my laptop Windows 8 does not illuminate

Hi, I have problems turning on my PC Toshiba laptop wibdows 8. I loaded for about an hour and tried to turn it on, but that has not worked. The battery does indeed pay when I plug in the adapter, but the laptop itself still does not even turn on when I press the power button. Can someone help me with this you problem?

Hello Valelow,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.

As described in the question, I understand you have a problem with turn your PC laptop Toshiba in Windows 8.

I understand that it must be very frustrating when all of a sudden your computer power not on. However, we will work to get this problem solved with our combined efforts. If there is something related to Windows, we will certainly address this problem.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

  1. You see any signal or any beep code when you press the power button?
  2. Have you checked out the battery and start the computer while the computer connected directly to the power?
  3. Off the computer is correctly the last time?

Especially this kind of problems appears due to the failure of the part, but sometimes it can also be caused due to static electric lock. We can try to change the time to flee or be able to release the static power and check if that helps.

It's actually a very simple step that usually solves problems such as issues of power no. and blank screens.

  1. Remove the battery and then disconnect the connected AC adapter.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, then release.
  3. Reinsert the battery and then reconnect the AC adapter.
  4. Turn on the computer.

If the problem persists, I suggest you obtain a diagnosis of material performed on the computer from the computer manufacturer or store local tech.

Hope this information is useful. Please let us know the results. Do not hesitate to write back for any further assistance with Windows, we will be happy to help you.

What other security programs you have running? Many as MSE, Norton, McAfee, AVG, etc., will stop Windows Defender because they have the same functionality, and having two programs running at the same time and make security the same work can lead to conflicts. This is by design and must be accepted by the user.

  • surcurity essentials does not start, and the windows firewall does not illuminate

    Hello

I have a problem, he seems to have had a virus on my pc. Essentials of security does not illuminate and the windows firewall will not also turn on, I tried to use the tool to "fix" windows and it doesn't solve the problem.

the original virus seemed to rename its self as a program existing and renamed the oringinal by a space in the name, for example "adobearm.exe" became "adobearm .exe" there is a space before the dot.

The virus called his free adobearm.exe icon because it is a yellow / orange with a letter H, at the Center

different file name her seemed to be part of the virus included "ag7yl5x8.exe".

If you tried to close them in the task manager that they just either came back or a different file name would appear in the list.

I also couldn't do a windows update, but I think as the tool to 'fix' as cured this problem.

    Can someone help me please.

  • Windows Vista does not illuminate

    Hello

My computer does not illuminate. I have a Dell XPS M1530 with Windows Vista. The problem started yesterday when I left my computer unplugged. When I got home, the screen was blank and I just assumed it was gone to sleep. I pressed the power button and the power light turned on for a brief moment, and then turns off again. Then I turned off the computer by pressing the power button. When I tried to turn on the computer again, the lights on top of my computer, such as A / V controls, enlightened to the mode of the normal sequence, the player makes the usual click and the power button lights up for a short while before leaving. The computer turns on then with the fan running and the little power on the front (not the power indicator main on top), but light a screen empty. Thanks to all this, the screen remains empty, including turning point works manually.

By pressing the power button when the computer is turned on gives the same result as the first time, where the main power light on the power button lights up briefly, then turns off again without result. Pressing F8 when starting the computer also does not work. I don't know how I'm supposed to solve this problem, the screen never showed any activity during all this. Help please!

I should note that when I turn on the computer, it would seem she's asleep sleep and rest, as the little light on the front of the computer and the fan turns slightly, while the power led is off.

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

It seems you might have a hardware failure, as nothing is displayed on your screen at any time after power on.

If under warranty, contact the manufacturer of your computer.

If not under warranty, contact a local and trusted computer repair Shop (not a type of chain stores to the repair facility).

    Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    Hi robestes3,

    1. When did you start to question?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    Method 1:

First of all, you can tryLast good known Configuration and check if helps solve the problem.

    Check out the link:

How to start your computer by using last good known Windows XP Configuration

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307852

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

If the above method does not work, then you can try to start in safe mode and check if the problem occurs.

Check out the link for more information on starting your computer in SafeMode below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Step 2:

If you can boot into safe mode without any problem, and then try to perform a clean boot. A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

If your problem is resolved after the clean boot, and then follow the steps mentioned in the article above to refine the exact source:

In addition, after you resolve the problem, see the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Computer HP laptop window vista does not load please help

someone asked this question and I have the same problem!

I have a laptop HP who have dirtied pre-installed Vista and for some reason after installing automatically 3 updates the other day, he is not now charge up. The laptop is plugged in so it can configure 3 updates without failure (due to something like battery dying).

When the laptop turns on, it gives me two options:
    • Start the reboot system (recommended)
    • Start Windows normally
If I click on 'Launch Startup Repair', he comes back to do the same screen with them two options and when I click on "Start Windows normally", the laptop everything restarts and then return to this screen.
Thus, F8-ing it does not help either - it gives me options like computer repair, Mode safe mode, last known good, etc... but none of these helped either.
I looked around online for a solution, but most say on the use of the Vista installation CD, but the operating system is installed on a partition on the laptop (also there are files on what I would come down)... However I do not know if I can get it to boot on the installation partition either
    I tried F8, F11, F12 and nothing works

If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
