Missing PID

Windows 2003 Server

Having a process using PID 5840 and he was hanged for 17 hours.  In the Manager of tasks (with tasks of all selected users), the PID does not show.

I tried "Tasklist /FI"PID eq 5840"/FO Table' and the answer was"no tasks are running that match the specified criteria"."

I tried "Taskkill/PID 5840' and the answer was ' ERROR:"5840"process" not found ".

I took a list of ' Netstat - nao "and the PID did not appear.

Any ideas how to kill it without having to restart the server?

  • Svchost 100% Windows Update the cause

From my own post about my problem after taking the post similar here.

I have a Panasonic Toughbook, running Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, Version 2002, Service Pack 3. I use Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus. This toughbook gets used to work.

Noticed the last time I turned it on it, he crawled and was unusable. Today I spent some time with it and noticed the process svchost.exe takes 99% CPU. I have narrowed it down to the service of automatic updates which is the cause and I was also impossible to obtain updates through Windows Update with the right bar from green back and forth endless progression.

First of all, in the Windows Task Manager, I've selected display, select columns and checked the PID (process identifier). It showed me which instance of svchost was using all of the CPU, PID 1060 (although this PID is probably different on different machines)

Secondly, I opened a command prompt and ran: tasklist/SVC

In the list, I looked at used 1060 PID and invalidates them one at a time by services.msc services

Disabling automatic updates service immediately set the svchost using all CPUS.

Recheck the tasklist/SVC watch the wuauserv (automatic update service) was the only service missing PID 1060 for the svchost problem.

I think I found the solution at the moment. I was brought to him a post on another forum.

The solution was to install the last update of security for IE8 (KB2879017). You can find and download at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40390.

    Hi all

I just bought 8 streams HP 5901tw 4 days ago, yesterday, after internet connection using my card of 4G (WWAN driver) in my Tablet 8 Stream, suddenly the internet connection dropped and I lost my 4 G network card. I don't know why it happens by itself. But for connection Wifi still works well and wifi interface is always detected in network adapter but 4G is missing from the list.

In Device Manager I see list of pilot missing in other devices-> HUAWEI Broadband Driver Module is missing from my Windows with Bing 32 bit OS 8.1. I try to find the driver through windows update, website of hp or other sources, but is not found. I also tried to update the BIOS firmware to the latest version and upgrade of such software firmware driver LAN, etc. from the HP Web site, but still can not fix missing pilot of the HUAWEI Module of high speed.

I also try reboot several times, making recovery, but still having lack of driver for HUAWEI ADSL Module.

Last effort, I try to current level Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, but still no conclusion success lack driver HUAWEI or fixing my 4G network missing question.

Now I can still connect to the internet with my 4 G card more every trip.

Someone there solution and how is address/where to download those missing 4 G network driver (HUAWEI ADSL Module) 8.1 for Windows or Windows 10 HP 5901tw 8 streaming?

Really appreciate for any help and answer including HP support.

It's really annoying to have this problem and get stuck without a solution. I just enjoy this new Tablet HP for 2 days and now unable to connect to the 4G network more.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards

    Wachyu

I finally found the problem with the HUAWEI ADSL Module in my stream 8 HP (after 2 days of sleep trying to install and uninstall the driver and try all options).

It seems maybe some Windows Update or a driver is trying to change the firmware inside the card top debit MOBILE HUAWEI to download mode (VID:12 d 1 PID:1568), so it can't use any driver installed in point 8.1 of Windows.

I tried to manually change the download mode inside the HUAWEI tools firmware: Revskills (B. Kerler credit) return to the standard mode and then reset, then the Device Manager will detect again under the new material in NIC as HUAWEI Mobile Broadband Module (VID:12 d 1 PID:1570) and automatically installed its driver from Microsoft.

VOILLAA, My Mobile Broadband can now be re-used to connect to Internet and now also presented in the connection.

A lot of delicate here to force Windows using HUAWEI driver to use the COM Port to communicate with the card mobile broadband HUAWEI inside and then using Revskills tools to change the mode to return to standard mode.

If someone knows this problem and wants my help, just ping me and I'll be happy to help you in the orientation.

  • FPGA Express PID vs Custom PID behaves differently? Whats is wrong

    Hi all

I try to use labview FPGA Express VI in my application with cRIO 9022. I write a custom PID and compare the result with the FPGA palette express PID.

It seems that the integral action on the express PID is too large.

I am using PID as a simple Integrator providing zero gain proportional and derivative and Ki = 1. Which provides a signal error of 0.1 and sampling time of 1/5000, after 10 sec, the Integrator must accumulate 1. As usual, we he reach apprx. 10 sec, the express VI increases quickly until saturation.

What is the problem with my VI, I'm sure I'm missing something. The reason why I want to express is that it consumes less space and I have to use 5 parallel PID which I just can't get with a custom because it is written not effectively. I attached the VI and the png for your view.

    Thank you all,.

    Some.

Well, the ZIP file is valid, but I'm on an older version of LabVIEW, so I can not even open your screws, sorry.

I would check your math. Aid for the VI Express FPGA is clear on the functioning of the calculation. It does not count the sample time - which is one of the reasons that gains are standard. Configured the way you need your code, the error integrated - and therefore the output - increase 0.1 for each iteration of the loop, regardless of the rate of loop - so it will take 100 iterations for output reach 10. You can set your full winnings to take account of the actual loop cycle time.

  • PID (FPGA) not taken in charge in an FPGA to States transitions?

I'm currently testing a PID (FPGA) vi in a statechart designed to run on the FPGA, but its gives me the following error.  Am I missing something, or does the PID (FPGA) really not work when you use it in an FPGA to States transitions?

    Thank you

OK, so it turns out that it is a confusing error message/situation. In fact, it is related to the autopreallocate parameter. If you drop PID (FPGA) on a regular VI in a FPGA target and clear the autopreallocation, the VI stops with the same error message.

Then to use PID in your custody/action States transitions, go to the Properties tab in the configuration dialog box, check the option to autopreallocate and drop the PID. LV will still show the error, because we do not change the setting of autopreallocate until you click OK. If you reopen the configuration dialog box, the error "not supported on target" should be gone.

    I hope this helps.

  • Simple PID regulation

    Hello

I use an old version of LV, LV 6i to be exact. Now I'm building a control temperature for simple PID control of a room. I use as my NI PCI-6024E data acquisition card. But, in the middle of trying to get the right program, I stuck to the PID regulation. I use the .vi "simplePID" and connect everything that is necessary, the limits of high and low, the parameters (P, I and D), set point, take Subvi 'Temp'.vi, and connect to the variable process and exit the .vi 'simplePID' to a chart.

The problems occurred when I run the application, the temperature did give lectures as usual and I set the setpoint and limits and also settings. But it seems that the "simplePID".vi don't not responds to these values. As the program is running, I clicked on the "simplePID".vi and see that the value of the settings inside there is not changed to the values that I have previously set. Why is happening. I'm missing something important.

I have attached photos and my VI for your reference. Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by Reentrant is on the right execution tab?

I checked it and its already "ticked" and I checked the Reentrant and try to run the VI, still no response from the simplePID.vi.

  • percentage of absolute units PID

    Hello!

I want to update and make some changes on an old LabView project, done like 10 years ago.

I opened it in my 2012 LabVIEW. A VI make sure PID control, and it contains a VI the obsolete PID toolkit. I have attached the VI simplified with some notes made by me, I left only the relevant parts of the VI as a whole.

What I want to do is to implement the same control but in LabView 2012, using advanced PID VI. I would also use the absolute values for the PID, so don't not percentage values.

I got a little confused with this very old VI, I hope someone can clarify the situation for me.

    My questions:

1, in my new LabView VI, I will automatically be set the range on the Keithley, when it is necessary during the control. Given that I'll use absolute value for the PID, which gain approach P should be used?

(I guess the I and D can remain the same) Should I use P = 0.03? Note, I want to the wire that the value of process directly to the advanced PID VI, not the difference between the PV and SV. Also, the PID on must be directly in Ampere, connected directly to Keithley screws.

2, in this old VI, what "iteration" means? I don't see any similar parameters between my toolkit LabView 2012 PID live...

3, I wonder, too, why the developer in the old days used dt = 20 s, and structure has been placed in a while loop traveled in 1 second. What that entails actually in control
I am interested because I would like to make a very close copy of this VI, but somehow new, as explained above.

Thanks much for any note, advice and help.

    Best regards

You may think the P gain as a ratio of output devices to deal with variable units, which could help you to calculate the correct gain setting when you change units (in percentage of absolute units). However, I missed where the percentages here - are all PV is no logic not any sense. Why it calculate the difference between the setpoint and process variable, multiply it by a large number, then tighten it between-100 and + 100 and use it as the process variable? It's unlikely work well, because the variable setpoint and process should have the same units, they not here. You may be better off than fixing and then retune the controller.

    Martins wrote:

Senior year "iteration" is somewhat similar to the entrance of "Reset". You can search in the VI and see what he does. For most it resets the Integrator and disables the derived control when it is 0 (the first iteration). It also disables the process variable of filtering for the first 3 iterations. The idea is that you connect directly to the terminal of the iterator of a while loop.

I don't see where the dt is set to 20. The dt is purely a mathematical structure, and assuming that the timing is consistent from one iteration to the next, you can set the I and the D values to match any dt value and get the same result. A detachment of the 1920s and a me 20s should be identical to a detachment of 1 s and an I 1 s (note, however, that in the current PID toolkit, I made a few minutes even if dt is in seconds) - in both cases, you are saying that the full time is a simple loop cycle. Definition of dt to do anything other than-1 is mainly useful to simulate a controller offline, for example in the simulation, if you can run the controller much faster than real-time.

  • Regulator PID in SignalExpress?

    Hi all

I'm about to order some equipment of NOR and in addition to data entry, I need to write a controller for a device external (PID, whatever) - for clarity - I want to read a voltage from a sensor and the output of any other voltage to the actuator to set the sensor output for any value, I need.  Nothing complicated.

So can I do this in SignalExpress?  Or I need the full version of LabVIEW?

It seemed to me documentation online is it possible to route an input signal through various filters and on an output channel.  If this is true then I guess I need to know if the components to build a controller (addition/subtraction, integrate, differentiate, etc.) are available to the signalexpress (?)  If they are missing, is it easy to import them from the version/download full from any share/something else?

    Thanks in advance

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

Signal Express is a configurable application software to make the acquisition of data and logging, NOT control applications. But, if your application consists of adquiring and the release of tension or another type of physical phenomena through a conditioning of signals, this is your software. For example, you can buy the voltage, current, temperature, voltage...

You can download the Express Signal with a 30 days evaluation license:

    http://Joule.NI.com/nidu/CDs/view/p/ID/1378/lang/es

During these 30 days, the software will keep the entire feature. You can also read the tutorial that I send you in this post.

However, you cannot change environmental Signal Express import of new features, but you can use hardware filters if they are supported by the filters module and the software of hardware in the tab add a step > treatment > Analog > filter. Alternatively, you can do additional processing with the options on this tab. Have a look inside!

  • PID or something else?

    Hi all

I have a control system of gas through a set of rooms.  The responses of the system is very slow at first, but then very fast and the PID is therefore not able to prevent a go-around.  I tried to adapt my system to use the Autotune PID or PID.  I'm not either of these controllers according to my system.

An ideal control system would have put the petal to the first metal but not miss the set goal/point.  So, my goal is to reach the set point very quickly with very little or not exceeded.

What are my options, I have other options?

    Thank you

    BLW

What version of LabVIEW you have? After the 8.2 version, we have added several examples to shipping PID (now called PID and Fuzzy Logic Toolkit) shows how to "Gain Scheduling" or how to use the screws "Advanced PID' that has the non-linear setting. Also note that when you change settings on the PID.vi, he should try to change with a transition smoothly. I recommend you to start with:

    Planning \LabVIEW 2009\examples\control\pid\prctrlex.llb\Gain Simulator.VI

Perhaps the main challenge is to identify how the behavior of your plant and how you can set the PID for different areas. If you do not have an initial settings of PI that makes stable plant, do not use the VI of PID Autotuning. This algorithm require you to have at least an initial PI controller and the algorithm will try to improve it.

Let me know if you need more information.

  • Output of PID VI looks to On / Off signal

    Hi all

I'm new to requests for PID and currently starting a project involving the PID of a heater of air command. I came across some problems and I'd appreciate really all of the suggestions here

The installation consists of a cDAQ-9174 with RTD module (for example NOR-9217) and an output module current (NOR-9265). The process variable is the incoming temperature which is extracted from the RTD, and current output module sends the output of PID of 4-20mA to the incubator, 4mA is equivalent to heating off, and everything above that turns heater at different levels as a result.

I found a sample program on the site OR I have changed according to my installation. PID loop rate is 10 Hz, and for this I used the calendar software (please see the attached VI). The output for the PID VI range is set to 4-20mA.

During execution of the program, we can see RTD works well (process variable updates correctly), but the output of the PID VI signal varies between these two extremes (4 MA or 20 MA), which apparently turned into a On / Off attached template instead of PID (see the "On-off MV.jpg" screenshot). As a result, the oscillating system in undesirable ways.

I looked at the example LabVIEW, ran to some of them, programs and they seem to work well. I also looked to their diagrams and outside the middle range output different (default is from-100 to 100), I can't see any significant difference for the other parameters to the PID VI.

Was there everything I hard set, or was there something I missed? Any help will be greatly appreciated... Thank you!!

    Best regards

    Victor

If you want to be using PID loops you need to learn about the setting of a PID.  There is a lot of information around on the internet on how to do and there are different methods depending on who you talk to.

How is it tuned and the small selected output range will make things very quickly.  What you can do is to change the output of pid to 0-100 range.  Then you can use the percentage of PID to EGU vi use the output of the pid to control your 4-20mA signal.  So the 0-100 =.004 A02.  Then, you must always set the PID to your system.

  • The Gains of the PID VI Installer

    Hey guys,.

I am trying to learn to use the PID VI in LabVIEW and programmed a simple VI. Here's the problem: the output of the PID VI seems only related to the Kc in the program and the other two values (Ti and Td) do not affect the output, for example ranging from 0.001 to 1000.

Is that all that I missed when programming?

    Thank you very much.

Yes, of course, you can use a loop on the cRIO - you must use a loop if you want your code to be executed more than once.  Make sure you put everything that should happen several times (for example, the function and control of front that you update while the code is running in the development environment) inside the loop.  New LabVIEW users often put out of the loop and wonder then why they are only read once and never update again even if the code is still ongoing.

I still think that you are missing something in the Task Manager.

FIRST - click on the processes tab

THEN click on the button "show processes from all users".

    THEN accept the UAC prompt

THEN click on "Image name" header

    Look for the SYSTEM process

If it isn't 4 PID, there is something weird on your system - think rootkits.
