memory day problems post 10.11.6?

In the last days, safari has been giving me the BBOD, and crashing several times a day. Less critical (but hey, it's a holiday weekend) lies in the fact that I can't play the games (minecraft) because the application continues to run out of memory, despite the fact that I have 32 GB of ram. There is a process of kernel running at the level of the root that starts normally, but then the spikes to use all available memory (less than 2 GB to 18 GB - Yes gigabytes is - and all applications must be suspended at this time).

Does anyone else have problems of memory after this last update? I don't think it's a coincidence that safari, memory and kernel of processes are involved in updates and my problems, but I am not an expert. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm running an i - mac 2013 with 3.5 GHz intel core i7:

If your LCD is blue and you get the error of memory/battery on each startup, then you need to replace memory RAID (99% chance that it is rarely a defective battery or the riser).  The operating system will not usually start in this scenario.

If your LCD is amber and a message about the scrolling ROMB battery voltage, you should replace the RAID battery (sometimes it's because of riser).  The operating system will usually start and work very well in this scenario.

First of all, stop playing with readers and replace the memory RAID (and battery and lift to be 100% sure).  Once it is replaced, due to all mixture player you have done, you might have a few steps very careful to recover your data and make your table online.  When you're ready to do this (again, it is useless before repairing the message memory/battery), call Dell technical support - it's always free on servers, regardless of the status of the guarantee.

  • Memory Allocation problem when using JNI

For a project, we need to interface Labwindows CVI / Teststand with an application written in Java. We use JNI. The code uses JNI_CreateJavaVM to start a JAVA virtual machine to run the Java interface code. The code did run for quite awhile, but now (without any obvious changes on the side of the CVI or on the coast of Java) JNI_CreateJavaVM will fail with the error-4 code, this means that of the JAVA virtual machine failed to start due to the failure of allocation memory. First investigation shows that even if the Windows Task Manager shows approximately 600 M free physical memory, you can allocate in ICB only about 250 M as a single block at the point where we call JNI_CreateJavaVM. Maybe it's a little less because we have - Xmx192m to the JAVA virtual machine to run our code. Unfortunately just to increase the physical memory of the machine of 1.5 G to 2G doesn't change anything. Free memory space in the Task Manager showed increases, but the memory total block size does not work. Are the trick to optimize the CVI/Teststand who use cases?  Or maybe the problems with JNI?

Finally, it was a memory fragmentation problem with TestStand. See details/solution here

  • Memory controller problem?

My new X230T works well for most, but I also had the odd problem here and there, who seemed at first view to focus on the SW.  However, memory is "basic" Windows Memory Diagnostic, but crashes at 21% when I try to run this "extended".  Since the results are the same with 3 different memory modules, including 2 worked in another laptop, it looks like a problem of controller memory.

Lenovo support advises me send in the laptop for repair, but I wonder:

    1. If it is a problem of synchronization of memory, which can be fixxed by updating the BIOS.
    2. If it's even safe to try to update the BIOS; probably the problem of memory could cause errors in the update.
    3. If I should restore the laptop to the original configuration before you send it.
    4. If it is safe to use a backup (Clonezilla) image to restore my system configuration when I get home again, or if I have to reinstall / reconfigure everything from scratch. no doubt he could stand errors in the image backup or the configuration SW caused by errors of memory, but it took several days to get to this configuration.

After reading some other posts on the web, there seems to be a known issue with the Windows Memory Diagnostic progress indicator.  Although it only takes seconds for each increase of 1% up to 21%, the indicator can subsist on 21% for hours.  Is not necessarily an error, and the test can still complete successfully.  I'll let it run all night and report back.

  • Tecra 8100: memory slot problems

    I have a model tecra 8100 not: PT810L 12 c 42.

I had problem with slot B mem, so collapsed to use it. Then I upgraded my RAM and inserted a 128 Mb TOSHIBA THLY6416G1FG-80 RAM PC100-222-620 slot A and used for a month. Then he suddenly went dead one day and did not boot at all.

I took it to the point of service, they found somehow it work by sticking a piece of paper btw Aries and the cover. I used another week with ram cover duck taped it. Same story, then dead in the middle of winXP, switched off and no boot again. It took to the same service point, they tried some other RAM chipsets that it refused to start.

The interesting thing is; When they inserted a faulty RAM in slot A and non-use slot B we get the message "memory incompatible chipset" on the screen. With the RAM mentioned above in the slot B (problem as always) and the A we get nothing, just a blank screen, DVD slot starts green lit, but nothing.

WHAT SHOULD I DO, PLS HELP

What is the RAM causing problems? What must a chipset that is exactly compatible with the model no pls?
Is it the two locations of memory A or B, their change could solve the problem?

This is the machine he itself, must it be thrown away?

    ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

    Hello

I n know where you tried to upgrade the memory but as Lisa suggested this was not a serious technician. I changed and upgraded memory on multiple PCs, and you must use 100% compatible modules! You shouldn't t install the modules with a brute force or use strange things as a communication between the housing and the memory module.
Possible slots are damage due to use this procedure. But I hope you're a lucky man and everything will work correctly.

If you n t know which modules are right and taken in charge so you should contact the service partner authorized Toshiba for the right and the upgrade modules.

    Good luck

  • memory iPhone problem

    Hi all

Im having memory problem with my iPhone more than 6 s. It seems I've lost memory without explanation. For 3 days, documents and

the data saved in the phone has tripled its registered memory. Is this a virus?

< personal information under the direction of the host >

No, it is not a virus. Unless your iPhone has been jail broken, she can't catch a virus. Try to eject the phone, restart the computer and force restart the phone and sync again. Something fountain that happens.

To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Your phone number and serial number were visible in your screenshot and I asked the host to remove it.

  • G62-407DX portable computer memory upgrade problems

According to the documentation on my laptop, it supports up to 8 GB of DDR3.  It is currently installed with a key 2 GB of Kingston and a 1 GB of DDR3 Micron as it was configured by HP.  I tried to improve it up to 8 GB of memory PNY last night and met with complete failure.

When starting the BIOS detected that 8 GB of RAM was installed like Windows.  However, Windows indicates that 3,79 GB of RAM was usable and 8GB has been installed.  About 2 months ago, I got this exactly the same problem on a desktop computer.  The question is not in Windows because it is the 64 bit version of Windows 7.  It's actually the BIOS that is to blame.  On my desk, I had to contact the manufacturer to get a new version of the BIOS (the version I needed was not available on their website).  The problem with the BIOS, is that he lacks the feature "remapping memory."  Without the parameter, Windows will not be able to use all of the memory installed in the system.  The BIOS on this laptop seems to have basically all normal BIOS settings deleted, which is strange, but I can understand since it is a laptop and not a desktop computer.

After having the problem with memory, I checked my BIOS version and went on HP website to see if there was a newer version.  To my surprise, the version in my laptop (F.25) is newer than the version on the website (F.23)!  It seems that all the drivers and utilities on this laptop HP support page are old.

Can someone help me find a BIOS with memory remapping?  If there isn't one, I hope that HP sees that their BIOS has a problem...

    Hello snike3,

Sorry to hear about your memory problems. I came across your post, shortly after the purchase of 8 GB (2x4gb) of new memory for the same model specifications, and I started to worry that I would have problems too. I installed modules and all the 8GB are recognized and usable. I bought the laptop (HP G62-407DX) last week. Running the version of BIOS F.25 with InsydeH20 Setup Utility Rev. 3.5 and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, like you did. The new modules passed the test of the memory configuration utility (I'll run it through something more rigorous later).

I know that this does not solve your problem and I apologize, but I hope that it provides an overview. Maybe you received a module of memory of buttocks, or it is not fully inserted into the slot of memory? Maybe the PNY memory modules play well with these laptops? If it's any consolation, the memory that I use is model G.SKILL F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ:

If possible, you might want to consider RMA'ing your PNY memory and buy memory, that I linked above. He has been working for the last two hours firmly. Please reply/re-post when you have a solution to your situation.

  • EliteBook 8440p memory upgrade problem

I have a 8440p with 2 GB installed, running Windows 7 32 bit (Yes, I know, this config sucks).

I want to get all of the 4 GB addressable with Win7/32 myself a 4 GB SODIMM thinking that later, if we ever 64-bit installed, I can go up to a massive 6 GB addressable immediately and have the option for 8 GB...

So when the 4 GB is installed in the Bay of belly, the machine starts fine, but go to the CP, it shows the 6 GB installed (fine) but only 2.92 GB usable (not so well). I was expecting something much closer to 4 GB addressable (for example 3.9 GB). Advanced Tools-Resource Monitor shows approximately the same (2.91 GB).

Having just updated i7 laptop Alienware my son to 32GB, I know that CP still show a slight deficit in GB usable, but not of 33.33%. I expect the used to be quite a bit closer to 4 GB to that.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Don't forget, I still have the original 2 GB in there and, Yes, please answer if you know the problem, rather that suggest I have delete the original SODIMM and try it (which will take a week until we can get a breakfix guy to do it, otherwise it will void the warranty, apparently).

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hello dv2

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I understand that you have a problem with your laptop. However, since it is a commercial laptop, you should post your question on the map cell of the HP Enterprise Forums for a better answer.

  • HP Compaq 6000 Pro SFF: HP Compaq 6000 Pro Compact (SFF) - memory upgrade problems

    < <! UPGRADE MEMORY SHOULDN'T BE COMPLICATED! > >

Chassis: HP Compaq 6000 Pro Compact

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo @3. 00 GHz

    RAM: 2 x 1 GB

    OS: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

I can add more technical info on request.

Recently saved this PC of my friend tries to throw it. Everything is fine with the PC. It works perfectly and there is no material visible failure wihtin the PC either. He just bought a new and had no need for this one.

Before turn me this into a House mutli-purpose server, I decided to upgrade the RAM.

So I did some research and found this page: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01883661

DDR3 240-pin DIMM 1333 MHz non - ECC, Max 4 GB per DIMM slot, Total Max 16 GB module.

I went and bought RAM Corsair. Link to the product: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/cmv4gx3m1a1333c9

I decided to get 2x4gb and upgrade later if I felt the need.

I was happy to install in the PC. one in DIMM 1 slot and the other in the DIMM 2 slot.

    BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!

I thought that maybe the slots are wrong, maybe they have to odd numbers then numbers.

So I changed the RAM of DIMM 2 DIMM 3.

    Once again, the annoying ringtone.

I even tried leaving just the 4 GB DIMM 1 and tried to start the PC, but nothing helped.

I tried a lot of different combinations with the end result is 5 annoying beeps.

After that I thought that maybe, just maybe, an update of the BIOS can change things.

So I installed Windows 7 (I can't stand Windows. Arch Linux FTW) and performing a BIOS update.

I then installed the new RAM again. Yes... frickin 5 beeps AGAIN.

I am extremely disappointed at this point. I spent already $ 70 on a computer with free access.

I read the forums here, but I couldn't find a thread with a solution for me.

Is there anyone on this forum who could lend me a helping hand?

Any information would be gladly appreciated.

PS Please report any stupid error, I did. Stick and stones could not curb my bones.

  • Stops at random - memory/battery problem?

    Hello

    I use a Macbook Pro (retina, 13-inch, early 2013) and OS 10.11.3

Recently I had problems with what I thought it was my battery... The laptop randomly stops (if not connected to the power supply), usually when it is less than 50% charged. When I then connect it to the power and turn it on, my date and time was given to zero on January 1, 2013 or something.

It becomes more and more difficult to work with, and it seems that the percentage that he dies gets higher. Sometimes I have an error message saying 'Battery of Service', but sometimes that happens and is not at other times. My battery had only 300 cycles, so I'm a bit puzzled as to why this is happening.

In any case, just to be safe, I ran a test for Apple hardware, and I got this error: 4MEM/61/400000000

That seems to say that there is a problem with my memory. I don't know if the problems of memory can cause such shut downs, or if it's my battery. I don't really want to take in battery life if she will come out with the same problem.

Thank you very much for your time and help.

Please take the computer to the Apple store to have the computer checked.

The RAM modules aren t fully compatible or they malfunction.
You must use other modules I made good experiences with modules from Kingston.

That means G.SKILL RIPJAWS V 16 GB memoryis is not compatible with this HP computer motherboard? or upgrade the BIOS can solve this problem? or do I return these memory and get 8 GB * 2 instead? Your comments are much appreciated.

Do you think I should contact Toshiba I installed virtually any software on it? or would u reinstalled Windows?

    See you soon

First, you must use the Toshiba Recovery CD to reinstall the OS in this Satellite U300.
Eventually it s something wrong with the OS installed and the new facility could help to solve this problem.

But if the same thing will happen after the installation of the new operating system, then you should contact the ASP in your country for a control of the laptop.
