My CD/DVD stopped working Optiarc DVD RW AD-SCSI 75805

When I bought my laptop, he worked all of a sudden it does not read the DVD.  It runs like it is reading then it make workstation go no answer.  I tried Devil driver and reinstall it and it didn't work.  Now all of a sudden my computer without warning, it will just turn off.

I don't know if the two have something in common, but I am ready to throw my laptop out the window...

HELP PLEASE

Hello

Step 1: Please make all underneath the same if you've done it before as it's often the total of the process which
solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)

  • Equium A210 - after that set BIOS to update the DVD player has stopped working

Hi, since I have recently updated my BIOS, my DVD drive has stopped working on my Equium A210-1AS with Vista 32 bit.

I tried the program fixme Microsoft who does not work, upper and lower register isn't here ether in regedit.
Someone at - it solutions for getting the DVD drive working again?

    Thank you

    Hello!

The CD/DVD drive is listed in Device Manager? You see an error code?
If the drive is listed in Device Manager, you should try to remove it, and then restart the laptop.

Try to load the default settings in the BIOS.

Have you tried to remove the upper and lower filters by yourself? Here is the solution from Microsoft:

When I try to open the DVD player, it is said: "Toshiba DVD has stopped working. Try to find the solution for this program. »

It was working before. I watched 3 movies on it and then simply collapsed without known reason.

Do not want to reinstall if not necessary.

    Hello

    > Don't want to reinstall if not necessary.
I m not very well why the software doesn't work anymore, but I think that it s advisable to reinstall.
You must first remove the old software (reader Toshiba).
Then you need to download the most recent version of the page of the European driver Toshiba DVD player and needs to be reinstalled it.

    Check it out!

  • Qosmio G30 - DVD-ROM drive has stopped working

I have a Qosmio G30 age of 3 years and the DVD - ROM drive has stopped working.

He still pulls in, but it will not read or burn discs.

I received a quote of £360 Toshiba to adapt to a new one that seems generous.

Anyone know where I could get it fixed cheaper than you?
Or better yet... anyone know where I can I get it fixed?

    David Hutchinson

    Hello
This is not an answer to your question but can solve the problem if it is the same that I had.
In my case, the drive tries to spin but it slips. Only the motor shaft rotates and the drive remains at low revolutions that were not even stationary.
The problem was caused by the fact that the plastic part (black color) of the mechanism which engages the disc (CD or DVD) slips on the
motor drive, axle and th couldn't do a full rotation or runs at the specified speed.
The solution is to delete the article in plastic and put a small amount of super glue on the axle and then put it back.

Where there is a similar issue, I hope that solve you it like I did.

  • Cannot use DVD BD Player: WIN DVD MFC application has stopped working

Tried to install my old version of WinDVD and failed and in the process perhaps accidentally deleted a file,
now every time I try and use DVD BD drive I get the following message:

"WIN DVD MFC application has stopped working"

I tried to use restore point, but still get it, can anyone advise please?

It will be interesting to know what model of laptop you have.
Anyway, in my opinion, there is a software conflict. I guess players use even modules or plug-ins, and there is a conflict.

I put t know what solution can be, but maybe you should remove both players, restart your laptop and make own BD drive in the hope that it will work properly.

  • Satellite P300-156: CD/DVD player has stopped working

    Hi people,

I have a P300-156 and since I bought it, I had a problem with the DVD recorder... ok I know I should take that back!

Sometimes when I press the eject button, that nothing is happening outside the orange light flashes and continues to blink. When this happens that I lose the drive in my computer and the only way to make it work again is to restart the laptop.

Usually, it works when I reboot then stops working, but it doesn't also sometimes from the restart.

    Someone at - it ideas.

    Thank you

    Dan

    Hello!

Have you looked on the Toshiba site for an update of the firmware? Search on the Toshiba site for an update, maybe this will solve your problem.
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

However, I think it could also be a hardware problem that your drive is defective. Then I'd go to a local ASP. A technician can check your laptop.

  • What can I do this message-"Toshiba DVD Player has stopped working"

    Hello

My DVD drive used for good work... and then I installed iTunes.
He then worked for a while, but only by using "Run as Administrator".

After a few weeks I started getting the message "Toshiba DVD Player has stopped working".

I uninstalled iTunes - and uninstalled and then re-installed DVD player - but it still doesn't work!
    Any solution please?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Ms. Q_reeus

My solution is to remove a Toshiba DVD drive and install VLC player. You can get it for free.
It can play all video formats, and you don't need additional codecs.

Toshiba Satellite A100 on Vista operating.
CD/DVD drive has stopped working and shows it as being disabled. Tried to re - activate but the error code 22. Can anyone help?

    Hello

The Microsoft page provides information about error code 22

    * This device is disabled. (Code 22) *.
    _Recommended resolution_
+ Activate the device using Device Manager. +
+ In Device Manager, click Action, and then select device. Starts the Enable Device Wizard. Follow the instructions. +

Looks like you have already tired it. Well, in your case I would recommend removal of the CD/DVD drive from the list of devices in Device Manager. Mark simply the unit a press to remove.

Then, restart the computer and check what is happening.
