Mobility Center > presentation settings

Can't see the presentation settings in the dialog box when I open the box is empty, I have to have a projector hooked up to make this visible or is it a software problem, if so, how can I solve it please?

Hello

Logon as Admin means you need to use the higher - level account that sets the password
for the UAC. Yours is probably this account - look in Control Panel - user accounts - right side
you will show the icon and your name and indicate the administrator if you are a.

The manufacturer of the device is the one making the projector or any other device that you use for a presentation.

Dell has a lot of books online also, but as you say it requires little research.

I hope this helps. Rob - bicycle - Mark Twain said it is good.

Have tried downloading VAP but no difference. Toshiba Assist has nothing to help me, I think.

I tried looking for drivers and utilities for the L300 and sees nothing to help me - no presentation or power related only downloads.

How can I get the presentation settings? The main problem I have is not to want the screen empties when you watch a DVD or streaming video. Even if you put windows power settings to never turn off the screen, it will still blank after a period of time without the intervention of the physical user, despite the video game.

AFAIK this option is always available when the laptop is preinstalled with Toshiba (factory State) recovery image.

  • Startup error message: "Microsoft Mobile PC presentation adaptability Client has stopped working".

I recently tried to install SP2 to Vista, but it failed. I tried all the resolutions posted, but it is not always correct it. Later, I started my Vista (automatically restored to SP1) and it came with a mistake, "Microsoft Mobile PC presentation adaptability Client has stopped working". I tried searching on the net for similar problems, but I could not find any solution. He comes back every time you start, after that the background, shortcuts and the system tray loaded. This error started showing when I tried to install SP2, but he failed and returned to changes. I think that something could have gone wrong and that's why it shows this message.   Today I tried the system restore to the restore point JUST before I tried to install SP2, but it ALSO failed and brought me back to the State.

Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. • presentation settings pop-up automatically - disapper of the icons on the desktop!

I'm having a problem with the icons on the desktop.  Whenever I start my computer, or disconnect or plug when turned on, the desktop icons disappear, and the program of 'presentation settings' will appear.  The desktop icons disappear.  I right click on the desktop, select display and the "show desktop icons" is selected.  I deselect, then right click, display, show the desktop icons to show.  It becomes really annoying!  I do every time I turn on the computer, unplug the unit while it is on or plug it in.  Each time, the 'presentation settings' lights.  When I use the "Mobility Center" to turn off presentation settings, he points out that they are turned off and does not respond when I try to 'works '.  I have the presentation settings icon right click and stop the presentation.

How can I make this frustrating problem annoyingly go away?

Thank you Mick but you have totally misunderstood the nature of my problem.  I understand how to transform a computer market properly.

My point was that, once the computer is turned on, the presentation settings pop-up and the desktop icons disappear.  In order to get them to show, I have to then do a right-click on the desktop, select view - the "show desktop icons" is selected, but the icons are not - so I have to deselect "show desktop icons"; so, I have to repeat the whole process, this time by selecting "Show desktop icons" until the icons will be displayed.  IF I unplug the computer while it is on, the presentation automatically pop settings - up, the desktop icons disappear and I have to repeat the process.  IF the computer is already unplugged and turned on, and I plug it in, presentation pop up settings and the desktop icons disappear, and I have to repeat the process.  He became EXTREMELY frustrating - it's why I screamed for help...

Anyway, I solved the problem I hope - for some reason any my power settings swiched to profile 'Quiet Office'; When I switched it to the profile "Entertainment", the problem seems to have resolved itself!

    Thanks for the reply kathles.

If the wi - fi button is blue, which means that it is enabled, it can be excluded that the issue.  I do not see a physical switch on this laptop be so that is also excluded.

Then I would like you try to remove the device from Device Manager driver.  Then restart the laptop without having to reinstall and see if Windows detects new hardware and invites you to reinstall the driver.  Doing it this way should erase all settings disable the device and force it to reset itself.

Let me know what the result please!

  • Mobility Center button has stopped working

Hello. The settings (windows Mobility Center) Dell Inspiron 17R button stopped working after the upgrade of Windows 8 to 8.1. The light goes on then off and nothing happens. The other two buttons are OK. A15 BIOS. Tried to reinstall QuickSet several times and several versions. The problem with that special touch seems to be fairly widespread. It is strange that Dell did not properly address it yet. Any answer will appreciated.

A17 BIOS solve the problem. Thanks for the solution!

  • Windows Mobility Center icons have disappeared.

I got my laptop on Christmas day, the Dell Inspiron 15R IS, and to activate the Bluetooth and other options I could press a button with gear wheels above the keyboard that shows the windows Mobility Center. This allowed me to activate and deactivate Bluetooth easily and it worked for about 4 days. However after half of options (which were on the bottom of the window) have now disappeared, so the toggle Bluetooth has disappeared, as well as other Dell options such as the rocker "Express support". I don't know if I changed some settings or how do I return these rockers?

    Henry.

    Henry,

Go to the drivers & downloads , enter your service tag, and then select your operating system. Under applications, download and install Dell QuickSet and see if applications reappear.
