  I worked the market for several weeks trying to remove my Microsoft Windows XP Edition edition family Version 2002 with Service pack 3 Microsoft Silverlight.  It can be removed with uninstalling the program because I gives me this Message: "this patch could not be opened.  "Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows setup hotfix package.
  I searched on the net for solutions and came across one showing an email from Nancy to the * address email is removed from the privacy * that detailed instructions for removal which did not work.  The instructions were:

  Step 1: Run the correction tool = 1.  Download and extract the accessory Fix '.zip' of this mail on the desktop.  I can't find any site highlighted in this e-mail to download the zip fix attached to my office.

  There were 2 steps more sure I can't even if I can't download this fix zip business that does not exist.

  Every night when I turn on my desk, it shows updates that need to be downloaded when I turn if turned off, then after delayed my trip to the bed for an extra 5 or 10 minutes he informs me that there is no silverlight 2 updates that they were unable to use... which of course I know for months.

  I don't know how my office put a hand on one program that can be removed or updated, but all I want to do is get rid of it without having to replace my hard drive.

  I'd appreciate any help that you can provide, keeping in mind that I am NOT a GURU and as such have no idea of what a hotfix or a hotfix Package is and would like to have instructions to remove this Silverlight program so it will stop embarrassing me, but if you could provide the removal steps which are not difficult to follow It would certainly be useful.

  Outlook Express is a program built into Windows XP. It is not possible to uninstall Outlook Express.

  Try to uninstall Silverlight with Revo: http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html mode advanced that sometimes helps when normal uninstallation methods fail.

  How to tell the difference between Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer (IE) on Windows 10

  If you use IE11 desktop, please check that you do not have active ActiveX filtering :

  1. open IE.

  2. press Alt + X on your keyboard

  3. Select Security.  ActiveX filtering does not have a tick against it for Silverlight work.

  If this isn't the issue please try:

  1. open IE.

  2. press Alt + X on your keyboard.

  3. Select Manage Add-ons.

  4. Select toolbars and Extensions on the left.

  5. Select all add-ons from the drop-down to halfway down on the left.

  6. search for Microsoft Silverlight in the list and make sure it is active. If it is not checked, select it then press the Activate button.
