Monitor reset

Hello

I recently acquired the XB270H I am very pleased with g-sync done games very smooth. Skyrim even who has always had a stutter now is silky.

The only problem I have is that I'm not sure what should be the parameters by default when I hit the reset button.

All technology Acer knows what parameters should go to brightness, contrast, color etc temperature When I use the reset button.

I ask this question because I do not think that the default settings are quite right that I don't get a very good overview about.

I'm constantly settings on this monitor trying to get a really good picture, but it seems there are not enough parameters in the menu to properly configure the image on the monitor.

I also heard that the OD function must be turned off. Someone has any idea regarding this feature?

Thanks in advance

Brian

Hi the default settings when you reset the display are 100 brightness, contrast 50, Gamma 2.2 and warm color temperature. Overdrive is also best on normal my settings are 60 brightness, contrast 50, 2.5 Gamma, color hot Temp. I'm very happy with it

You can disable the option in the power options of Vista to prevent mode standby when the lid is closed.

I have a laptop that I put in place two hardware profiles for the specifications below.  One is anchored (work) and the other is in stand-alone mode (home).  I put my deskstop settings monitor extended with the laptop as main display when it is docked and the external monitor to the main when undocked view, switch off and moving between the dock and undocked States, my monitor preferences resume their single monitor with the main display as the LCD screen of the laptop.

I would like to know if there is a way, either with a batch file, script VBS,... to set these parameters to display by running of the said script.  The video card is an Intel HD Graphics 3000 graphics card.  Sorry, I don't have the info exact chipset.  I have set up 2 separate profiles in the application for the video card utility but only makes the manual setting of my display preferences, it does not automatically value them when moving between States anchored and released.

  • HP 2159 m monitor - problem is 'running ants' vertical lines about 1 mm interval during the video display.

At the following problem troubleshooting steps:

    (1) monitor confirmed cable is properly attached to the monitor and CPU.

    (2) monitor reset to the default settings in the monitor menu.

    (3) installed the latest driver - HP 2159 m 2.0

    (4) installed the latest driver NVIDIA graphics - 285.62

Described as "mobile dash", as vertical lines appear to be 1 pixel wide, several pixels long, black, separated by spaces of many pixels and move vertically (up/down) direction.  Lines are separated by 1 or 2 mm.  On rare occasions, the lines are horizontal rather than vertical.

I see this effect during video playback.  Mobile dots are more pronounced with mid - grey tones.

Rarely see a few stray clusters of white pixels on screen in any of the video areas.

Would appreciate any suggestions to solve.

    Mrwrightrl,

This problem has been successfully resolved by HP nearly 12 months ago.  There is nothing wrong with my monitor is.

It's a graphics card from Nvidia to the wrong address.  I was satisfiled with my HP and support products.

  • Reliability Monitor does not work, please help.

I tried to reset it using this tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/20779-reliability-monitor-reset.html

It seemed to reset the reliability monitor, as when I open there was a message at the top telling me that if I had just installed Windows 7, I might have to wait a day before entries would appear. However, it has been a week and still nothing, the graphic is completely empty.

I also tried following a walkthrough of: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/my-reliability-history-contains-nothing/5b2cfcac-4f23-4fc3-b206-985108ab0161

All this seemed to change the message displayed at the top.

I already checked and Scheduler of tasks claims Ractask runs successfully.

So, I honestly don't know what the problem could be at this point. Somethings, I noticed that I could either be causing this or other computer problems are:

    (1) WinSAT, which is listed under in Task Scheduler maintenance contract, has apparently not performed over the YEARS.

    (2) monitor Performace said the system diagnostic and the recording of the performance is stopped.

and (3) a follow-up to start event session called Rac_PS is disabled (this is related to RacTask?)

Thus, any help / advice would be appreciated. (Please tell me just do a system restore, this problem has occurred for at least a year and my restore points only rise to the head of one month).

    7. Select all files in the folder and click on delete.
    8. click on Yes to approve it.

If the problem persists, try step 2.

Step 2: Update a registry setting.

    1. Click Start, type Regedit in the Search box, and then click Regedit.
    2. In the registry editor, set the value of the following registry entry to 1:

    Display set to 3840 x 2160 x 60 - DP 1.2
Motherboard Asus Z170-AR with the latest version of the BIOS

System and the monitor are brand new. Everything worked fine for the first two weeks with my old Dell monitor connected to the monitor with DVI and HDMI on the motherboard, running at 1920 x 1080 x 60. After about 2 weeks, I bought the new Dell P2715Q monitor for 3840 x 2160 x 60. Everything seemed fine at first. Then after a few weeks, I started to notice problems more and more. In the beginning, it was just a problem with the desktop icons are rearranged after the awakening of the energy saving mode. Then I started having problems with the monitor that comes out of sleep at all (I have to press the reset button on the computer to restart). Now, I have big problems with the monitor immediately go to sleep when I try to log on my Windows account. More half the time, the monitor correctly will not resume from the computer being asleep or reset the system warm or cold. After 2, 3 or 4 press the reset button, my office will finally load.

The display often spend in good energy saving mode when I get my password to access my account from windows, and of my desktop never loads. Therefore, it seems that the problem has nothing to do with Windows, drivers or other software. He points to hardware and/or software or defective cable between the motherboard and the monitor problem. Good DP 1.2 communication does not occur systematically.

Please tell us which graphics drivers have been tested with this monitor to work properly with 3840 x 2160 60 Hz, DP 1.2.

Please let know us if there is an update of the available monitor firmware to solve this problem. The current version is A03, which seems to me later.

I tried many things to solve this problem (uninstall and reinstallation, checking registry for information exact EDID, using different drivers Intel graphics, monitor reset to the factory settings, etc..)

Please tell us what other steps can I take to solve the problem.

Most of the users who got the A03 never spokesperson. They had to cross an Exchange used Dell to get the last revision.

  • U2413, crazy to display after the awakening of the mode standby

I just installed and calibrated my monitor U2413.  It seems that every time I wake up the display after my computer went into mode 'sleep', I get a distorted picture.

Most of the time if I turn the screen then turn on the monitor resets. I use a dual monitor set up and the secondary display is fine.

How do you know if there is a problem with my monitor or the video card in my computer?

    Thank you

    Crystal

You can contact Customer Service and ask them to arrange a changemonitor. You keep your current monitors until arrives the replacement. Test the replacement, if it has the same problem, return the replacement to Dell. If it doesn't have the problem, return the original to Dell.

  • Refresh rate of the external monitor (closed macbook) reset

    Hello

Im very new to OS X, I have a macbook air 13 "that I have it plugged into my external monitor acer, when he was in closed mode (clamshell) I changed frequency by accident and now I can't change this back as the ' entry is not displayed. How can I change the refresh rate of the external monitor when the settings show only if the macbook is closed? As I said, I'm new so I am not very confident through many parameters, any help is appreciated.

If you have previously enabled "Screen sharing" Preferences-> sharing system then you can use another Mac to control this Mac and change it to one that works remotely.

You could 'open' the Mac to use its built-in screen and then be able to change the settings of the external monitor.

You can try to reset the setting by following the steps listed here Re: how to restore the display settings

I got a laptop HP Pavilion dv4 entertainment PC. It has a cracked screen and I use an external monitor attached. Can I do a factory reset with the attached external monitor? The monitor is an HP w1815 LCD, case ini that matters.

Thanks for any help on this.

I would like to add that I can see on both screens only on screen cracked that I can't see the bottom of it due to cracking. As recovery options are visible on the external display, it would be prudent to start the recovery process? • How to reset the default monitor on Acer 2920, computer laptop think always connected to an external monitor

Hello, I hope you can help me! I have a laptop Aspire 2920 with Windows Vista Home Edition O.S. It starts and works fine except that after I used it with an external monitor (a tv screen) on the possibility of using the external monitor, it only now starting to think that the monitor is the flat screen tv and doesn't recognize the normal screen of the laptop. The laptop screen is now "pixeled" and shows only like 2/3 of its total width. I checked in Control Panel and it has recorded as the 'normal' monitor flat screen, but I can't way a find to tell the computer that the monitor is the same as usual and not the flat screen tv. Thank you!!!

    Dear Lawrence,

    I ve solved the problem.

Do you have your suggestion to reset and did not work, but keeping your idea, I hooked to an external monitor, mounted in Control Panel, remove the "non-existent" monitor in the device section.

At this point, I had no image at all in the laptop and only the external monitor.

Turn off the computer and then reset the power supply.

Because the computer did not all other monitors, he then had to use the one by default with the default resolution, etc..

Thanks, it was a great help!

  • Need to reset the external monitor resolution in Windows Vista

Stupidly, I changed the resolution of my new external monitor on my laptop to a not available (single mode external monitor) and received a message on the screen: "out of range" + white screen. No matter how hard I tried, I can't use one external monitor mode and must live with double display (which is a waste of energy on my tiny laptop screen). Could someone tell me please how to reset the resolution setting in Vista for the external monitor?

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

You can try the steps below and check if the problem is resolved.

You can go to the control panel of the screen and reset it to factory settings.

And if you face the same problems, then, you must contact your system provider who will be in a better position to help you reset the external screen to its default state.

As a workaround, so check you have function keys on your portable computer, which can go from a monitor to your laptop and external monitor.

If Yes, then try to return to the screen of the laptop and turn off the external monitor.

    Hope this information is useful.
