Migration of code (Development) Dev to Uat to Production (performance) (Development)

Hi all

I want to know what is the best approach to migrate the code migrate from Dev Environment for Uat environment then scenerio in Production (delivery Type)

I would like also to master all repository approach knowledge & creating repository without conflict of id internal while migration of work object.

Thank you.

Arun

There is a lot of documentation out there about the repository ID number, but in short:

  1. Ensure that your deposits in each environment have unique IDS when they are created. One method that can help with different environments is to ensure that standards are numbered from IE a unique range of all repositories in DEV ID assigned to the range of 100 to 199, UAT 200 to 299 and 300 to 399 PROD. It is easy to deduce the ID of environmental objects have been created.

When the migration of objects DEV--> UAT--> PROD, I would say that it should be never rest the scenario. You must migrate design time objects because all your development should be limited to the DEV, including corrective measures that may be taken following UAT. Also this approach greatly simplifies the migration activity. However if you are to move objects of design to the UAT time, not recommended, then make sure that:

  1. When you migrate objects between environments make use of Smart Export / Import, which was introduced in 11 g so that you get all of the dependencies of the object.
  2. Import using mode synonym insertion/update to keep the source of the migrated objects.
  3. Your logical architecture is uniform in all environments (true regardless of whether you are migrating design objects or some scenarios)

    Move your user defined reports in folders. You can save each of them with a single click in this way - to the folder level.

    We have a permanent application in the JDev team to build in the IDE, the ability to export/import settings.

    You can retrieve the directory systemX.X.X.X on the application data directory and must have almost everything.

  • First migration of code with ODAC 12 c R3 beta

    Hello

    I managed to create tables, insert data... using the SaveChanges() of DbContext method.

    But I would use the first migration of Code on a blank database to create the tables.

    To do this, I use the method Update() of the DBMigrator (the configuration of Migration seems to be configured).

    public class MyMigrationConfiguration: DbMigrationsConfiguration <MyContext>

    {

    public MyMigrationConfiguration()

    {

    AutomaticMigrationsEnabled = true;

    AutomaticMigrationDataLossAllowed = false;

    ContextKey = "MyContext";

    }

    }

    config var = new MyMigrationConfiguration();

    DbMigrator dbMigrator = new DbMigrator (config);

    dbMigrator.Update ();

    But I have a MigrationsException with the following message is displayed:

    {"Automatic migrations that affect the location of the table system history of migration (for example the default schema changes) are not supported. Please use the migration code for operations that affect the location of the system of migration history table-based. »}

    You have an idea?

    Thanks for your help.

    SEE the automatic migration support is limited. The doc:

    First of all the code

    ----------------------

    • First automatic migration of code is limited to working with the dbo schema only. Because of this limitation, it is recommended to use migration based on the code, that is, add explicit migration through the command Add-Migration.

  • Process * \MCSHIELD. EXE the nest (428) contained code signed or corrupted and could not perform an operation with a McAfee driver.

    XP SP3 system

    I get warnings like this when Mcafee updates.

    Process * \MCSHIELD. EXE the nest (428) contained code signed or corrupted and could not perform an operation with a McAfee driver.

    Process * \SVCHOST. EXE the nest (1632) contained code signed or corrupted and could not perform an operation with a McAfee driver.

    Is this a problem Microsoft or Mcafee?

    Do I need to fix?

    In the McAfee forums, there are several similar positions such as:

    https://community.McAfee.com/message/241542

    I'll sue your question on in their community, as they already seem to know about it.

    I would also say that, unless you are very fond of McAfee or you are forced to use it, you plan to replace it with something that has a smaller footprint, uses less resources and doesn't have these problems - something like Microsoft Security Essentials, you can get here:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Security-Essentials-download

    MSE completed with the free version of MBAM and SAS should permanently keep your clean enough unless you're a daredevil like me:

    Download, install, update and do a quick scan with these free malware detection programs (not at the same time) and remove all threats:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

    SAS will probably report a lot of tracking cookies and you can just let him delete them.

    Even if you keep McAfee, I always supplement it with MBAM and SAS since no single AV program does seem to know everything.  If your McAfee of your system is clean, I would interpret that means - McAfee found nothing, says he knows.  It is prudent to use more than a reputable scanner to get more coverage.

    If you choose to spend (and you can't have both at the same time), you must be sure to use the uninstaller that you can get from here:

    http://service.McAfee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?LC=1033&ID=TS101331

    Your system will give you better performance.

  • Bug in the Migration of SQL Developer

    During the migration from MySQL to Oracle, the string "NULL" is discharged from MySQL in the same representation as NULL (NULL value). Thus, the "NULL" strings are converted to NULL values

    Is there a work around for this problem? (other than the update in the source database :)) MySQL

    Thanks in advance
    Concerning
    Alfonso

    Hi Alfonso,.
    I reproduced the problem using this table MySQL with the following content:
    drop table alfonso;
    create table alfonso (int col1, col2 varchar (20));
    insert into alfonso values (1,' ');
    insert into alfonso values (2, NULL);
    insert into alfonso values (3, 'NULL');
    Select * from alfonso.

    When I now use SQL Dev to migrate the content using the script method of MySQL database offline are unloaded at:
    123NULL NULL

    -online the discharge of line 2 is similar to the line 3 that the original content is not.
    I filed a bug for the follow-up of your problem.

    In the meantime, you have 2 options to work around this problem:
    -You can use the online data migration method - here the content is migrated correctly
    -you need to change the scripts of unloading
    -online root cause is the script of discharge containing fields escaped by = ""-online you could for example replace with fields escaped by '\' and then NULL is discharged as \N. "

    The discharge now looks like this:
    123\N NULL

    Modify this script to unloading will also need to change the SQL * Loader - especially the CTL file scripts:

    The file generated by SQL Developer for loading data offline using the table in the above example looks like:

    load data
    INFILE 'alfonso.txt '.
    « str "' »
    in the gateway.alfonso table
    fields terminated by ''.
    trailing nullcols
    (
    col1 col1 = 'NULL, NULLIF
    col2 "DECODE (: col2, 'NULL ', NULL, NULL,' ',: col2).
    )

    You must make sure that \N is now correctly mapped to NULL and therefore you have to rewrite the DECODE function:
    col2 "DECODE (: col2, '\\N ', NULL, NULL,' ',: col2).

  • Compiled VI do not keep the environmental parameters from code development

    Hello

    Developed an application that, among other things, has an indicator of string alerting the user to some information relavent. I put the indicator flashes. The default color for a blink was red but went in the environment settings and it changed to green ok and all worked.

    Now, I compiled the code but the flashing color returned to red and my boss tells me it must be green! How do I transfer settings I do the 'environment' settings in the compiled code.

    Neil

    All the code is compiled, with our without having to build an application and Yes, you must add an entry for flashing. Look at the file ini of LabVIEW for syntax.

  • Services in Dev, UAT and production shared environments

    According to the installation guide when you deploy your dev, uat and prod, environments you install the services of the Foundation in each environment. Shared services that you deploy only on a single machine. My question is, is shared services deployed on a single machine BY environment (hence one of the SSP for dev, one for prod etc) or one who serves all 3?

    It is advisable to separate between environments HSS, HSS is at the heart of authentication, then if you were using a single instance of hss for all your environments and had problems with HSS while this would have an effect on all instances.
    I'm not saying everyone should implement in this way just to give my opinion.

  • The AIA Migration error codes

    Hello

    Have a question related to the migration of the error codes of the AIA we configure AIA for each Service AIA/ABC framework.

    These stored anywhere as an xml or in the database? Our main concern is during the migration, we face the challenge to set all this up in a new environment. Rather, I'm looking for, if we can just move the configuration file to the new environment.

    Thanks in advance,

    Phani

    Phani,
    I guess that you are referring to the configuration of error notifications in the AIA configuration pages. These rules are stored in the BSR_ERROR_NOTIFICATIONS table in the schema of the AIA.

    If you export data from an env to be imported into another, you must ensure that the corresponding sequence of the DB (BSR_ERROR_NOTIFICATIONS_S) is adjusted to not run into issues.

  • Could not import the container in DAC - from DEV to UAT

    Hello

    We cannot import our Container of Dev Environment in Uat environment.

    From the client when import us the data into the dac, the client crashes with some java Error.its give an error message stating that the import has failed.

    No idea how to fix this?

    Java memory heap in DAC can be increased on the side customer.

    Open the file to edit - startclient

    echo off
    title Siebel DAC Client
    call config.bat

    Uncomment the following line REM the below if you want to see a DOS window with messages.
    REM and comment out the line JAVAW.
    REM
    REM, % of JAVA-Xms256m-Xmx1024m - cp % DACCLASSPATH % com.siebel.analytics.etl.client.view.EtlViewsInitializer
    REM
    Start JAVAW %-Xms256m-Xmx1024m - cp % DACCLASSPATH % com.siebel.analytics.etl.client.view.EtlViewsInitializer

    Edition of 1024 and increase the blackout of heap memory, it should work. We have faced a similar problem and the increase in the size of the java memory solved the problem.

    Let me know if this is resolved

  • ESB and BPEL 10.1.3.4 - deployment and migration of code... . How?

    I want to deploy my services esb and bpel process in my QA/TEST of DEV environment. Projects refers to some external xsd, wsdl, soap url in the wsdl, what change I get dev-> QA-> PROD. I read about the use of ANT scripts to do the same thing. However, I am not able to get a starting point. can someone share some details on how to go about migration I say a simple bpel file that wants to say 1 file xsd and 1 wsdl file. the wsdl file has an url that changes as I migrate SOAP. can someone provide a step by step guide?

    ANT is the way to go, as to 10.1.3.3 Oracle provided the framework to allow this

    In the SOA_HOME/integration/esb/deployment (I think), there is a zip for the deployment file. Unizip and documentation is here. What you need to do is to create a deployment plan, once done, you can change the URL to point the appropriate environment.

    There are many post on this topic, on this forum and on google.

  • Automization of content transfer to UAT to Production of content server

    Hi all

    I am using Content Server version is 11 GR 1 material - 11.1.1.6.0 - idcprod1 - 13021 T 001239 (build 7.3.3.183).

    My use case is:

    We must daily registration documents in bulk to UAT Server Batch Loader Utility help.  Then after successful batch load, we create archive of it and export it.  On the Production Server, we import this archive exported so that all data is transferred to the Production Server of UAT content server content.

    Now, we want to automate this process. Well give me some suggestions how we can do using java or something else.

    We have a few steps to automate this process as follows:

    (1) creation of the generator set using the command as follows:

    . / BatchLoader-spider - q d/WIP - mCOAMapping-n/demo.txt

    (2) load the batch which is built by above the command using the command below:

    . / BatchLoader - q-n/demo.txt

    (3) archive content on the UAT Server

    3.1) adding the Archive using the export query

    We used IdcCommand utility for archiving documents.

    The necessary changes in the intradoc.conf file.

    Built a command.hda file. It contains the following code for the addition of archives

    @Properties LocalData
    IdcService=ADD_ARCHIVE
    IDC_Name=SAMPLEIDCNAME
    aArchiveName=archive_test3
    aArchiveDescription=this is an archive test3
    aCopyWebDocuments=1
    aExportDocConfig=1
    aExportQuery=Standard Query    UseExportDate 0    AllowExportPublished 0    AllRevisions 0    LatestRevisions 1    NotLatestRevisions 0    MostRecentMatching 0    CurrentIndex -1    Clauses     CustomQuery dDocType%=%'MSDSCONTENT'%AND\ndInDate%>%{ts%'2014-02-06%00:00:00.000'}    IsCustom 1
    aExportUserConfig=0
    @end

    3.2) export of archive created

    @Properties LocalData
    IdcService=EXPORT_ARCHIVE
    aArchiveName=archive_test2
    IDC_Name=SAMPLEIDCNAME
    dataSource= REVISIONIDS
    @end

    What is the data source = REVISIONIDS in above query export?

    Is the file command is able to accommodate more than an idc services.

    Also please let me know is there another possible to automate this process.

    You can use Archvier Replicaiton

    In UAT

    (1) put in place of the archives to export

    Date of export

    -Export of the revisions with release date later than the date the most recent export

    -latest revisions

    Export options

    -Replace the existing export files

    Replication:

    -Save the export

    -activate the automated export

    Transfer to

    -Automated transfer

    Prod

    Implement

    (2) set up Import Archvie

    Replication:

    -Import registry
