  There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

  One:

  • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.

Mail folder on the screen is supposed to reflect the new messages (by image) I would appreciate it.  The only icon I've ever seen is at the top of the screen (the area where will your voicemail icon, etc.).

  I have a yahoo email that I rarely use so I had never even added it to my BB. But I just added so I could see what you see and possibly try to help. When I added the email I got the same icon you described. It's an envelope with the purple Y! This overlap. I myself sent a test email. The phone vibrates and I got a notification at the top of my screen that I get for all emails, but unfortunately, the icon remained unchanged which is quite annoying actually because it distinguishes only the folder that contains the new message.   Question

  My "BOLD" shows constantly that I have new messages from BlackBerry Messenger on my homescreen. I closed all my messages and it will not disappear. I tried to send a message to each of my (very annoying) contacts so I could individually close (thinking maybe something went wrong shot when I aired before a message). This problem started a week after I got my phone and two BlackBerrys previous I had done the same thing. Over time the number will continue to increase (with my last phone, I got 138 messages at any given time). The icon still works when I get actually it will only increase the number of new messages.

  

  See if you look at the top of the screen, will see you to it shows that I have 5 BBM messages, however I have no open-ended conversations. Please help me solve this problem.

  It is a relatively old version of OS.  I recommend you update to the latest.  Don't worry the wipe and restore.  Going to happen during the upgrade of the OS.  Here is a link with instructions and download.

  I currently have a bb curve 9320.  I changed for sony xperiea and need to get the data across.

  Sony told me that I should contact Blackberry to find out how you can save the handset so that the file is not encrypted so it can then be forwarded to your mobile Xperia.  Didn't know that my backup of data have been encrypted.

  2. you cannot transfer your sms, emails or other accounts...
