Make my own "Factory Restore"

Assuming that I first create a backup of the original, is it possible that I can crush the contents of the restoration of the Facotry provided with a PC with a customized version of my own making? For example, a version that includes the operating system and software such as Word and Excel, so that I don't have to reinstall them after I perfom a factory since the recovery partition restore.

I have a backup solution and recovery data of interest going, but it would be useful that I could restore the PC and its software in a fixed state of my own choice in the system, using the rather than having to re the image of an external device. on the one hand it would be faster not to have to copy several gigs worth of OS and applications down to a USB cable for my caddy to external Imaging.

Friday, April 8, 2011, I tried to do a 'Compaq 'full restore factory' "on my XP Media Center computer.

I tried to get SP3 for a SINGLE COMPUTER, as you explained in this article, (Article 322389 ID) by turning "updates automatic." One hundred updates "downloaded". Up to BUT NOT including SP3!

I think it's because he "worked" from the former "windows update site," not update.microsoft.com, telling me that I needed SP3 on my computer to go!

That's why I didn't see no choice but to download the stand-alone "SP3 for the professionals. In addition to the extra time much this added, it seemed to "wipe out" much of what was already on the computer.

Since the installation of the SP3 do not destroy anything, please explain what you mean by that.
    > 1. Is it still possible now to get the most appropriate for an SP3 computer?
It has been my experience that this autonomous particular drop (WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3 - x 86 - ENU.exe) is the best to use. However, there is a good way to install, making sure Internet Explorer is still at the level of IE6 and no program of security antivirus or other is running at the time of installation. If you need step-by-step instructions, let me know.
    > 2. How long the owner of a working XP computer will be able to do a 'factory restore' on his computer and then return all the updates?
    Until April 2014.
When you have restored your Compaq to its original state, do you also all 'trialware' like Norton or McAfee programs?
Also know that some Compaqs and HPs (those who have AMD CPUs) must be changed before installing SP3. For more information:
  • HP 2350eo p6: I can't understand how successfully do a factory restore on my win 8-> computer 8.1

I tried to do a factory restore, and it just doesn't work. I can't start to the top of the recovery screen.
I tried restarting and pressing F11. Because Windows is not normally start, he's clearly trying to do what I want it to, but it does not work. I tried once to leave it for an hour and everything I've seen on a black screen. I also tried to boot via the Recovery Manager. I tried to create a USB stick recovery. First of all, I created the USB through recovery manager. Then I rebooted and held of the ESC. Then, I started the USB key. Nothing happened.

When I turned off the computer and started it again, as long as I don't push any button, windows would start as normal, up to this point.

Given that HP tools could not solve the problem, I tried to restore through the windows, the standard method, I suppose, by selecting Properties on the right sidebar. Computer properties, then update/restore, restore, remove and install windows. When I tried, the computer restarted and I got a black screen again, but now, I can not even start Windows more. He answers when I press ESC while booting, but I can not to initiate anything.

I just wanted to make a simple factory restore and now my computer is dead. Where should I go from here?

My computer is a HP Pavilion 2350eo with Windows 8.1 p6, it was packed with 8 victory, but a few months after asking me about upgrading a few times, somehow forced the update windows update. My hard drive is almost full at the time, so I don't know if my problem is related to a bad 8.1 Win install. It seems very pulled by the hair.

    I was able to understand.

I pressed ESC while booting. So, rather than starting the real usb, I chose run Application Uefi, and then I was able to browse the actual usb (which I did before) and select an individual file to run. I do not know which file I got, but I was able to run one of the files, that triggered the factory reset.

So my problem seems similar to when you enter a CD in windows, and it's not autorun.

  • Can I update the image of factory restore?

    Hi all

I recently had the pleasure to make a 'factory restore' on a M100 and an A300.

While the process went smoothly (even if the A300 recovery disk creator should not be put back first to make it work), data that has been restored were, of course, obsolete because he didn't understand not updates either the operating system (Vista Home Basic) or to one of the Toshiba Software (including drivers and tools utility).

I know that you can return the system to Toshiba for a new image of the HARD drive by them (at great cost), but I don't know if that provides a picture of 'update' or if she simply replaces the original image (obsolete).

Is it possible the 'factory restore' image stored on the recovery partition can be updated and a user, or a technician of the 'non-Toshiba"without having recourse to external software such as Acronis?

Thanks in advance for all advice offered.

    Hey Buddy,

No, you can update the image of factory restore t. Settings (Windows, driver, etc.) are stored in an image that can t be changed or updated because these settings are pre-tested on your laptop computer and any change would be not compatible. In addition, I think that Windows updates are made with two or three clicks, you need just to a good internet connection. Alternative, you install Microsoft's latest Service Pack which contains many important updates ;)

By the way: I made my own image using Acronis image. After the installation of recovery disk Toshiba I removed all applications that I n t need (ConfigFree for example), installed the Windows updates and my other apps that I need (Skype, Office, etc.). After that, I tested the laptop a bit and finally and especially that I created an image with Acronis. So I can restore my own settings every time too. ;)

    Hello

For me, there is a clear situation you need to order the new recovery media by the nearest authorized service provider.
But you have another way to get own laptop preinstalled, use CD original Microsoft facilities. All the drivers, tools and utilities, you can find and download from Toshiba support site.

  • Problems with the 64-bit on Pavilion a6620f Vista Factory restore

I had a hard drive failure and restoration on a new hard drive. The original HD is a 500 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 model ST 3500620AS. The new HD is a 500 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200 model ST 3500641AS - RK. I bought a set of restore for this HP computer disks.

First problem was that disk 1 does not start from the internal CD/DVD drive. My Seagate drive boots fine on the same drive! I used an external USB CD/DVD drive and restore disks worked well on that. I went through the process of factory restore and in the end, I get an error message "installing Windows could not configure Windows to run on this computer hardware." I tried to change the BIOS setting from ACHI and IDE to SATA RAID with no luck. I tried to unplug the USB CD drive before the first reboot. That no longer works.  I unplugged the internal CD drive and tried different combinations with no luck. Need help I have run out of things to try! Does anyone have any ideas/thoughts?

    Hello:

I don't know how you can get your recovery discs to work.

Looks like you have tried everything.

I had problems with mine too and got the same error on a HP Elite 8200 desktop computer business

It was the first time I've ever had a problem with recovery disks.  It's very frustrating.

I have a workaround if all goes well, you can use to get Vista on your PC...

If you can read your 25-character product key MS, you can make your own Windows Vista installation disc. You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

I tested both of them (just before going forward with the actual facility) and they seem to work perfectly.

Apparently, when you enter the product key, he knows which version of Vista you have.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/software-OS/w/microsoft_os/3317.2-3-Microsoft-Windows-VI...

After you have successfully installed vista, you can download the drivers you need your PC support and driver page.

  • Dell Mini 10 1018 Factory Restore - user does not know how to use the Dell utility

I was running a starter edition of Windows 7 and decided to go with a picture own factory before moving on to Windows 10. My mistake was thinking that recovery Dell utility would work.

I created a restore 8G USB key using the included Dell utility. I reboot from the USB and restore to factory. He gets the part of the way through and then seems to get confused, re - access scripts folder TAL and stuck in a reboot loop.

    Help!

Update - Yes, it's a problem to the user. I did not notice the cleaning Sysprep prompt shortly after the resumption. If it is not allowed to run, Sysprep never ends. I have not seen documentation on this, but in my last attempt, I must have selected the appropriate parameters for the cleaning of Sysprep to get off the machine and let Windows finish the installation.

    Mduh9,

Glad that you solved it all. Eventhough, 10 Windows can install on your computer and load default drivers. Dell has not any Windows 10 drivers for the mini and did not check Windows 10 for this computer. Make sure that you back up your data before installing Windows 10 in case it does not work.

  • Unable to sign on my MOTOBLUR account after the factory restore

After seeing that I wasn't getting updated and no could not remove all the accounts on my CLIQ, I did a factory restore and tried to sign in with my existing MOTOBLUR account. An error message pops up saying that the session has expired or the password is incorrect.

The password cannot be wrong, because I can access my account online. The message appears whenever I'm trying to connect. I use only a wifi connection.
    What should I do?

To sign in blur, you will need to use 3G or wifi. You said you use wifi, make sure that the wifi icon is on the notification bar. If this is not the case, press menu and you can set it here when you register in blur of installation. If you still can not sign trying to join a 3G area, and then try again. The time-out error is saying that you don't send fast enough information on the server of blur. Password error appears but is not always the problem. If you arrive at sign always used the password and then follow the instructions to reset, then try again. Make sure that you use an e-mail address that you will be able to receive mail from.

  • How to: perform a Vista Factory restore

Original title: need to do a factory restore Vista but don't know how, I know how to do a system restore, but our computer has been hacked and want to return to the basics on this subject.

Need to do a factory restore Vista but don't know how, cos our computer has been hacked. I know how to do a system restore, but not a factory one. I need to put the computer back to the sources.

    Hello

Here are the different ways to reinstall vista

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

    Hello Pushedincorners,

Thank you for your message.  Unfortunately, you will need to contact your system manufacturer for instructions to correctly restore your computer to the factory settings.  This process is different from system to system manufacturer manufacturer and each has their own way of doing things.

    Hi papreps,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

As the posts above mention, the problem comes from your drivers.  Crashes BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) are usually caused by bad drivers (manufacturer code) and incorrectly blamed on the operating system. Make sure you have the latest chipset drivers installed with the latest version of the BIOS.

I suggest you to download and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer's Web site.

Try the procedure described in the following Microsoft Help article.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/resolving-stop-blue-screen-errors-in-Windows-7

, Note 1: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive, while the bad sectors can be refunded but there may be loss of data.

Note 2: Data or files that are infected by malware could be beyond cleaning and must be completely deleted to preserve the integrity of your system, which means that there could be a risk of data loss.

Keep us posted on the State of the question, we will be happy to help you.

You can not. A factory restore, as the name suggests, will render you your machine for the condition, that it is in when it left the factory. It will be like new.
