MX300 g2

Someone has set up a unit of video of g2 MX300 with two screens? The second screen, we want to use is a samsung flat screen tv?  Our Organization has a unit of video double screen, but in the TMS, it is saved as a "double profile 52/55".  I'm going to need another license or is it as simple as connect a HDMI cable from the camcorder to the TV? The second screen will not for sharing presentations.

It's as simple as connecting an HDMI cable to the video output.  The MX300 G2 should start to use the second screen it, when you try to send the content of the presentation, but you may need to change the following settings in the G2 MX300 yourself if it is not.

Congiuration video monitors: DualPresentationOnly

With respect to MSDS, no matter in this respect, but what TMS version do you use?

  • How to record a video on MX300

I use Mx300 for Visio-Conference, but I don't know how to record a video on this device

    My scenario:

-Record (720-1080) HD video with sound

-Save this video on my laptop that connect with Mx300

I thank all of you for your time,

    The Vuong

You are not able to connect with your laptop and use the camera and the microphone of the endpoint to record a video, it does not work like that and is not capable of it, as the endpoint is used for the purpose to have video-conferences.

Besides TCS, you can use WebEx Meeting Center and CMR Cloud with the MX300 to record a video and save it on your computer.

  • MX300 G2 license

    Dear all,

    We have MX300 G1 and now we're pimping MX300 G2.

Since then, I'm not familiar with telepresence and want to understand what provider quote for?

Attached are the quotes for the (old) G1 & G2 (latest). Please compare and confirm that G2 has all necessary permissions as G1.

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards

The G2 MX300 data sheet will contain details of what will be waiting for, such as:

    • MX300 55 Gen 2
    • PrecisionHDMC 1080 p 8 x
    • Touch 10
    • Table microphone 20
    • Multisite (embedded MCU)
  • MX300 autonomous of endpoint

Small question, the MX300, can of this endpoint make/receive calls without being registered to CUCM or VCS?

    Hi Ben,

You can make calls using H323 without having to register endpoint to any specific call control. H323 mode must be set to "Direct".

Best practices in this type of deployment, to make external calls is to configure a static NAT device for the endpoint and the NAT address is entered in the field attached to the endpoint.

There are risks acossiated by that, make sure you that have a secure password strict about to endpoint and also beaware that you may be inclined to "test calls. These can be very frustrating for end users.

  • SX20, MX300 and Cisco C90 multisite functionality

    Hi all

Someone has information on how to Install Licenses Multisite L-C90-MS, LIC-MX300-MS and MS-SX20-LIC?  These is installed directly in the codec? what procedure?

    Thank you very much!!

    Mario,

This is the option buttons that you add directly to the codec. Just go to maintenance > upgrade and paste the option key pressed in the key field of the option. This usually requires a restart when completed.

  • MX300 CUCM 8.6.2 press

    Hello

MX300 is not listed in CUCM worm 8.6.2

I think that device pack required in order to support this devices.

Suppose that if I install the devices 'cmterm - devicepack8.6.2.23047 - 1.cop.sgn' pack or a later version.

It upgrades all other phones firmware load.

Problem is, we do not want to update other firmware of phone models. We want to just add pack devices for MX300

Is a feature available to the cisco site or TAC pack for only MX300?

Also, if I add any pack of devices for the new management device, and then restart the cluster is mandatory?

MX300 is runing worm TC 5.x

    Suggest pls.

    Thank you

    Rgds

    Rajesh Kumar

    Renon,

What is the exact version of CUCM you use? The Quick reference guide documents that you are forced to use pack if you are under 8.6.2.21020. You have to restart each server in the cluster (after having installed the device on each pack) in order for the MX300s to be able to join the group later. There is no other way that I know that wouldn't give you MX300 support such as a package only for the MX300, in addition to the upgrade of CUCM himself.

Regarding loads default phone which should be upgraded, the 8.6.2 release notes pack devices say in the uninstall instructions even if you can't remove the pack, you can reset loads of phone by default to their initial values. Also, you should be able to manually set loads of individual phone on every profile of the unit to keep him from using the default value, if it is feasible.

  • Ability to create the ad hoc Conference of the web interface of MX300 or SX20?

    Account for remote testing.

Assuming that everything is configured correctly, is it possible to invoke an ad hoc conference of the web interface of the CODEC.

I can place and receive calls from the web page, place a call 2 and the first is pending.

I don't see a way to conference together.

What I have to be sitting at the touch-10 and press the 'Add' button to achieve this?

As far as I KNOW, is not a way to "remote control", as the touchscreen as you can on an IP handset (series 79xx example using view phone or application of single wire)

It is possible to do it via SSH, the codec CLI interface, see dial the xCommand starting from the pg 83.  I could not find a guide to the API for the MX300, but orders should be the same throughout all TC software codecs, if according to the codec and it's capabilities, some commands may be different.

    Hello

Unfortunately, this feature is not available yet, this is why you can't find any document or a page to download the app.

Cisco's coming out of this feature. As it is a public forum, I cannot share the ETA for this feature. Therefore, I suggest you contact your local Cisco representative to get more information when this new feature will be available.

    I hope this helps.

I have a challenge connecting the MX300 to my CUCM internally. I have reset everything so that it can work but seems his didn't help not, I downloaded the CA certificate and information network, but it keeps saying "Mistake of commissioning", in one case he said he could not fing external administrator and then after reset now it says something to the effect he can not connect or retrieve the details of the cucm.

I don't know what it means and there seems to be very little documentation on the error and how to solve them. I also ran a capture of packets to see if it would help what anyone and it seemed that it was giving a HTTP 404 error

  • Cisco MX200/MX300 & screen tactile EX90 and Crestron

Does anyone know if they can control these units using a Crestron touchscreen?   I know the other c40/c60 c90, codecs, can be controlled via a screen touch crestron, but not sure about these.

I ask because we put 8 of these units in conference rooms that already have a Crestron in them and want to use only one of the panels rather than having the two sat on the table.

    Kind regards

    CJ

    Hello

First of all, I want to mention that even if you try to use the Touch panels, it wouldn't work. The reason being that when Cisco Touch Panel is connected, it takes control of the OSD and it is not possible to control using other interfaces. I recommend that you use only the Crestron.

Come to the second part. In Ex90, there is a maintenance RJ45 port at the bottom that can be used to combat it. If you can get the cable for RJ45 connected on Ex90 to one end of the cable and the other end to Crestron, I think you should be able to achieve the desired results.

For the MX series, there is a serial port, allowing you to control the device, so I think you can plugin the Crestron using the serial port and you should be able to send commands to it and control it. However, keep in mind that if the Cisco button panel is connected, you could face questions by using the Crestron. For your reference, you will find the parameters of the serial port on the Mx series below:

    SerialPort Mode

Set the COM 1 serial port to be enabled/disabled.

    Requires the user role: ADMIN

    Value space:

On: Enable the serial port COM 1.

OFF: Disables the serial port COM 1.

    Example: SerialPort Mode: on

    SerialPort BaudRate

Specify the speed of transmission (data transmission rate, bits per second) for the COM 1 port on the codec.

    The default is 38400.

Connection of the COM port settings: data bits: 8; Parity: None; Stop bits: 1; Flow control:

    None.

    Requires the user role: ADMIN

    Value space:<9600 9200/38400/57600/115200="">

Range: Select a baud rate listed baud rate (bps).

    Example: SerialPort BaudRate: 38400
