  When my new MBP came directly from the China (I paid the extra $15 for express delivery) and I was starting for the first time, I plugged on my old based on the PPC PowerBook G4 10.5.8 Leopard and when I got to the screen "you want to transfer your data", I chose "transfer from a Mac", hit continue and expected to see an error screen.  Surprise, surpise, transfer stepped forward, and all my accounts and passwords have been transferred to the MBP.  I used a Firewire 400 to 800 cable to connect two computers and started the G4 in target Mode.  The only 'problem' I have noticed (if that's the right word) is that my new MBP is found with the same name as my old G4.  I expected to wonder on behalf of MBP somewhere along the line, the installation procedure.

  Then I came across two problems related to the system with the MBP, but I don't know if they were related to the transfer or were part of a problem with the original, factory system or the 10.11.1 updated, which I fell right after the end MBP of the initialization of the first time.  The first problem was the MBP would not print at one of my printers Epson (Stylus CX7400 and Stylus Photo R280), even after downloading what it determined were the correct drivers. I would get an error message "failure of the filter.  The second problem was that the MBP would not cCREATE a bootable of El Capitan Installer using the Terminal and the command SUDO appropriate.  Both these problems disappeared after I reinstalled completely El Cap 10.11.1, but I still want to know if transfer in my info to the G4 PPC-based using Setup Assistant might have caused or contributed to them.

  Very likely that the system software and some of the apps would not be compatible with a mac intel. Music and photos would be. And also movies. But all third party apps will need to be updated to work. If you have used assistant migration there is a screen where you can choose what are the files to be transferred.   Hello, I had a lot of trouble with the Vista machine for a few days. System boots, I have connection, I see the office, then after a three or four minutes, freeze current applications, then I can't do anything. Freezes even if I do not open all the apps. So I try Ctrl-Alt-Del, nothing seems more answer. So I have to hold down the power button to shut up down, then power, boot without failure. When in safe mode, system seems to work very well. I can access files, etc.

  I tried the method suggested to go to msconfig, turning off all services and startup items, then try to turn them back on a few at a time to try to isolate that one poses problems. Last week, I thought that I reduced to superfetch as the problem, so I disabled it, and my system has worked fine for a day, pc used for several hours, then turn it over to freeze problems.

  I also tried to go into safe mode event viewer, examine the mistakes and try to solve the problems. I do not have any progress.
  I copied the error: ID of event below. Can anyone provide assistance, advice or where to start?

  THIS could very easily cause your system will crash - in fact, I'm surprised, he started even with this error.  Did you get a lot of that or is it only once?  If you get a lot of them, this is a serious problem, we will have to address.

  If this does not work, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly hit F8 key so that the start and go in safe mode with networking).  Then we will check some of your system files:

If other procedures do not work, it is almost certain to work.  You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs).  If the version on system with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled cane and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to do a slipstream drive as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.

  Driver has been installed correctly, when I turn the WLAN on everything is always OK, but when I connect to a network wireless Windows XP hangs after some time - without notice or BSOD - and the only thing I can do is to restart the PC holding down the button for 5 seconds.

  -installed the last version of drivers available (v6.1150.1112.2008)
  -tried how it works on Vista Home Basic - it does not either, but on Vista only connection must be reset.

  My Disk Defragmenter Hangs After startup.  I tried to use the microsoft fix it Center automatic troobleshooter for the maintenance of the system determine the cause and got an error code 0 x 80040154.  He only "worked" on windows update and the update to fix issue still exists.  I'm trying to find out what means error 0 x 80040154 and how to solve the problem.

• X 2 Pavilion: Pavilion x 2 pc goes black after login

  PC screen turns black after login. Ctrl/alt/Del we will execute me explore program and shows nothing running.

  I seem to have a virus on my new pc, even with supply it, free antivirus comes with the pc program. And I bought it on the Microsoft Store will not get of bloatware. I saw optimizer Pro flash per once, maybe it's the virus.

  I tried to restore the pc to the factory starting conditions, but it asks for an alphanumeric key, that I can not enter because it gives me just a numeric keypad.  Even the keyboard allows only to digital output.

  I can't do much. I had rather not the operating system now, but it would be better than what I have now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Boot the computer normally and log.

  Black screen, hold down the ctrl and alt keys and press delete.

  Select Task Manager.

  At the bottom left, select more details (if it is not already selected).

  Click in the header of column Nsoul to organize the processes in alphabetical order.

  Look for an entry called to run once Wrapper (RunOnce.exe) - If you see it listed, right-click on it and select end task.

  If your office now appears, download AdwCleaner on the following link (there are 4-5 second delay until it's available)- Save in your downloads folder.

  A once downloaded, close all programs, open your download folder and double-click the application to run it (click Yes to any uac prompt).

  Click the scan button.

  When the results are displayed, click the Clean button - when you are prompted to restart, click Ok.

• hangs after startup

  Dell Studio laptop computer with Windows Vista Home Premium.  Whenever I bootup, & it gets the main office, the computer hangs after about 1 minute.  If I log in safe mode it freezes after about 3 minutes.  And if I connect normally or in safe mode the box PROPERTIES of the SYSTEM (the one w/computer name, hardware, advanced, remote tabs) always appears. Help please.

• Compaq Presario SR1760AN AMD3200 + hangs after system restore just after the XP splash screen.

  Epic to date.

  PC not working and suspended on the start Recovery xp splash screen.

  1 wouldn't start or start SafeMode etc.

  2. out of hard drive and plugged on the other pc to save important info because that wouldn't boot. Copied files-WHEW

  3 restarted and tried to recover from D:\ recovery software. -Hangs on reboot after the start screen each time ARGH.

  4 caught Recovery CD that were made when the PC was brand new - failed 5 times! IE system hang after starting xp

  5 Pen Drive has created and initialized Compaq ISO - PC Doctor DOS Version.

  6. inspected PC - found a hard drive to have multiple errors and so dead - replaced by wd 500 GB drive NINE.

  7 PC DOCTOR BACK - pass all other systems, motherboard, RAM, etc.

  8 were again trying to install from the recovery CD "R"is only an option as no recovery partition." 2 unsuccessful attempts so far.

  9 think about jumping from the Westgate bridge.

  Please help if you have any ideas or if I missed something extreemly critical please let me know.

  PROBLEM SOLVED.

  Has decided to remove Kboard and rear USB ports USB mouse and stick 'em in the front.

  HEY PRESTO START!

  Obviously a problem with the rear of the motherboard well that the PC doctor reported no problems.

  OH well Im happy like a cat in #$% T. Update for XP3 reinstalled updates of all HP SP for this system and we are offshore and running. TIP for any related problem: always google and read similar messages: you can often find the answer that I did.

  I recently updated the system 'Windows 8 preview with media center version', but my system hangs after each start and restarts.

  The minidump files display a stop error message DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (133) referencing the netio.sys:

  The netio.sys is a Windows driver that is involved in the "networking."

  The process that crashes regularly is avgnsa.exe which is a process of AVG.

  I would say to uninstall AVG and see if the accidents to solve.

  He also seems to be a remnant of a previous installation of Trend Micro (tmtdi.sys) driver.
