today I tried to launch AlienAutopsy test for my network card in Killer Wireless - N 1103 several times, and each time that the "transfer of data verification test" failed due to no connectivity (all other tests passed very well, only this one test failure all 6 times). I thought that it could be linked and gave me some hope that I might be able to target the cause of this unique problem. Therefore, I post here. If anyone can help me, it would be much appreciated!

  • Fall Alienware M17 Killer Wireless N1202 Connection

Hey guys and girls, I'm here to ask about a problem that I've seen a LOT of people have with this laptop / particular wireless card. I recently bought the M17 and the only problem I had with it is the card Killer Wireless N1202 give up my connection randomly and reconnects.
I have "business" with him for a few days now, but the drops random during the time of the browser, videos, and games really starts to break my nerves.

So far, I checked the firmware and etc is updated in my laptop. Tried to disable the Killer Wireless Manager. A flick of some power in the performance options. Nothing seems to work.
Anyone has a final o the problem solution?
    Thank you!

so I think that the thing most important to do is to go into Device Manager, right click in the wireless card and choose uninstall.

    Reset.

Windows will see it and reinstall it. It should work now. Give it a shot.

If you use the Killer-N driver probably doesn't really matter.

  • Disables the killer wireless 1535 under heavy load

I just received a brand new 15 R2 in the mail a few days ago and have had any other problems with the wireless. It works very well under normal load IE internet browsing or streaming videos. When I try to download a game on steam or push the signal degrades slowly until the wireless card turns off. Then, you cannot activate the card via the hardware switch or click with the right button to enable. Any ideas? See the reference video.

    cs_setInnerHtml ('video_5eed075f-5174-43dd-b4cf-997c702184ea', ");

I uninstalled all the software/drivers killer, deleted the drivers and reinstalled the drivers Slayers of the killer and dell Web site.

Alienware has finally got resolution. They came and replaced the 1535 with an Intel AC 8260 killer. I'm going on two days with zero problems and more than 100 GB downloaded on my 5 GHz network to nearly 15 MB/s, which is what my internet caps to. Kudos to Alienware to send to the Intel card the next day. There he sent Tuesday of this week and the technician was home Wednesday afternoon. So far so good. I hope that Killer will solve questions 1535 a Windows 10 and 5 GHz, but unfortunately with imminent deployment, I have not time to wait for her.

  • * KILLER Wireless 1535 disconnection from the wifi

I have a new Windows AW15R2 10 Pro, everything worked fine during the first week.  I downloaded my games on Steam on my laptop (big 5 GHz speeds AC).  Since the last game I downloaded, I installed a wireless Xbox One adapter / controller and now my wireless guard fall.  I uninstalled the drivers for the Microsoft controller and always the same question.

The wireless card downloads to approximately 20.0 MB/s for 30 seconds, then drops to 0 MB/s, I get a yellow exclamation mark on the icon turns off wireless and light up again.

Please give advice on this issue.

    Thank you!

Never had any problems with wifi killer.

Have you tried to update the wifi and the Bluetooth driver from the site Web of Qualcom?

    www.killernetworking.com/.../Driver-downloads

Alternatively, you can try to disable wifi automatic energy saving mode.

Open Device Manager, and then right click on your wifi card, then select power management, then uncheck the box that says "turn off this device to save power".

  • New WLan for Satellite L500-01u012 card

The wifi card is dead in my toshiba satellite earlier this week, its out of warranty and toshiba shop wants $200 to replace it with a 2.4 ghz standard card.

I'm looking to upgrade to a card capable of 5 GHz in all cases.
I found a card that looks good. http://www.bigfootnetworks.com/killer-wireless-n-1103/
I wonder if my laptop will support it?

The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L500-o1u012 and the old card was Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC card mini pcie half size.

    The description says:

+ Killer 1103 Wireless-N adapters are supported by two bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), 3-Stream MIMO and IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n standards-based in a mini-PCIe half size format. +

So it s a mini-PCI card and in my opinion, the local network card device must be compatible theoretically

    Hello

The new HP laptop is no longer the white list. However, computers laptop AMD based work well with Intel wireless cards. I would go for the Broadcom one.

    1: no idea, probably a chip of 1 x 1

2: Yes, half mini PCIe are compatible

3: Intel probably yes, Broadcom I do not

4: use google and 'Killer Wireless'

5: probably not. I see some old envy Dv6-7000 with processors Intel Ivy Bridge. Certainly better than this model 7260AC and the support of AMD as my laptop of the signature.

    -AGN Broadcom 4322

My question is if it can also work with the latest maps:

    -Intel Advanced-N 6235 ANHMW (this is similar to Ultimate - N 633 ANHMW Intel but it's 2 x 2 instead of 3 x 3)

    -Killer Wireless-N 1103 (3 x 3)

Yes, I know it's a combo, and I thought that somehow I can disable (or delete?) Internal bluetooth module and thus to keep the combo for two features (WiFi + Bluetooth). I guess that's not possible, right?
Now one more question: if I buy the Intel Advanced - N 622 ANHMW (2 x 2), do you think I'm having problems with my BIOS recognize it? I read several posts on the Internet where people say I might be needing a BIOS whitelist "tuned". Is this case for this card as well?

    Thank you
    Ioannis

6235 Intel won't do anything because of the whitelist. However, some BIOS (like mine with Ultimate - N 6300 works well) can be modded, but it is not recommended. The Intel Advanced - N 6200 is a large map and I got until I installed an Intel 6300. You don't have to risk bricking your laptop if a good upgrade is available (6200). • WRT1900AC 5 GHz speed internet a drop to zero during a short period

    Hello

Could you please help me with this question. I ' v had the router for a few weeks and only reviews the issue when I download large files, the drops of speed to zero and I momentarely loses internet connection, only so that it can be restored shortly after. It continues to go like that in the waves. (There is no disconnect/reconnect the router).

It only happens when I use 5 GHz. There is not such a problem with 2.4 ghz

I tried all the different parameters (from mixed 802. 11A & n and a/d) and the widths of different channels. Firmware is updated through automatic update.

There are no other networks of 5 GHz around me.

My other PC is connected via a cable and have no issues.

My wireless card is killer Wireless - n 1202

With the help of windows 8.

    Thank you

I suggest to disable the automatic update, it's a bad idea. Then since there are already old, you can do a factory reset and the config from scratch. Which has been shown to solve a lot of weird problems.

    Hello.

You have killer Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth.

Open the control panel and uninstall the wifi killer and killer drivers Ethernet Dell.

Let your killer driver installed Bluetooth.

Install these drivers updated directly from the site of killer.

    www.killernetworking.com/.../Driver-downloads

You need Driver Killer for E2200, E2400 and Killer Wireless.

Once you have installed the new driver and restarted the computer, open the Device Manager.

Right click on your WiFi card and open the properties.

Along the upper part of the window, you will see a tab called 'Power Management' click this tab and then UNCHECK the box that says "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

Click OK and close popup windows.

I hope this will fix you problem.

  • Computer laptop Alienware 17 would not start

    Hello

I had this problem twice now. I was on my laptop and it should work fine ALL day and then I would stop for the night. When I wake up and try to turn on, it would do nothing for most, but sometimes he would light up for about a second or two and goes off. Both times I solved this in re-allocation of places the battery CMOS/button. Although I have solved this problem on my own, it is still VERY upsetting. Why the * does this continue to happen?

The first time it happened, I had just installed the latest version of the BIOS and rebooted and it worked 100%. Is that I turned it off for the night and it did not work the next morning. I followed the instructions on how to install the latest BIOS very closely and I did twice previously without a problem at all!

The second time it had happened was yesterday when I had just updated the card Wifi and a few other minor drivers through Device Manager. While I was still with my laptop, he turned to a BSOD - DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. When he did this, the speakers just makes a constant humming ceased after it began to restart. All I did was watch YouTube when this happened. And when he was trying to restart it froze on the Alienware logo. I waited about 15 minutes hoping it would move along, but he did not. I pressed the power button until it is turned off and then tried to restart it without success.

This morning, I completely disassembled to remove the main battery and the battery CMOS/button.

WHAT HAS CAUSED THIS? It seems to be whenever I update the drivers. I always update from the Dell website on the page where I get my serial number under "Drivers and downloads", or through the Device Manager. What is a bad piece of hardware? Software conflict? Please, please help me this end for good.

  • Rosetta Stone total v4 works with no error message.

Original post: Rosetta Stone total v4

I recently installed Rosetta Stone total on my 64 bit Windows 7 computer.  Until very recently, it worked fine.  Now when I open the program, it instantly does with no other error given.  I reinstalled the drive and downloaded the software directly from Rosetta Stone.

I downloaded the update and checked the compatibility.
    As I say, it worked.

Thanks a lot for your help.

We discovered the problem at the origin of this problem.  Rosetta Stone is in conflict with the application of the technology of Bigfoot Killer wireless.  Essentially, Killer drivers updated more quickly that the Rosetta Stone could keep track of and they are working on a fix to ensure this does not happen.
If bring you your drivers at 6.1.0.179, or before, the Rosetta stone works perfectly.  These can be found on the website of Bigfoot.  It does work on the latest current drivers 6.1.0.219.  Rosetta Stone did not specify if the fix would come from an update of their software or if they ask Bigfoot to update their drivers but they work.
I don't know if it is possible to make this thread a known solution, but apparently anyone with a Killer wireless network will have this issue until the Rosetta Stone have settled it.
    Thank you very much

    1. disconnect the phone line to the back of the SMC

    2. restart the SMC by pulling the power plug momentarily.

    3. follow the instructions above.

    4. When you are finished, plug the phone into the line and raise the MSC.
