  I have curve blackberry 9360 a few weeks ago, I've just updated OTA... I didn't notice new features but a few days ago, I was about to delete a music file (which was I copied from my computer and downloaded from free file-sharing sites) of my music player and tada , there is no way to remove them from my music library... I tried to use the file manager, but delete also went there, tried to press the "Del" key, but no luck... I am able to delete the pictures and videos, but only music is not, why is this?

  I can't remove it through my camera because the folder "music" (which is automatically created by my phone) has read-only attributes... I tried to change it in my pc by unchecking the read-only properties option, but my phone continues to set this folder read only... and so what I did is I create another folder named "music files" and put all my MP3s, so I can now remove from the file manager and music player...

  I have 2 excel files saved that I can't remove it with the phone and they are on my memory card, and I can't access it with my computer either. Anyone know how I can remove these files from my phone memory card?

  Also when using my phone to listen to music through the headset jack, I have to reset my phone in order to get a normal volume out of it, otherwise it will play half the volume to the max and decline from there. Is this a normal problem?

  I moved some MP3s to my BB and you can see them on my press card.  I can read on my phone when I go to music.  I've assigned one as a ringtone to my phone, I edited my phone settings 'normal', travelled to phone, section of the case, change option, was able to navigate my music folder on my media card, selected the file and he presents himself as the ring tone for my phone.  Made for so many 'partner' in the options of the case.   I had this problem before on my 8900... but I have the 9700 now... he had since it came out and I recently updated the operating system to 5.0.0743...official updated not leaking... now, whenever I play music or even video, and if I get a text/bbm or email... the music stops.

  Yes, I found a fix for this on crackberry.com... apparently one way to fix it by removing the battery and SIM card (if your carrier has those) then reinsert into the phone, after the restart he should stop doing that or you can put the sound profile on silent so while music plays notifications not to interrupt the music.

  Have you tried a battery pull?

  With the phone, remove the battery, wait 10 seconds, then put the battery back in and waiting for the BB start (about 5 minutes)

  Some other things to consider... are the music files in the same format (mp3 or other)?  There are a few file formats which will not read on a BB, this could have something to watch - see this Web page (select your model of BB): http://tinyurl.com/2cxqnbk  

  Also, I experienced problems with the mp3s that plays fine on my computer (Mac), but once on my BB have not played or caused some undesirable problems with my BB because they had a 'virus' incorporated in them, which has not reacted on my Mac, but it was on my BB.

  When I go to Blackberry.com on my "BOLD" there is a link that says "sync your music iTunes office with your blackberry smartphone: find out how.

  When I get the link to download on my PC for the media sync... It does not seem to do anything.

  Anyone who has tried this and got positive results?

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '.   About a 2 months ago when I would like to connect my (the first storm) blackberry storm to my computer via the USB cable supplied with the phone, I was able to transfer music from my computer (itunes) to the blackberry via Blackberry Media Sync with no problems (open Blackberry Media Sync, connect blackberry to the computer via the USB port and screen Media Sync would change so that I could sync to the blackberry storm music). I didn't even have to install Blackberry Media Sync in December 2009

  But now after I connect my Blackberry Storm to my computer, the screen of Blackberry Media Sync does not change and continues to display "please connect a Blackberry smartphone. I tried these tips I found online:

  1.) several reboots my computer (windows vista)

  2.) update/reinstall Blackberry Media Sync, then by restarting my computer

  3.) reconnection from blackberry to the computer, then open Media Sync

  5.) installation BlackBerry USB and Modem drivers (even if I can't find the USB driver for it under the Universal Serial Bus Controller when I check in the Device Manager when you go to control panel – system and Maintenance – Manager of devices, but I found a v2 COM4 and COM5 RIM virtual serial Port when you select "devices by connection" under display in Device Manager) or are RIM Serial Port virtual v2 COM4 and COM5 drivers I'm looking for?

  Too bad. I went to a Verizon store and they me remove the battery and turn the blackberry. Worked like a charm and I can now use Media Sync.

  Also told me that I need to update the software of the phone blackberry using Blackberry Desktop software (I have version 4 and need to update to 5) and make sure to choose to back up files when you are prompted during the update or you will lose all files, the media and info saved on blackberry.

  Okay so I recently bought a blackberry 9800 torch of my friend, its not in poor condition but it has a few scratches on it. the phone also worked well for her.

  This morning, installed an app to rename my files of music, called MTagz or something like that

  Given what you describe, I think that is better to a clean OS reload. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

  2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

  • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

  5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:
