MAP of RAP in mesh topology Bridging

I have a 1242 put up as a RAP and I have 3 remote 1242 cards I want maps to always plug directly on the RAP is there a way I can influence it?

Hi, since the AWPP is responsible for the election of way there is no way to set up a child - Parent pair. The calculation is based on the "facility", meaning RSSI and certain thresholds. Ensure a good Site Survey. Concerning

  • RAP with the wireless client

    Hello!

    I would like to know that a wireless client can associate with the RAP (roof MESH AP). And can the work of the map as a bridge of the Working Group?

    Thank you.

    The great thing about WCS and the location is that you can trace your APs Mesh on a map outdoors and you can visually see the path of the APs Mesh to RAP. Regarding the books from a customer point of view, yet it works just like any other Access Point.

    The problem however is that, with respect to the normal outdoor mesh, access points are further from each other and the customer as in most of the Interior solutions, so location accuracy is somewhat done.

    I doubt you'd be able to say less than 30 feet exactly when a client is located, but if you had a perimeter that you wanted to locate individuals to breast, I don't think that you will have problems.

  • Mesh of Trunking

    I recently inherited a network of mesh of all 6 PA campus and 14 cards. We have 4 switches remote, met through cards. As-is, the network works, but there are things that we would like to clean and sustainable on the local network.

    In their current state, most of the remote switches use only 1 VLAN. We would like to separate the traffic as we do in the rest of the network. I had questions, get the circuits over-the-air implemented. As many have said, the Cisco documentation is very confusing. I got a glimpse of Scott powerpoint, but I still have problems of implementation. This is a part of the sample of what we have and what we're trying to accomplish. (All the management interfaces are in VLAN 95)

    Current state:

    [CORE]-> [SWITCH-NATIVE95]-> [RAP (normal Interface)] ~ ~ ~ [map-(Interface normal)]-> [REM-SWITCH-NATIVE95]

    In this State, anything in VLAN 95 connects to the rest of the network, but nothing outside of VLAN 95 does not. If I flip to the trunk, with a map interface VLAN 95 native, I can ping everything in other virtual local networks, but lose connectivity to the switch.

    That's what I've tried today, with 95 and my other VLAN as VLAN allowed (on the switch and the map):

    [CORE]-> [SWITCH-NATIVE999]-> [RAP (Normal Interface)] ~ ~ ~ [MAP-(Trunk-Native999)]-> [REM-SWITCH-NATIVE999]

    This also resulted in no connectivity to the switch. I also noticed that the cards which normally will connect to this RAP all chose to also connect.

    I read that the interfaces of the RAPs should always be set to normal and you will get a warning when you try to set it on the trunk. I tried to put it in the trunk and had no warning, so I tried this:

    [CORE]-> [SWITCH-NATIVE999]-> [RAP(Trunk-Native999)] ~ ~ ~ [MAP-(Trunk-Native999)]-> [REM-SWITCH-NATIVE999]

    I got the same result as with the entire interface to normal. Also could not get map of reliably connect to the RAP even to do a controlled test.

    Issues related to the:

    What I am doing wrong? How the interfaces must be paid to the live trunk?

    I have been comforted in [REM-SWITCH] and didn't get all messages misconfig VLAN, but I noticed the RAP up and down intermittently through NCS. SpanningTree would be a problem?

    The AP management interface must be in the VLAN native?

    Is it possible to force a card to connect to a RAP in particular?

    (Access points in cisco AIR-CAP1552I, WLC-5508 worm 7.2.111.3)

    Ok.. So after RAP and put perfectly using map:

    > RAP and map should be in the same vlan and should not be in the vlan 1.

    > Favorite parent command allows you to make the card to join a particular RAP or use different BGN.

    It will behave like this on 7.2:

    # With Vlan active transparent:

    RAP and switch ports configured exactly the same card.

    No configuration is necessary on the map and the RAP.

    Only the VLANs native will be able to communicate through the RAP switch and card. 7.2 code tags vlan are stripped and only traffic VLAN native was able to communicate through the. So if vlan 262 is the vlan native and vlan 20 and 30 are allowed VLANs on the Switchport RAP switchport and the card, then only vlan 262 will be able to communicate through the stitch.

    https://Tools.Cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/ CSCub63054

    In 7.0 and 7.5, it has started to behave properly. So here with Vlan enabled transparent, RAP and card switchport configured correctly and in the same way, all the VLANS including vlan native will be filled in full transparency.

    ##With vlan disabled Tranparent i.e tagging vlan enabled:

    RAP and card switchport configured the same way.

    CARD interface configured the same way IE with even native and allowed VLAN. GUI > AP > mesh > Gigabit 0

    RAP - no configuration required: automatic using save vlan

    With this configuration in place, all the VLANS allowed will be able to communicate through the bridge. Do not share of vlan native on bridge design to avoid loops.

  • Topology for the beginning RV082 VPN connection

    I have 4 RV082 routers, 1 at HQ and 1 in each of the 3 branches. (See attachment Diag.pdf Net). I have set up the VPN to each of the branches at HQ and I can access the subnet of HQ. However, I have to access from one branch to another.

    Is there a way to define a static route on router HQ or do I need to set up a private network virtual from one branch to another branch, as a mesh topology?

    Thank you

    Hi David, additional VPN tunnels will do, as a mesh. The configuration of the VPN tunnel is logical, you specify the subnets that are specifically on the creation of each tunnel.

  • ASA VPN Site to site: mesh DMVPN or full?

    Hi all

    I'm a new man in the cisco environment, please help me

    Currently I am working on a project that requires to set up the VPN for security at the site of mutiple with diffirent ISP (no decided static or dynamic IP yet)

    I can also ask router Cisco for L3 routing devices and ASA appliance

    My goal is: all sites can communicate with each other.

    Now I am considering all DMVPN or Full mesh topology

    If you guys please answer my questions:

    1. static IP from ISP is straight? Can I use a dynamic IP? (I know ASA have a kind of dynamic - static VPN)

    2 DMVPN:

    + ASA can't, but I've heard that, somehow, ASA can config like speaks of talking about VPN. Is - this match my target?

    + Please refer me documents to set it up if you have

    3 - full mesh VPN:

    + How to set up, am I have to config VPN L2L each of the sites for the rest?

    4 - DMVPN vs Full Mesh - what is the best? which is less config work, less administration tasks?

    5 - the last of them: Please consult me the device necessary for my target

    Thanks to you all!

    You are right that an ASA will not support DMVPN. It should be that configure you individual VPN LAN-to-LAN tunnels at each site (total n x (n - 1) tunnels).

    FlexVPN with ISR G2 routers would be the least amount of configuration work and more flexible setting for your requirements. It has the advantages of EZVPN and DMVPN together.

    There are a number of examples of configuration of FlexVPN here.

  • R60 hard drive interface

    Hello

    I would like to buy Solid State Drive and Ultrabay Slim adapter for my ThinkPad R60 (9456-HTG) then install SSD as internal hard drive, while my original hard drive would be in housing ultrabay (internal SSD for the system and hard drive in the ultrabay for use from time to time slot). However, I doubt what kind of SSD should I buy? I mean what kind of interface? In other words, what hard disk interface is compatible with TP R60? Serial - ATA (SATA/150) I or Paralel ATA? According to the information on the Lenovo Web page it is SATA (which probably means SATA I). According to the information on the original web page of the manufacturer of the hard drive, it could be SATA I (SATA/150) or Ultra ATA/133 as it is written to the standard ATA/ATAPI-7. According to Ultrabay Slim adapterinformation, which must be compatible with my laptop, the Web ThinkWiki page: 'the map contains a PATA to SATA bridge piece, which means that the drive is SATA, it connects as a PATA (IDE) device', then perhaps also the internal drive has PATA-133 Interface? So, to make the story short, what type of interface is used for a hard drive in TP R60? Anyone know the final answer?

    Concerning

    Eryk

    The system hard drive is SATA. Optical drive [which you intend to replace the Ultrabay adapter] is PATA/IDE.

    Lecter says:

    'The map contains a PATA to SATA bridge piece, which means that the drive is SATA, it connects as a device PATA (IDE)'

    This means that the adapter Ultrabay [for use a second hard drive] must convert the SATA hard drive [old drive system hard] for use with the PATA/IDE controller. Where the word "adapter".

  • Isolated networks

    I don't know if this is possible or not, but I have 2 network cards in my PC.  The one I use for workstation network standard.  I have another that I want to connect to a completely private network where I do want my VMs for access.  Is it possible to put things where the host (Win 7) ignores this network completely and only the virtual machines have the ability to use it?  And vice versa?

    This can be achieved by configuring the VMnets in the virtual network editor correctly. For the default Bridged (VMnet0) network has put the NETWORK card that is used to map 'public '. Create a second bridged network (e.g. VMnet2), then select the 'private' for her NETWORK card. Once done open the networking properties windows and turn off all protocols, except for 'VMware Bridge Protocol' for the 'private' NIC.

    Well, I'm bored...

    This 'game' has a hand of five cards. You can dial from a bridge by hand and then play (or throw) a map by double-clicking on it.

    The model includes a map of class, a class of bridge and a GameModel class. The last of them following hand and bridge and the relationship between them. Card and bridge have been written from my memory to read an example of Enums by Josh Bloch.

    The CardController is the controller for a CardView. It takes a reference to a map and its initialize method initializes the view to view (the view is just a simple label).

    CardController.java

    package cardgame;

    import javafx.fxml.FXML;
    import javafx.scene.control.Label;

    public class CardController {
         private final Card card;

         @FXML
         private Label label;

         public CardController(Card card) {
              this.card = card;
         }

         public void initialize() {
              label.setText(String.format("%s%nof%n%s", card.getRank(),
                        card.getSuit()));
         }

    }

    The HandController is the controller for the display of the hand. This is where most of the action happens. The trick here is that it requires a reference to a GameModel, which must be injected somewhere, we need a setModel method (...), or something similar. I didn't assume the order of events: that is, the model is injected before or after calling the initialize() method. To keep this flexibility, I used an ObjectProperty to encapsulate the model and listen to changes. When the model is updated, I register a listener with the hand (exposed by the model). This listener rebuilt in turn views of cards when the hand is changed. Also, there is a 'deal' button, the disabled state is managed by binding to a property in the model (using a tip of the link class to allow the value of the dynamic model).

  • converted in adapter network lost 2 Server esxi Server

    I have a couple of servers that were on esxi 3.5. I had to convert them to vmware server 2 and now the network cards are gone. In devices, under map network, connected to the network bridged on server is grayed out. I tried to remove and re-add the adapter as well as for changing of bridged to the host.

    You need to resolve dependencies as tools needs to be recompiled. The kernel-source (headers) and gcc are required.

  • changing a material on a 3d object

    Hi all

    So here's my question. I have an object 3ds containing several meshes. Some of these STS have the same material applied to them, black. I want to try to change the material for one of these STS (to add a texture or something else) but if I do that then changes texture for all the cracks that are associated with this same material. So my question is how to do that each mesh has it's own separate material so I can modify it individually? I tried to rename the material for a mesh, but then, it changes for all. Was also looking for an option to add new material to this mesh that I want to change, and I can't find this option, etc..

    So let me know if this is possible and how if so...

    Thank you

    J

    Hello J,

    You will need to make changes to the model in a modeling application Photoshop can't change the UV mapping for a single mesh. There is an option for the UVs resetting, but it is global.

    Kind regards

    Steve

  • Cisco Aironet SAP1602E - changing open to WPA - PSK access remote (RAP and map)

    I currently have a deployment of Cisco Aironet SAP1602E Wireless point to point bridge (bridge using RAP and card, root wireless and Non-Root Bridge) to expand a layer 2 VLAN from one building to the other. It currently operates uisng open authentication and encryption - and is administered remotely via the bridge of root, to get wireless (manage) the bridge Non-Root - RAP wireless remote.

    Try to configure the PSK WPA2-PSK remotely via the GUI or CLI - first setup - I informed a similar error to her below indicating that:

    Error: Key-management WPA is requried for WPA-PSK
    Read around, it seems, there is a configuration-control problem, and that I need to specify the mode as WPA2-PSK first, before then being able to specify the PSK there instead of using. However, as soon as this mode is specified on RAP, my remote administration is broken - as probably the RAP try to use WPA2-PSK to look for a PSK, which has not yet been configured. Am I missing something obvious here, or is the order of operations of CLI (1] convert to WPA - PSK; (2] shared secret to apply PSK) as a migration from open to WPA2-PSK cannot be configured remotely (short of preparation of a startup-config; TFTPing presents more; and issuance of a 'reload' remote control)? Can someone please enlighten me as to what the logic is here - no doubt I should be able to specify a PSK first (fo without worrying if I use WPA, WPA2 or other), and then be able to specify that I want as the layer of encryption (WPA) to make use of this pre-parameter PSK? If it was a router, you don't can me to add something to the authentication key chain OSPF; before clarifying its use - why so different Aironet Wireless IOS?

    You're right, and because you will have to enter several lines of configuration to switch to WPA2-PSK with AES didn't really matter; the AP would reset the radio anyway because you make changes related to the radio interface. It would be very useful that if Cisco router/switch IOS 'macro' feature available AP thus in changes like this, unfortunately this is not the case.

    Start with the nonroot AP and make sure that the following lines are added to your configuration. If you add by the console, the order must be like that, do it by downloading a new configuration of booting with tftp, that it does not matter.

    interface Dot11Radio0
    encryption ciphers aes - ccm mode

    SSID dot11 TEST
    authentication wpa key management
    WPA - psk ascii 0

  • 13 "Macbook Pro retina heats up on the bridge and google maps satellite

    Hello!

    I have a 13 "Macbook Pro retina

    I noticed that when using google satellite view maps (no matter if in Safari or another browser) my Mac begins to quickly heat up to 102 degrees Celsius (I use https://www.seense.com/menubarstats/ to measure the speed of the CPU temp and fan, but even without any application, you can easily feel the high temp and hear the blowing fan) the fan also starts to blow at maximum speed. When I left the site everything returns to normal.

    Same thing happens when I discover the overpass in Maps.app. When I left the temperature goes down to normal.

    I can compare the situation with my MacBook Air a years more and I have none of these problems in this regard. Strange that both Mac have only the Integrated GPU. No idea what may cause heat upward? Dealing with the satellite or view 3d demanding for rMBP but not for the older MBA buildings? Both on the latest version of the model

    Thank you!

    Hello there, villovsky.

    Looks like you see increases in temperature and fan problems when using particularly intense applications on your MacBook Pro. The following Knowledge Base article offers up to large initial measures for troubleshooting:

    Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac.

    Before resetting the SMC

    Reset the SMC only after trying all the other standard troubleshooting. Try each of the following steps in this order before resetting the SMC. Test the issue after performing each step of troubleshooting to see if the problem persists.

    1. Press Command-Option-ESC to force stop any application that is not responding.
    2. Put your Mac to sleep choosing sleep from the Apple menu. After that he went to sleep, to wake up the computer.
    3. Restart your Mac by selecting restart from the Apple menu.
    4. Stop your Mac by choosing stop from the Apple menu.
    5. If your Mac does not, forcing the Mac to stop by pressing and holding the button for 10 seconds. You will lose any unsaved in all open applications work.

    If you are using a Mac laptop, which is the power or battery issues:

    1. Unplug the adapter from your Mac and the electrical outlet for a few seconds, then plug it back.
    2. Stop your Mac.
    3. Remove and reinsert the battery, if it is removable battery.
    4. Restart your Mac.

    If the problem is still not resolved, you may need to reset the SMC. See indicators and the steps below.

    Indicators that need to be reset your SMC

    After you perform a standard troubleshooting, these symptoms can indicate that a SMC reset may be necessary:

    • The computer fans operate at high speed, even if the computer does not have a very heavy use and is properly ventilated.
    • The backlight on the keyboard not behave correctly on Macs with this feature.
    • The led State (SIL) not behave correctly on Macs with this feature.
    • Battery LEDs, if present, are not well behaved on laptops Mac with a non-removable battery.
    • The backlight of the screen does not correctly to changes in ambient light on Macs with this feature.
    • The computer does not respond to the when you press the power button.
