MultiCam cutting question

I have a multicam clip on my project schedule with 2 video and 1 audio angle. There should be a shortcut that allows me to slide the clip, then move the video angles without changing the angle of the audio. Option - Shift - 2, according to the editor command, Yes? When I try to do, all I get is a "bong" noise I tried already to rampage of preferences.

Any ideas? Thank you.

It works for me when the angle Viewer shows.

Window-> View Display-> Angles to show (or Cmd-Shift-7), then you can use the Option + shift + -(1, 2 or 3) to cut/switch audio & video, video just or just audio, respectively.

    Hi Paul,.

Once your source multicamera sequence is created, and placed it in a sequence and multicamera active mode, click the menu key of the program monitor, and select 'change the cameras '. You can rearrange and toggle camera angles as you want.

  • First 7.1 patch broke my SOURCE multi-cam surveillance :(

Hi everyone, long time listening, calling for the first time it seems the 7.1 patch introduced infuriating bug, I tried to go up and down to get around. Here's the question:

My Cinema Display from Apple Thunderbolt will monitor is no longer blocking clips in the SOURCE window. I can watch a clip of 3-camera in the SOURCE window and my external monitor displays 1 angle of camera (apparently chosen at random), and when I click on the other windows of the camera, she won't have to them. The external monitor WORKS when control of the PROGRAM window. There, all right. Real-time multicam, cut between angles, etc. etc. Which works very well.

My Manager is no longer able to watch dailies on the big screen, which paralyzes our post workflow, and annex.

Here's what I did to try to resolve the problem. None of this has worked so far:

    1. passes the CUDA, OpenCL, to only software mode.

2 downgraded my CUDA driver, then updated again to the latest version.

3 deleted my WHOLE media cache folder and let it rebuild/index everything from one day to the next.

4 deleted my files of Adobe preferences with the preferences Manager.

5 reorganized the order of the camera in the new feature "Edit cameras.

    6. my "Adobe Monitor 2:2560 x 1440" or shut down in the reading of the first preferences tab.

    7. my "Adobe Monitor 1:2560 x 1440" or shut down in the reading of the first preferences tab.

I am running OSX Mountain Lion, (not the Mavericks). This was never a problem before the 7.1 patch.

In ADDITION, the only way to get the external monitor from the angels in the SOURCE window is right-click on the clip, go to "multicam", uncheck the "Enable" BOX, then select another ahead and check AGAIN, 'enable '. Of course, it's ridiculous.

Can anyone solve this problem? Any ideas would be very welcome. Everyone applauded.

It is a known problem that was too late in the cycle of 7.1 to fix. Currently, the only solution we can offer is to play blocking sequences in the calendar/program monitor rather than the Source monitor, which we alter some workflows.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Somehow my new Apple TV 4 causes my Panasonic Plasma TV turns off every 30 to 60 minutes.

Somehow my new Apple TV 4 causes my Panasonic Plasma TV turns off every 30 to 60 minutes. I thought for sure I had capacitor problems with my TV (he is about five years old) but my wife suggested to check our new ATV4 because the problem started just after Christmas when we got the new ATV4 and the problem occurs with our ATV3. I was skeptical but I have tried to unplug the power cord on the ATV4 and to my surprise the TV cutting question disappeared, so I have to have my ATV4 unplugged when not in use and plug it in when I want to use it, a real pain in the *. If accidentally, I forgot to unplug my ATV4 after using my TV stops every 30 to 60 minutes after my ATV4 is connected and not in use. I'm at a complete loss as to what is causing this problem. For any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

ATV turns off after a certain period of time in the settings: http://help.apple.com/appletv/#/atvb7a7550e3

The ATV also has the ability to control the power of the TV via the HDMI cable, if the value.

I will try to put the ATV to sleep immediately after use, as explained above and see if the TV turns off then.

If so, go into the settings, remote controls and disable control of your home with remote control entertainment system and see if only he stops.

When the TV turns off, it is on the entry of Apple TV and the screen saver or you look at another entrance, for example, a cable?

  • MultiCam: first cut separates video and audio

I have a question about something that has bugged me for a long time.  I do a lot of editing multicamera and after the first cut of the audio and video are not related and requires that each cut is made twice - once for the video and once for audio.  It's really annoying because if you forget and move the playback cursor, so cut you is out of sync and you have to redo it.

Is it possible to keep the sequence bound to make less painful editing?

Oh, I made a wrong assumption about what you were trying to accomplish.

Since you're using A1 audio throughout, it is normal that all the video clips after the first are separated from the audio. It is at least in part because the audio track can be linked to a single video clip.

This is therefore the first two options that come to mind

    1. hold Shift while clicking on the cutting tool.
    2. Move the playback cursor where you want the cut and press SHIFT + K (Win) or Cmd + K (Mac)

In both case clips on all the tracks unlocked will be cut.

According to exactly what you are doing, you might also find that working with In/Out points and the extract of Lift & controls offer an efficient workflow.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 - Multicam is BROKEN! vs FCPX, FCP7 (Final Cut Pro), Avid, Sony Vegas

If you plan to spend in FCP7, FCPX, Avid or another edition of Premiere Pro CS6 program, there are SEVERAL good reasons to do so, HOWEVER, if you deal with the edition of several cameras (multicam) so you think twice, until this problem is resolved.

How to edit in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 multicam? What is the best program editing for mulitcam or multiple camera editing? - The answer, as long as the question below is fixed, isn't Adobe Premiere Pro! From CS6 (version 6.0.2), this lack of 'design' or the 'weirdness' described below, multicam editing is very difficult and inefficient in Premiere Pro. These first two issues above are what I searched Google in hopes of a solution to a problem plaguing Adobe Premiere Pro for years, literally. Unfortunately, in the new Premiere CS6, with so many other great innovations, the question remains still makes it very difficult to do an editing multicam compared to Final Cut Pro 7, Avid, Sony Vegas, FCPX, etc.. They all handle editing multicamera in different ways but, having recently passed away from FCP7, and has worked on several modifications mulitcam, Premiere Pro CS6 (and CS5 and CS5.5) has serious problems with the multicam function that is broken right now (version 6.0.2) in first CS6 and fact editing multicam VERY frustrating experience and a lot less effective compared to the other NLE. If it's a drawing, then its imperfect as Yes, you can work around it and difficulty about what you did, but why so you have to keep wasting time precious 'fixing' in such things? All is not supposed.

    The question:

Hit the button of the SPACEBAR or pause or stop during a multicam editing actually stop the edit, made a cut in your timeline (chronology) and then will be another camera (angle or shot), if you want only it or not!

This issue was known by Adobe for more than two years, but they push aside, call a quirk of design and ultimately avoid such question stated in this thread of attachment: http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/738084?start=0 & tstart = 0

Make cuts and put the angles on you when you simply to pause or stop playback is a huge problem of having your editing program. If this were happening in the normal timeline, so I'm guessing it would have been fixed, but it has not been fixed and it causes the editor to have to go back and remove unintended cuts and back shots where they should be. The PAUSE button should only SUSPEND or STOP playback, as it does in other programs. But in the first he stops, make a cut in your timeline and then switches to the first angle or shot you started with if you want or not. There is no way to prevent this at the moment on CS6. The other thread that talks about the question refers to the fact that the "question doesn't have the numbers" to make it a priority to be fixed and there are other "larger issues" that need to be corrected first, which makes me wonder if Adobe really listen to the comments of the user. I mean, 2 years, people complain about that and not of miracle. Their response was 'add to wish list' or ' this isn't a bug, it's a quirk, then do an requested feature"or"its designed that way." Designed like that? Who would really want it like that? No other NLE does this and for good reason. If the pause button pause just reading and that's it, do you think there would be a thread for a period of 2 years on how to hit pause "should also make an incision in the timeline and move from the shots? I doubt it. Its a defaultdesign. I feel strange asking the feature 'Please take the pause break button' or 'Please make the stop button to stop playback. Looks like its brokenness, to me.

If the robot multicam is a major objective for the team Adobe Premiere, go ahead, which I think it is, then please start by making even the basic works work as one would expect to BREAK = PAUSE. STOP = STOP. Phew! It was difficult. Fact. Fixed. Travel! Currently, this design is counterproductive, not intuitive, helps no one and only lost valuable time while the Publisher must quickly "solve" the problem.

Well, I thought I'd do two things here:

    (1) start a thread with as many keywords as possible so that this "numbers" question in this forum and in Google searches. I hope that soon when you google 'First multicam Pro' this will be the first topic on the first page. My hope is that I can put a nice 'RESOLVED' or 'FIXED' label on this thread, one day next (and I'll for sure!). If this is the case, it is a testament to the theory of wheel ran combined with a small web analytics.

    (2) do this a new thread, rather than continue in the old thread because it is time to ask a new question: how long will it take for Adobe a problem when its design is essentially broken causing users to have to do a 'fix' every time? At the moment it happens two years! This isn't a feature request... his service broken in the first. A drawing... necessary. I can't listen to Adobe and they care about certain things, but how fast they act? This is my real question.

I wonder if this thread has more "we have more important things to fix" or "is not that big of a problem" or "this isn't a problem at all, it's an oddity" or "you can just go back and correct the problem, whenever you have to stop because it takes only a few seconds' or 'its not broken its designed to be counter-productive and frustrating for users.  Time will tell. Well, if you do mulitcam changes as much as I do then these "seconds" are added. It is designed this way, and then Adobe, I ask you this question: If you hit pause on your TV remote button, and he stopped at the TV live, but also turned the volume all the way down and changed the channels... always so would you call that a quirk? It would be wise to design a remote control like that? I would say the key on your remote control does not work well and should be fixed. Yes, you could address it quickly by pressing the button "last" or "reminder" and then hit the volume up button, but shouldn't the key BREAK of your remote did exactly cela and only that: BREAK?

    Please respond... to apparently numbers.

Have you tried what a user suggested earlier in the thread? Although it takes a little getting used to, it works for me perfectly.

"Before to stop playback, press the 0 (zero) on the keyboard and then you can stop the game (with the SPACEBAR) without cutting in the timeline."

Both experience the same issue. I also tried reinstalling the bluetooth, disabling services and HARD drive protection software stack. The full format and free installation of vista. Format and install Windows 7. Without change.

  • I have a project in iMovie HD6 and want export to Final Cut Pro.  I see that it is not possible from the previous questions, but is it possible that I could maybe create a dvd of the iMovie project and then who import in Final Cut?

I have a project in iMovie HD6 and want export to Final Cut Pro.  I see that it is not possible from the previous questions, but is it possible that I could maybe create a dvd of the iMovie project and then who import in Final Cut?  I just want to make a new trailer for the project.

What you suggest is possible but it takes software and third-party quality loss.

Instead, export a QuickTIme movie. If you have a choice of codecs, choose Apple Intermediate Codec. You can save it where you want it-maybe in the movies.

Then import the movie into FCP as a clip.

    Good luck.

  • Change the camera Angel in Multicam "short cut".

Hello!  I just finished a dance performance filmed with 4 cameras.  My master multicam sequence is finished and ready to export.

    Screen Shot 2015-12-17 at 6.51.08 PM.png

As you can see above, there are a ton of cuts on the timeline between each of the 4 cameras.  The customer wants a plan just as wide.  I want the titles, credits and dissolved not to change at all.  Without hovering over each clip, y at - it a shortcut to select all the clips and with a click of the mouse. change all the angels to the camera I want?

    * I tried and highlighted every time it needed to be changed for 1 camera, right click; nothing there.  I kept had highlighted them and clicked the camera Angel, I wanted in the Viewer, only an angel that I flew over changed.  Can someone help and save me the hassle of more time?  Thank you!

    * I tried and highlighted every time it needed to be changed for 1 camera, right click; nothing there.

It should work. I can choose different, many camera angles, mixed cameras - now (Windows) shift while selecting, then right-click > popup > choose multicamera > drag on a specific camera > select - and all the selected camera angles change of 'new' selected camera

  • Question of efficiency - cutting Clips

Question of efficiency - cutting Clips.

So I was wondering if there is a better way to cut my clips that I don't use. Basically, I often have big long clips of raw footage I shot at usable segments. Every raw file can be more than an hour long and have 100s of small segments of live, often comments that I find I'm cutting some long pauses in the talk and other stuff until I have a clip ready to send to the main edition.

Anyway, often I'm zoomed in so I can change it, and I press C, will make a cut... then make another one a little further upward, press V, click the segment that I just cut... Tap on delete and then click on move the rest of the raw video to the left to get where I made the first cut, often needing to zoom in well and then insert it again to continue editing.

Is there a better way to do it? So, I did not need to zoom in and out all the time... there at - there a way to remove a piece of Visual form the sequence and have the attached automatically to 'fill the gap' for me?

    -Thank you

Shift + del will ripple delete segments.

  • CS6 question multicam

    Hello

I'm on body CS6.03 on windows 7 and have a question about multicam.

I just watched the multicam on lynda.com training section, but it leaves me with one question though.

I saw how to select the main angle, and this body would use the audio from this angle to cover the entire edition.

It's ok, but now if I have for example. make an edit in concert, where I have a separate record of the soundboard in a digital audio recorder, and I want to use this audio for the entire edition?

    How I chose this place?

    Thank you

    Ulf

After creating your multicam clip, right-click on it and select "Open in timeline."  This will open a calendar with your video tracks stacked and audio tracks are synchronized to the top.  Here, you can add in your second audio source and synchronize it with the video track.  Any audio track you with an active output (the speaker icon is on) will be the one that goes with your editing multicamera.  So, just turn off all the other audio tracks except your external audio source and hop back to your editing multicamera.  You can also do an audio editing here in this chronology - as the application of effects or adjustments to the levels - and which will be reported in your editing multicamera.
