My officejet 4500 wireless keeps stopping when I turn it on

When I turn on my officejet 4500 wireless it starts to warm up and then stops.

This could be a problem with the power supply for this printer. Check the steps in the document located here, for the procedure to troubleshoot a 4500 which won't turn on.

I hope this helps.

• Cannot print to HP Officejet 4500 wireless

I have a HP Officejet 4500 wireless printer I have ever managed to get print wireless. It connects to my wireless very well, but when I install the device driver and go through the steps of setting up on my computer it always stops with this message:
Your computer is unable to communicate with your printer to 192.168.0.21. This can be the result of firewall software. If you use firewall software, make sure that the 427 UDP port is unlocked for the incoming and outgoing traffic.
Your PC cannot communicate with your printer at the address of 192.168.0.21. Check all cable connections. Make sure the printer and the PC and the router are powered on and connected to the network.

My PC is a HP ENVY Phoenix h9-1360ea with windows 8.1 desktop computer (he has never worked with either 8.0). I have it connected to my network wirelessy and via ethernet. Neither work.

So far I have tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Software Download Center. The file I downloaded is OJ_AIO_4500_G510n-z_Full_Win_WW_140_408. I installed this as administrator
Disable my smart firewall from Norton Internet Security. I also added the printer to the network card.
Adding a rule to my Netgear DG834GT router firewall to allow inbound and outbound on port 427 UDP traffic.

SE based on what comes to express, the material can work. However, the software / firmware does not work correctly.

• My HP Officejet 4500 Wireless - terrible noise already cleaned &! Watch

OfficeJet 4500 wireless suddenly started making a terrible noise when the print heads move all the way to the right. I already tried cleaning recommended for printing of noise and it made no difference. In addition, the! comes with the green light. No recent changes, not even the change of ink before it happened. Printer is 1 year and 4 months old, and he gets a lot of use. Previously, cleaning take care of a situation of noise a few months ago.

The fix for mine was to clean the Ribbon carrier.

Just behind the cart silver bar cartridges of travel you will see a transparent plastic strip which extends from one side to the other of the printer.

Very gently, after power off and unplug the printer, use a lint cloth soaked cotton to some the face of Ribbon pure isopropyl alcohol, be very careful not to remove both ends of the PIN anchor who support it.

Move the carriage of ink needs but focus mainly on the right side, as this seems to be where he gets the transport indexes brands of.

Worked for me..... no grinding sounds like plastic gears were about to tear. Hope this works for you.

• Problems of mismatch paper HP Officejet 4500 Wireless

Hey! I really hope you can help! I have a HP Officejet 4500 Wireless printer connected via my router wireless running on Windows Vista and it will not copy correctly. When I put something on the glass to copy, it says "Error" wrong paper size. Load different media or change the copy paper size settings. "Even using the solution Center HP did not help. When I used the solution Center, the only printed on 1/4 of the book. I'm so frustrated by that and I can't fix it!

Hey Zaysmom. There are a few different reasons this can happen. First, insert a new stack of paper in the paper tray. If she printer identifies an incorrect paper size or no paper at all, it can cause this message. This only happens when scanning?

Try to run the doctor printing & scanning HP to see if it is able to solve your problem. If it does not solve the problem, post back with new details and will continue from there.

Thank you!

Hello

Method 1:

I suggest you to go through the steps in the link and check it out.

Install a printer

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/install-a-printer

Method 2:

Disable the firewall and check.

The Windows Firewall is enabled by default in this version of Windows. To make sure that it has not been disabled, follow these steps:

a. open the Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type firewall and then click Windows Firewall.

b. in the left pane, click turn on or off Windows Firewall. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

c. under each network location type, click on disable Windows Firewall and then click OK. We recommend that you turn on the firewall for all network location types.

For more information, visit the following link:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Understanding-Windows-Firewall-settings

Important: Don't forget to turn on the firewall once the diagnosis is made.

Method 3:

NETWORK PRINTING CONFIGURATION PAGE

a. Press setup, then scroll to the bottom and look for network.
b. press OK on the network, it will give you the first option 'display network settings '.
c. press OK on it, and it will give you the first option "print network configuration page."
d. choose who and press OK. It will display the network configuration page. This document, you will be able to see the IP address of the printer

Print a network configuration page and note the IP address of the printer.

a. now open the printer folder and check the icon of the printer with a checkmark on it, and the bed ready state.
b. right-click on the printer icon and select Properties.
c. select ports tab and click on configure port and enter the same IP address and try to print that would settle the matter.

• OfficeJet 4500 Wireless - MacBook it installs with USB, but can't find it on the network

Help! I just bought a new MacBook (OS 10.6.4) and try to use the HP Officejet 4500 Wireless with it. I bought the printer a month or two ago and it has been implemented on my wireless (a Netgear - WNR2000 router) and works very well with my old iBook G4 and the Windows PC at home. My new MacBook is connected to the fine of the Internet, but when I went to use the printer, it seems to install ok, make settings IP etc. of the printer on the network, but it's not far past. He says that the printer is "unreachable" or some such nonsense and refuses to see it on the network. I tried both with and without the CD installation, and after you have uninstalled the software HP to uninstall and reinstall in the system of preferences--> Print and Fax settings. But he only sees the printer if I connect it with USB, which goes against the reason for which I bought it.

I ran the software update and it has found a new version of the software to download to the printer when connected via USB. But there seems to be no way to convince him to find the printer on our network wireless

Any ideas?

Wow - I solved the problem. How ridiculous of a solution is that?

I saw a mention on another Board need to have a SSID for the network of less than 6 characters/letters to get the Mac to work with some other printer/router configuration.

So I tried here - since I had a network SSID of 7 letters.

(1) I went in my screen to config the router and changed my SSID to one that was only four letters. I also took the static IP address for the printer, I had just set up (so for those of you watching at home, ignore my comment on this tactic, it was a herring!) leave the settings as they were before I ate with it.

(2) I then restarted the router, the computer and the printer.

(3) I first put in place the new SSID on Mac (change the SSID of the router to the old password only left, so it was just a matter of returning the password on Mac, when it entered into the 'new' network). I checked this by seeing in screen config the router if the Netgear now he showed in his list of connected devices (it wasn't before, and I was suspicious that he was some other weird problem, if the Mac has used the Internet very well). He did it!

(4) then I used the front panel of the printer to go into Options--> Menu Wireless--> Setup Wizard and configure the printer again on the new name of the network SSID. Then I went to the Options--> Print the report--> Config network. It would therefore be to print a page giving the State of the connection confirming that it was the network.

(5) then I went back for the Mac and use it again the screen of the router config I confirmed that now the printer was also showing up on top of the screen of connected devices (it wasn't before, now she and Mac have been listed!). Then I opened system--> print and fax preferences and tried to add the printer again. This time he finds immediately on the network (using the so-called Hello?), and since I already had the software update (using the steps suggested above) that she already had the correct printer software to use. Wireless printing fine now... After all this noise.

So, apparently, PrintDoc, you need to add a small little by this spiel you gave me above - to install a printer wireless on a new Mac with a working wireless network (at least one with a Netgear WNR2000 router), the SSID of the network should really be only a couple of long letters (4A worked in this case but not 7). Why, I have no idea. Ridiculous, like I said.

Thanks anyway.

I hope this discovery helps someone else too!
