Miss me the update of windows and other important programs

After having recently had a virus that took forever to get rid of, I found that miss me some useful programs. Like windows updater parts for Windows Firewall and other things. I was wondering if I could re put in disc manufacturing or would that erase my hard drive. Or if there is something I can do to get these back without wiping my hard drive and starting over. Thanks for all the answers

Hello

I suggest you run an antivirus scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner to confirm that your computer is free from any infection by the virus. Please find the link below.

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

The Microsoft Safety Scanner is not a replacement for the use of antivirus software that offers continuous protection.

If you really see a message about "acro32.exe" is probably malware you should scan your computer with the virus eset online scanner and then download, update and run the free version of MalwareBytes AntiMalware.

If, as is most likely, the message concerns AcroRd32.exe, the main executable file of Adobe Reader.  Go to control panel > programs and features and uninstall Adobe Reader.  If you have problems uninstalling Adobe Reader, see--> http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Assuming that things patches, install Foxit Reader (free) instead--> http://www.foxitsoftware.com/Secure_PDF_Reader/

Or, if you really want Adobe Reader back, go here--> https://get.adobe.com/reader/ (remember to uncheck the box to install McAfee Security Scan or any other 'add-on free")

  • Regardless of the update of windows and the drivers, I can't create a new folder anywhere.

I have windows 7 and a LG monitor. For some reason, I can't right click and create a new folder. All other functions of the file seem to work.

    Hello Wesley,

I don't know why you mentioned your monitor, is there something related to your question of record?

In any case, to create a new folder in the Solution Explorer, you right-click on the folder parent (or drive) and select 'create a new folder '. Are you saying that its lack of right click menu? If Yes, most probably the cause is in the configuration of the Explorer.

To access, click on the word "Conduct" in the Solution Explorer's main window and in the menu that opens, select "folder and search options. That opens a window, from the tabs along the top of the page, select "View". Which in turn opens a window with several check boxes, make sure that the default settings are checked (there is a button at the bottom of the window to do) and try again.

Let me know how you fare.

Here's how to reinstall Vista as you no longer have a recovery partition.

This can help you (download files and make your own DVDs):

And here are instructions on how to burn ISO disk images:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do it for a small fee

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.
