    Hello

No saving necessary data and re-installing Windows Vista might be the best option, but here
    are a few others.

You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or other USB drives.
Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.

Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

A method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is CTRL +.

  • My Mac mini end of 2012 does not start: stuck at the total black screen

    Thus,.

I tried to install Windows 8 with bootcamp using a USB key. It did not work ("" can not do a new partition on this disk or some * like that "") but this, I'm sure that has not affected my install OS X, I've never been format the Bootcamp partition.

So, I leave the Windows installation program, reboot and remove the USB key. Now, I get the black screen that OSX shows when it has no OS, giving me the impression that he wiped / corrupted installation.

    Very well...

But there is a twist. I can not hold option to join the boot device selector, nor can I press CMD + R or retrieve internet. Metal target does not work. I have reset the NVRAM successfully a few times, but it start always black.

I am using a wired keyboard and mouse. I tried to use external SuperDrive with a CD player. As well as USB. I'm lost and I'm an experienced technician, and I admit that I am an iSheep. Then Yes.

    Thank you.

(And I didn't get any update of third party other than an SSD, which worked well for centuries)

EDIT: and I reset the SMC EDIT 2: I know also that this probably isn't a hardware problem, I am positive my OS X install and the OS X recovery partition are corrupt. I don't understand why I can't hold option, and I don't understand why the recovery of the internet does not work when you have no recovery partition. Wilma Jean,
Thanks for posting in the Microsoft answers Forum.  The first thing you need to check is that your PC is set to boot from the CD.  The boot order is set in the BIOS and check the PC manufacturer for instructions on how to change it.  Once you are ready to start from the CD drive first, and then boot from the XP CD in Recovery Console.  This link explains how to start the recovery console: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307654#3

Once you start the recovery console, I would say the following two commands (links after the controls give explanations\instruction thereon) running.

Chkdsk /r http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265 (the instructions explain running cmd on the start menu, you will not need to do this step)

  • You can save a broken computer? My computer does NOT start after the blue hp screen.

In the past months, my computer has been the object of a freezing randomly, and Ctrl + Alt + Delete does not work. I stopped him via the power button. Sometimes, when I start it again, the computer moniter shows nothing but a black screen and the computer sounds different when it starts normally. When this happens, I turn it off again hit the left side of the desktop and turn on again. Whenever I do this, the computer starts normally, and I go on the computer use.

Yesterday morning, after a break of 2 days, acess my computer and it is random freezing thing once again. I force close down as one normally do, and the computer does not start and displays the same black screen and the same fan/air weird sound. I stopped him and I hit the side RIGHT this time, I think and when I turn on the computer, the usual blue HP screen appears with the establishment, boot, diagnostics and system recovery things. HOWEVER, after this screen, a black screen will appear with this weird blue symbol on the upper left corner, I have never seen this and it looks like a circle with a triangle and a Pentagon below and it remains essentially on this screen forever. When I try to hit the establishment, boot, diagnostics and the shortcuts to system recovery, on the lower left side of the screen, it says "Menu boot loading...". ' or whatever the shortcut of loading represents, but nothing ever happens. When I press the other keys, this tapping noise comes from the computer at each tap of the keyboard.

I have no idea what to do, and at this point, my first priority is to save important files on the computer. Does anyone know what is the problem? I want her more than a problem of system rather than a virus problem because refusing the boot black screen thing lasts for years. My computer is 3-4 years. I enclose a sketch of what looks like the weird symbol.

    MY COMPUTER WORKS NOW!

With the flash drive, I was able to access the BIOS, which before, I couldn't.

Eventually my computer was in some strange sort of lockdown setting, I switched it back to activate and now its work! I remember save important things in the future. Thank you very much for your help!

  • When the Admin sign on the office comes to the top, but after that the computer does not respond when the user tries to do anything. There are actually turns off the computer with the power button.

    Original title: user profile

My administrator user profile does not work properly, but I have a user profile that has activated the parental control that worked well for about a year and yesterday when this user logs on the desktop comes up, but after that the computer does not respond when that user tries to do anything. There are actually turns off the computer with the power button.  I ran a virus scan and spyware scan in my user admin profile and he has not found anything.  I don't know what to check.

    Hello rhunter15,

There may be a program to interfere with Parental controls so that we can try a few things to see if we can determine the application or program that is causing problems.

First of all, we run System File Checker to see if you have a corrupt file system.

    • Click Start
    • Click on all programs
    • Click Accessories, and then right-click on the command prompt.
    • Select the Security tab and choose "Run as Administrator"
    • Click on command prompt
    • Type SFC/scannow.

It will scan and repair any damaged operating system files.

To determine if there is a program because of a conflict, we recommend that you perform a "clean boot" of the computer. A clean boot is designed to disable programs and services in the background as much as possible. This helps determine which service or program can be the cause of the problem.  For more information about how to perform a clean boot for troubleshooting, click the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

KB 929135 - how to solve a problem of performaing a clean boot in Windows Vista.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Once you have finished the clean boot, check again and see if you get the error of parental control.

If please post again and let us know if that helped pinpoint the problem or if you still need help.

    original title: AiOSoftwareNPI

I'm having a problem with a software AiOSoftwareNPI problem (* .ms) the Setup program does not start when I start my computer.

I know it's a Windows Installer but I don't have a disc with this route. I even tried to reinstall the windows xp disk and it does not work, I still

get the same box when I shutdown and restart. The box allows me not to leave him continues to appear.

    Thank you

    Ms. C

After doing a Google search for AiOSoftwareNPI and followed by the reading of many different threads in various forums, I found that it is for drivers for an HP all-in-One printer.

    You have an HP printer?

If so, the usual suggestion was to place your HP printer disk in your CD/DVD drive and restart. After reboot would be installed the necessary files and the pop - up would more appear at startup. I don't know if it will actually work because in all the discussions I've read, none of the original poster never responded by saying that it worked or not.

The next most common suggest was to download the latest driver for your HP printer to your version of Windows (including at the level of the ILO) and install it. Yet, not a single original poster has responded.

In fact, if you have an HP printer I suggest to visit the web site of HP support below the link to get the latest drivers and their installation. Visit the support for the correct installation method and if you need to remove the old driver first. You can also visit the communities of Support HP for assistance (a link for communities is also on the next page).

  • Computer does not start after the screen of the bios, Compaq Presario SR1023WM

Ok. Trying to fix a friend's computer and seem to have met a strange barrier.

Problem: The computer does not start after the bios screen.

Details: When you turn on the computer, the compaq logo with intel inside is and has the < F1 Setup > and < F10 System Recovery > options listed as well.  And that's it as far as the computer becomes.  After that the computer just locked up, no work of buttons on the keyboard lights keyboard ect ect.  I tried the puree on the F1 key, as soon as I turn on the computer and I can handle so he can say * entering setup * but it freezes again after this point.  I already tried to eliminate the possible sources of the problem, removed all expansion cards, HDD and Dvd Rom module only disconnected, only memory (256 MB ddr 2700), power, vga and keyboard connected.  Ive also used the jumper on the motherboard to clear the cmos, hoping that would solve the problem without success.  I tried using a different memory stick and different memory as well...  Tried to use both a ps2 and a usb keyboard... Ive even tried pulling the rider for the protection of the bios password (even if she did not have a password on it, just try everything I can think of).

The installed bios version is 3.1, and that's all that I know on the computer at this point, except that the website tells me to him.
