• Scripts do not move the opacity masks

  I use the following script to move an item with an opacity mask in illustrator.

  The element moves, but the opacity mask stays in the same place. I confirmed that the opacity mask is locked with the element. I also see an element of form in the data browser. The vector object that was used to create the opacity mask is no longer present in the data view. Any ideas?

  My script actually ended out mistake when an item that you are trying to select once again has a sub hidden element. To work around this problem, I have actually used script dialogue for the relocation of Silly-V to replace my actions of alignment. The result is the following. I have confirmed that it works with the hidden items sub and opacity masks.

• Source layer to exchange but keep mask scale

  Hello

  exchanging the source footage layers with Alt + do drag new footage on layer works fine... but when the layer had a mask, the mask shape is changed... probably because the update layer comp has a different scale, even if he has not put A nationwide scale... scaling B B is just much higher. The mask of lock unfortunately did not help.

  No clue on how to preserve the original shape of the mask on the layer?

  You are replacing a layer with established and format horizontal & vertical dimensions of the pixels with the one that has different properties.  You can make a model with the same settings as the original layer, new layer inside and THEN use it when you replace images.  Masks will be just right.

  Well my friend, in my opinion you should not try to disassemble the laptop if you n t have the necessary experience and don t know to do this!
  You could damage other parts that you know

  You're stuck on the LCD mask?
  As far as I know the LCD mask is covered by two screws that are hidden under the joints.
  You will need to remove both seals of mask LCD, and then you could remove the two screws hidden under the seals mentioned.
  Then, you could put your fingers between the mask and the LCD screen in order to release the LCD mask plastic locks.

  But note; Be careful, don't use any force!

• Add pop-up information after button/script is run.

  Can you add a pop up with information after a button is executed?  I am new to LiveCycle and have, with the help of this forum, created a button that blocks form fields to fill in the runtime.  What I was asking is if a pop up can be added after button advising the user to save the form with a different file name (to preserve the basic shape for future use) before finalizing the document.

  For example, we created a quote form to send to our domain to use when preparing quotations for customers.  Before they send the quote to the customer, I added the button to lock the fields first.  However, if I have this right, and they record the form, without doing a save as a different file name, they eliminate the possibility of using the base again form.

  I was also wondering if the button could be eliminated during the recording as another process of file name (so the end recipient can not see the button at all).

  Hope I have explained this clearly enough.

  Other thoughts on how other form designers have done similar tasks would be appreciated also.

  A button has three events that are associated with a user by clicking on the button:
  mouseDown
  mouseUp
  Click

  It is generally not a good idea to put the script that modifies the form or in the event mouseDown because he done something before the user committed fully to click action. In other words the user could click on the button and then change their mind and move the mouse over the button until they release the click.

  That leaves two events. IF all of your script works as a block, then you must place it in the click event. But if it's not, and you need two separate events, then you can put the first part (action) in the mouseUp event and the last part in the click event.

  On the basis that it will do all the work in the click event, you might have the following two lines after the lock in all areas:

  He gets a status message to the user, confirming that the form is locked. If you get this working then it'll get you out blocks.

  Create a solid on top of your item you want hidden, creating the mask it. Then on the images layer set track matte matte Alpha mode and you leave. You can lock the solid and whenever you move the layer underneath, it will hide the training accordingly while remaining motionless.

• Lock the position of the mask in FCPX?

  I have an image I want to move from right to left (I'm trying to simulate someone hit to swipe an image on their phone). But I need to be masked so that when the image is moved, it is not just move from one place to the screen to the other (it must be enclosed in a mask). When I apply a mask in FCPX the mask moves with the image. I have to be able to stop it. Is it possible to do? It seems like the simplest thing in the world, but I don't see how it can be done. And Yes, I tried keyframing the mask but because his move with the image, it is dragged in every sense. If the movement is necessary so how would I do it in motion?

  You don't need a movement.

  Create the animated clip of right to the Center - stop - center to the left. Create a clip consisting of it and add the mask to the compound clip.

• Select new / mask locked

  I just upgraded to Photoshop 2015.5 and spin on my MacBook Pro.   When I try to use the Select new & mask tool, whenever I try to make a selection with the magic wand my system hangs and I have to force quit and then restart Photoshop.  I tried to reset the tool and it does not seem to improve.  Anyone having the same problem and found how to fix this on a Mac?  I've seen a solution for Windows that indicates that you have deleted the file preferences and restart Photoshop, and the new file will be created that can solve the problem.  I tried to find a preference on my Mac file and fails.

  Hi b3photo. On a mac, launch Photoshop and before that don't appear the start screen, press Option + command + shift and a window should open asking you if you want to reset, say Yes. Also check your video card drivers and make sure you have the most recent available. I'm on windows, so I can't help you there!

• Cannot install KB2360131 on locked system XP SP3

  It takes a bit of history.

  I work for a software company that writes software for ATMS (ATM cash) by a Microsoft approved locking method that prevents access to Microsoft Windows Desktop for running our application. These ATMs are under WIndows XP SP3 and the base of IE6 installation. IE7 and IE8 have not been installed on the test computer.

  Due to this locking and these ATMs do not connect to the Internet, but wrap each executable Windows Update in a msi file. This method has worked for more than three years until now. Only the Microsoft cumulative updates for Internet Explorer do not settle by using this method. All other install correctly.

  The msi (created using Installshield 2008) performs a custom action to run the executable file of Cumulative Update.

  The command line is:

  msiexec /i MS10 - 071.msi / quiet/norestart/log MS10 - 071.log.

  Due to the inability to install we update the command line for the Cumulative Update to include logging for the update as well. This paper has the following:

• Move tool &gt; layer is locked error

  I have an image open in Photoshop CC (latest Version). I exported (command + E) another image from LR to Photoshop so now I have two files open in PSCC mode tabs. Last night I was able to drag with the tool move and put my mouse on the file header and drag it out of sight by tabs. Then I would move the mouse pointer in the body of the image (by the way, the two images are the same just different treatment and my goal here was to make a layer mask and paint in or on certain parts of the image). So I've done it a thousand times and today cannot.

  So when I got take my mouse in the body (not on the head) of the image, hold down the SHIFT key and drag, I get the coordinates instead of being able to move the image on the first photo where she would have two layers on the right and I get the message

  I also noticed today that my move tool is a + with the arrows in all four extremities. Maybe this has changed recently, and I have not noticed. I reset all the tools and brushes. Short of reinstalling CC, I'm puzzled.  Also in the upper part of my toolbar I disabled, Auto-selection and the selected group. It worked a zillion times before. Help it sucks! I get an error for locked layer. I've never had to play with layers of unlocking.

  I could always have to files side by side, I could simply drag one photo to another by using the SHIFT key, which makes 1 layer (new image slide) and another background image.

  I'm unable to use the new 2015,5 Select cc and mask button, I get the error:

  Unable to apply Select the workspace and mask because the disk is not available.

  I've deleted and reinstalled Photoshop 2015.5, when I initially installed it I deleted all previous versions of CC (2014 / 2015), but this has not helped, now, when I'm out photoshop I get the following message is displayed:

  Could not save preferences because the file is locked, you don't have the necessary access permissions or another program is using the file. Use the "Get Info" command in the Finder to make sure that the file is unlocked and you are allowed to access the file. If the problem persists, save the document to another file or duplicate in the Finder.

  It's perhaps related?

  I can put in discs from scratch, but because of this error message that appears when closing photoshop and then when I restart all drives are disabled in preferences such as Scratch disks, and I have to choose my discs from scratch once again (which will be then "forgot" the next time I'm out CC because of this error message.

  I went to the FINDER > GO kept the alt/option key in, and then selected LIBRARY and chose LIBRAY > PREFERENCES > CC 2015.5 settings in Adobe Photoshop and then press Command/Apple and letter "I" and selected under sharing, everyone and set to READ & WRITE it was put to custom, and that fixed the two issues "

  Simply copy the layer structure in my example. Once you have the image of filling on the top layer and a black layer mask in place, make sure first that the blending mode is set to 'normal', it should be as it is by default. Press d on the keyboard to select the colors of foreground and background by default, then x to make a pure white the foreground color. Press b on the keyboard to select the Brush tool and set it is small enough and halfway between soft and hard and the opacity to 100%.  Now click on the layer mask black on the top layer to select and begin to paint on the canvas. You should see the image at the top starts to become visible as you paint. If you go off and parts of the image you don't want revealed begin to appear then simply change the color of foreground to black by pressing x on the keyboard and paint on the unwanted parts to hide. Then alternate the color white again by pressing x and continue painting, ensuring that all the time that the layer mask is selected is not the image itself. If the edges of the picture that you paint look causing some simply reduce the hardness of the brush.

  Looks like your mask has too many paths of access or summits. Try to turn on caps lock shift before you open the ASP (project file) or before you launch AE. If this does not clear your Cache and preferences. If this does not resolve the problem, we need workflow details that let you to this error.

• Why no automatic selection + drag selects a layer with a mask even though I select a zone that does not include this mask?

  This behavior has been here for a while and makes no sense.

  If I use a mask vector on a picture, for example, why on earth I would select if I select / dragging around the layers, which does not include this vector mask?

  I'm wasting a lot of time with this behavior/problem. I don't want to lock / unlock all my layers with a mask at all times to avoid this.

  With work plans, it's even worse that the layers with a mask can be selected on another plan of work and then I'm select / drag!

  Unfortunately, this feature is not so smart than that. It detects only if there are pixel in the original layer, and it does not take into account the layer masks. Most often I find the automatic selection more annoying and frustrating to use than the benefits it has.
