Mouse cursor freezes

My mouse cursor keeps freezing upwards when I opened my computer, when he was asleep. To restart, I have to shut down the computer, then open it back up again. This has happened for the last couple of days and just started all of a sudden. What happens and why this phenomenon occurs? I have to consider if he looked somewhere? Thank you!

Hi hill8302,

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • MS Wireless mouse cursor freeze in XP

I was getting a random freeze cursor 2 or 3 times a week for a month and a reboot might solve the problem. Yesterday, cursor freeze happened and a restart had no effect. I changed the battery, no change. I replaced the mouse and receiver with one another; no change. I rebooted in Safe Mode; no change. In safe mode, I activated Avast and have a full scan; completely clean except that he told me that he could not access some files. (???) I am not able to select Start scan from Avast because I can't select it due to a frozen mouse. I also checked settings hardware for USB mouse and made sure it was allowed. ; no change.

I didn't notice if there is a particular application that caused 10-12 freezes last month; I don't think that's the problem. And last week I perform a full scan and a week before a boot scan. the two returned without problems. I am running in XP Pro SP3 on a desktop processor Intel Dual who otherwise worked perfectly for months.

I can get to the window of the hardware system, but I need to be able to move the mouse around the screen, so I choose option or file boxes to remove mouse drivers and re - install.  I watched keyboard command lists and none seem to say how to move the cursor by a few (or a few hundred) pixels; only "end of a line, etc...  Is there some these combo keys that allow moving the slider of distances involved to # essential features or the period of ownership of the keys?

    Hello

Yes, I already had all these checks and found no problem.

    2. the problem persists both 32 and 64 bit browser explore?

This can happen if you haveWacom Graphire Tablet input connected to the computer.

    (a) click Start menu and type services.msc in the search box and press enter

WoW64 is synonymous with "Windows on Windows 64-bit", and it contains all the files of 32-bitbinary required for compatibility.

  • do not move the mouse cursor

Hi all. today I did something really stupid. I was in a chatroom without supervision earlier and another person and I'm in it and I could tell definently I makes him angry. I left the chat room and 15 minutes later im on another site and the cursor of the mouse is suddenly freezes and does not scroll on the page. everything else seems to work very well. so I restarted the computer, the mouse works when the windows password page appears, so I type the password and then loading this page and the home page comes (one with all programs, etc.) and appears as soon as that is when the mouse cursor freezes and not scroll or move. everything else continues to load and seems to work very well. If I restart the computer and put it in safe mode and the mouse works moves very well and everything. Anyway, the bottom line is I think the other person sent me a virus or something that is used to pass my cursor in normal mode. What should I do? also, I can't get the sound to work on my computer in safe mode. says low right volume icon ' audio service does not "and I want it running in safe mode, until I can get this cursor problem is resolved. any help is greatly appreciated and please explain in terms laymans, because I don't know anything about computers. Thank you very much for your time and have a great day.

    Hi crazyforfrance,

As the mouse works properly in safe mode I suggest you try troubleshooting this issue with a clean boot to see if we can identify a program or driver causing the problem you are experiencing.

A clean boot to start Windows with some programs and drivers off or on selection. By doing this through trials and errors we can hopefully identify a specific cause of this problem. Here's how to solve problems with a clean boot:

    Clean clean boot.

    a. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
    The user account control permission.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type
    password, or click on continue.
    b. on the general tab, click Selective startup.
    c. under Selective startup, click to clear the load startup items.
    d. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box and then click Disable all.
    e. click OK.
    f. When you are prompted, click on restart.
    g. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved, make sure what third-party program is at the origin of the problem, referring to the link given below:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual.

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue. On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

Note: In safe mode you may not be able to hear the sound because the sound drivers and other drivers may not load and only essential drivers can handle, which are very important to run an operating system. and it's a way of diagonistic.

  • Windows 7 screen freezes, freezes mouse cursor and keyboard freezes.

    Hi all

About a month ago my internet kept cutting at about 02:00 in the afternoon - even if my BThub said it was a signal - and my internet access would not return until 05:00 sharp later that day here. This went on for about two weeks, it doesn't happen too much now, however, recently, something happens...

I have a desktop HP Pavilion s5000 and all day - every day - not only freezes my screen, if I'm online or simply type in a Word doc, but my mouse cursor and keyboard freeze too, all at once. It's as if all of the computer crashes, and the only way I can "unfreeze" it is cutting off the entire batch to the switch. In this case nothing three times a day to ten times a day. Can someone tell me what could be the problem and how I can try to solve it? I did a system restore, to restore the PC to a date earlier, I did this about five times now, but the problem persists.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Danni.

    Note:

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Important:

In case you follow ' step 7 "in the above link from HP that speaks to recover the computer to factory settings then you will need to contact HP support and we also recommend that you back up all important data to an external drive before recovery of the computer to the factory settings.

    2. D Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (include reinstalling the drivers for the touchpad).

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.

  • The mouse cursor flashes busy

    Hello world

I've just updated to the latest version of windows 10 and now, every time I enter Acrobat my mouse cursor flashes busy. The Manager of tasks shows 2 different process called Adobe RdrCEF (32 bit), a work constantly and others appearing and disappearing very quickly. If I'm quick enough to close it the problem stops, but it doesn't seem like a convenient way to solve the problem...
Any ideas what I could do?

    Thank you.

    Hi leo69,

Please try to uninstall and reinstall the application.

Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat cleaning - Adobe Labs tool cleaning tool allows to remove Acrobat, then restart your system.

Then try to reinstall the application here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution
