Missing Template Manager

Hello

In the missing "Manager of Template" field to the title of administrator ColdFusion Server settings > settings, I've specified a relative path to a model (a valid) to execute when ColdFusion cannot find a model asked. How is it, I always get the CF standard error (404) "file not found: TemplateABC.cfm"? I have a few places in my code where I intentionally hard coded a hyperlink "model not found", for example, < A HREF = "TemplateABC.cfm" > where TemplateABC.cfm does NOT exist in my server. Is there some configuration settings in MIIS itself which is overwhelming 'missing Template Manager'?

I even restarted the server. I have ColdFusion MX, Version 7,0,1,116466

Thanks in advance!

Ian Skinner,

I tried without the configuration of IIS for the missing template handler, but I did not, so I configured IIS and it works. I followed all the instructions in this article, http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=95ee04fb&sliceId=2, and it works.

I have a CF MX. Is your CF MX?

I'm a little confused why your work but mine don't witbout configuration.

  • You can specify a missing template handler who lives under another site?

I set up a dedicated website, separated from my Web site for my administrator ColdFusion (CFIDE).  So I have my site here: http://www.public-site.com/ and my admin ColdFusion here: http://www.cfadmin-site.com/ .  They both live on the same server, but in different directories.  So now I'm setting up my ColdFusion settings and request if there is a way to configure the missing template manager and the site-wide error handler to use the files that live under the directory public site so that I can give my users a consistent look?

I'm guessing that's not possible, but thought I would ask.  I can leave on create modules under my ColdFusion admin directory, then using < cflocation > to redirect the user to the environment of the public Web site.  Or incorporating javascript to redirect.  Other thoughts?

If your ColdFusion server, then YES this is where you put managers wide site.

I'm not sure about your statement that you must 'redirect to the public site.  As far I know, ColdFusion must display all content at the site of this directory level in the context of the IIS Web site which deals a request for.

It would take a couple of tries (and if you already have then ok), but my first thought would be we not, you don't need to redirct because you're already there.

  • ADVENT 9115 recovery disk works do not (missing Boot Manager)

Hi guys have a problem created a recovery disc on my laptop Advent 9115 via the Techguys application on the model to create the disc that came with the laptop PRE-INSTALLED. When I originally created the disc, it does not create it was the 3rd disc that actually created the disc with no errors.so when I tried to test and use the drive, it worked fine at first, but after you have reinstalled windows and begins to restart it gives the error message START MANAGER is missing... Any solution without seeking a new advent because its all through the techguys you buy media recovery for this and the control scheme does not work for me and it is 01:50 English book a min for phone... email response is not a great way to talk to them it's like an automated response message.

You should contact the technical support http://www.adventcomputers.com/contact-us.php or http://www.adventspares.co.uk/ advent if it's ADVENT computers to the United Kingdom for assistance in their recovery process - it is them and not Microsoft.  Each manufacturer is different things and we don't have access to information in order to help in their recovery process.

I'm sorry, we can not be more help, but we simply do not have information to do it correctly.  I'm afraid you need to discuss with the advent no matter how this process can be difficult.

If it were a normal installation of Vista using a real disc for Installation of Vista, I recommend the following:

    ·        Do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not resolve the problem, try the following:

To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows RE. To do this, follow these steps (but I guess that this program is not about recovering didk you and so you probably can not try this):

    1. put the Windows Vista installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.

    2. press a key when you are prompted.

    3. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.

    4. click on repair your computer.

    5. click on the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.

    6. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt.

    7. type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

Note If rebuilding the BCD does not resolve the startup problem, you can export and delete the BCD, and then run this option again. In doing so, you ensure that the BCD is completely rebuilt. To do this, type the following commands at the command prompt Windows RE:

    ·        bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup

    ·        c:

    ·        Boot CD

    ·        BCD attrib s h - r

    ·        Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old

    Bootrec /RebuildBcd

If the above doesn't work not or you do not have the disk, download and try to use EasyBCD http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 to see if he can fix the startup problem.

But the sad truth is that I don't know if procedures thisse will work with your recovery system (especially since it is not working properly).  You really need to talk to the advent of this problem and get them to help you solve it.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

HP ENVY dv6-7260er (upgrade). Windows 10.

    Hello

Try the following should repair the registry entries related to your power options - this is a slight variation of a patch that was originally for Vista...

First of all, make sure you that HP Power Manager (if you have this installed) has been uninstalled and reboot the laptop.

Then, if you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip.  Please note that If you have a 64-bit installation, download and install the Installer x 64 64-bit .msi on the link below.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

Download PsTools by Mark Russinovich, extract the files by clicking on the folder, select 7 - Zip, and select Extract here. Copy PsExec, open the computer, open Local C, open windows drive and paste this file in the System32 folder - click on the UAC prompt to agree.

Now download and extract the registry file from the link below - this contains 1 custom setting, but can be deleted at the end.

    Power options.

Open the folder, and then copy the registry file inside.

Open the computer, open Local C, open windows, open System32, open config, open systemprofile drive, do a right click and create a new folder called here for Desktop.  Open the office folder and paste the file to registry here.

Open windows in a right-click command prompt and select "Run as Administrator", then enter the following command.

    PsExec s-i d regedit

Click on I accept to sysinternals prompt to launch the registry editor.  Click file, import, select the PowerOpt file and click on open - you should get a message that has been successfully added to the registry, click Ok.

Return to the command prompt, copy and paste the entry below and press on enter to remove the custom plan.

    Powercfg.exe - delete cabb719c-fde8-4d7d-bc42-717de580c8ff

Close all windows and reboot the laptop - you should have if everything goes well now just 3 standard power schemes.

    Kind regards

As well, the default settings have been removed (probably by HP Power Manager) is it possible to re - install the Win 7 default power management without making a long system repair?  (I have installed since many things that literally took days.  So I really hated to have to all downwind just to fix this power scheme)
Thank you in advance to anyone who can answer this question.

I think I have solved this problem.  The information in the links below I created .pow files for all default windows using plans/plans (energy saving, high performance and balance) on an another Windows 7 laptop (a Lenovo N200 with a power management which had not been ruined by the program of management of power supply by the manufacturer).  I then imported these power schema files into my HP laptop and, fingers crossed, everything works as it should again.  I hope it will help someone else who has the same problem after installing the HP Power Manager (it is no doubt HP Power Manager that caused the problem in the first place).

I woke up randomly a few weeks ago my computer, sitting on a black screen with the error ' BOOT MNGR MISSING, IMPOSSIBLE TO BOOT. PRESS CTRL + ALT + DEL TO THE RETSTART'.

I have no idea what caused it, it seemed completely random. After some googling I found that I just need to insert my windows disk and restore, which I did and was able to start properly.

This also seems to be correlated with the tabs in Chrome crashing. I seem to have a limit of about 10 tabs, after that each new tab page crashes.
