Missing eating patterns

I changed the power supply mode for my user account, and everything was as it should be.  I tried to change the power mode for the user account of my husband, but there is none is available.  Somehow, they are all removed.  How can I get them back for other users on this computer?

Wicwat,

    Hello

I suggest you try to run the System File Checker. System File Checker tool will solve the problems of missing or corrupted system files on Windows. It determines which file is causing the problem, then replace the file.

  • Equium P200 with WXP, no ACPI

    Hello

I recently bought a new HARD drive to replace the Vista operating system.

I used nlite to make an iso of the drivers SATA, SP2, and XP Home.
I installed XP, SP3 and then all the drivers concerned from Toshiba. Especially the PC is fine, but I have a couple questions.

    They are:
1 button will turn PC on or off, but not shut down the OS before turning off.
    2. when I stop XP I get the message (Win98), "it is now turn off your computer"! (Both of these may be (?) related).
    3. in eating patterns Options\Power I have only the possibility of the turn the HARD drive and monitor and then in the Advanced tab at all no options!
    4. with the exception of point 1 I have no control of the any of the other easy access above the function keys buttons. Toshiba controls are configured but do nothing!

I studied these problems and it would seem that the APCI perhaps the corupt? I can't find any mention of ACPI in the BIOS (Phoenix V2.3). Also, I can't find any reference to ACPI in including hidden devices Device Manager! It was also suggested to upgrade the BIOS to ACPI compatible version?

The only clues I can give, is that even if the pilot pwrsav the pwrsav driver installed OK - in twice caused a fatal error (BSOD) on the PC. To restart, as Toshiba Power Saver icon in Control Panel, but the opening gave me a Fatal Exception error message. I then restored the system to remove the program.
In my opinion that ACPI and energy savings are related, please inform me if I am wrong. (Items 1 to 4 can all be linked)?

XP has apparently ACPI capabilities but I can't find anything on the PC in this regard.
With Vista that I had no problem with mentioned previously not mentioned and everything worked perfectly.
Your help would be much appreciated...

    Hello

It seems that the Toshiba UE driver page provide a special Win XP BIOS version 5.40 for Equium P200.
If you are using Win XP, its recommended to use this BIOS.

In addition, the page provides the pilot Power Saver Power Saver utility for Win XP.
You must install both have additional food options.

The commands and controls driver must be installed so that the functionality of the multimedia buttons.

You mean that only the FN + F2 key combination does not work?
Well, in your case I recommend that you check the settings in the control panel-> power options.

In eating patterns we can choose the Toshiba Power Saver.

  • Question on the parameters of energy Menagenment

I can't change the energy settings. When I try to start: power settings (opcje PAV) it says: I have to close the program of power setting of ms windows xp and start the toshiba power saver. But... when I try to run the toshiba power saver it does not turn on. What can I do to fix this cuz I really need laptop for work more than 30 m on battery.

    HI Artur,

In Control Panel, you should have options for Windows power settings and also the Power Toshiba, utility. You have discovered, you cannot select the Windows power options while the Toshiba utility is installed.

Selecting the utility Toshiba should bring up a window with different eating patterns displayed where you can choose the options you need for the AC and battery modes.

If the Toshiba utility does not open properly then I suggest that you remove from your system and re-install (either from the Tools CD and utility if you have one, or by downloading it again from the Toshiba web site).

    Kind regards

  • Satellite M40 resume Hibernate when the lid is opened

My M40 RESUME from hibernation/sleep as soon as I open the cover, currently in the standby power button action is set to Hibernate and cover is set to do nothing do I put into hibernation and close the lid when I open windows back it doesn't wait for me to press the power button. Is it possible to take that when I press the power button not when I open the lid. or is it a defect?

    Hello

Well, as far as I know the power of setting energy saver button is official on Shut down
and the lid close to stand-by. You can check if it works.
In addition, you can go to the--> Power Options Control Panel.
There, please check if eating patterns are defined on Toshiba Power Saver and take a look on the Hibernate tab.
    Check the settings.

  • Multiple instances of energy saving - why?

I have two instances of energy saving in the system tray, and while I can make disappear temporarily (by removing then allowing the sys tray icon) it always puts another back after that the power has been disconnected, y at - it a reason for this?

Also, if you have toshiba saver installed, is there no way to get the windows running battery monitor? I liked that he's here, he mysteriously disappeared, and I can't imagine a way to get that back (apart from uninstalling energy-saving).

    any help would be appreciated!

    Hello

If you use Power saver you can still see battery remaining status. If you prefer to use the power of Microsoft option energy saver should be disabled removed o of the system. Please check in Microsoft power management it is possible to change eating patterns. If so you can change out there. If there is no possibility to use all the power options, you must remove Toshiba power saver.

  • Satalite P100-188: Sound Volume low quality and no energy saving.

    Hello
I already owned the Satalite P30 - 110 and found the sound quality very good - so I chose to upgrade to the P100-188 as a logical step but at a higher price.

I found that the quality of the sound on the P100-188 is far below and even quieter and more slender, almost seems like a cheap passive speakers for PC but stronger together.

Is it likely that my new laptop is down or is it a normal question on the new model?
If this is a normal problem, I regret the purchase as its is important to me.
The Power Saver utility that I liked in the P30 is also omitted from the P100. Can you please tell me if Toshiba intend publishes a software update to provide what I want to leave the laptop running in different operating modes depending on how I want to use it for example (downloads, etc).

Also how to adjust the brightness of the screen? It was a feature in the TPS Toshiba Power Saver.

    Hello

As far as I know the Toshiba Power saver is installed on many laptops Toshiba, but not on everything!
It seems that the Satellite P100-188 was delivered without the Toshiba power saver.
In this case, Windows power management control power options.
You can define and save also different eating patterns in the Windows power options.

On the sound: it's not easy to tell if it s a normal question.
First of all I recommend to check sound and audio devices and make sure that the volume is set at a higher level.

  • Laptop stops in mode 'sleep'

I recently bought a HP ENVY 15 t-j100 Quad CTO Notebook Windows 7 Professional Edition (PC product #: E1P05AV). I usually close the cover to put it to sleep when I have to do something else. But when I open it upwards, there the 'start windows normally or in safe mode' sreen. I noticed that this only occurs after a certain amount of time to be in mode 'sleep'. If I wake up before this, it works fine. I hope this can be resolved because it is a new laptop.

    Hello

I looked into this question for you, that something was bugging me after reading your last two posts. First of all, the re-create it the image is not correct the problem, means something else is causing the problem, but what we still don't know. Secondly, you can use another program to have the laptop sleep properly so, it's something for your computer, counter was what is the cause of not waking from sleep.

Talk with a colleague, I got some ideas for you to try.

The first, under Windows 7 it is an automatic restart on error. I have a document that will allow you to disable it. What could happen is that when you "wake up" the laptop, something is causing an error, this is what causes the reboot of the system. The 'error' go unnoticed due to the restart function.
How to disable automatic failure system in Windows 7 reboot - this article from about.com, can help you with turning off this feature.

After that, I like you t would restore default power schemes.
Windows 7 - restore default eating patterns - en.kioskea.net article, has orders for it.
Reasoning to do this, is something installed on the laptop, the power setting change might have. Causing "glitch or mistake" which is not allowing the laptop to wake up.

Finally, outside your mouse and keyboard, just unplug all the other devices (USB, specifically) and test. This is to see if any of these cause conflicts.

Test after that as much as you can, if you notice the problem start the reconnection of the devices (if you have others) to see. In addition, with the error recovery is disabled, if you get an error you should be able to capture him now. If you can provide please, this will give a much clearer idea of what is going on. More just guessing.

I would like to know how it all happens.
    Thank you.
