  Step 1: uninstall previous versions of Flash Player

  Hello

  You will not be able to circumvent the password that appears before the execution of actions (installing a new program) in a non administrator account.  If you are logged on as administrator, and again, you get the command prompt, you can disable UAC (User Account Control) to stop the password dialog window.

  However, as a work around you can right-click on the installation of the program files and select run as administrator. Check if this is useful.

  If the hardware comes with a driver and it's plug - and - play. then install driver first and then plug unit in.  If the device under says that the driver is included in Windows, it connect while your PC is off, start the PC and let Windows detect it.  It should install the correct driver and the device configuration.

  Why not add the commands above to the file etc/rc.d/rc.local. It will take a cae of the rest every time that you restart your virtual machine. I hope this helps...

The other computer works fine.  It is a HP Pavilion, Windows 7 Home Premium system.

  Computer was off all night. Turned on this morning and the system works now.  I rebooted the system, at least six times last night with no result. I don't know what was different this morning, but everything seems to work.  So if it's not broken I will not try to fix it.  Thanks for posting. Dan
