My Photosmart 5520 will not connect on my laptop after I updated to Windows 8. 1

Hello, I stress a lot because my printer connect via wifi. I started University last week and I'm going to use my printer almost every day when I start getting homework and what not. The problem started when I upgraded my Sony Vaio Windows 8.1 since that day I couldn't get my printer to work. I really DIND'T pay much attention because I was on vacation and I had no use for it, but now I need more than ever. I had tried all the solutions desconecting and tries to connect but I have no chance. 'The printer could not connect to the network' this is the error I get.

When you upgraded to Win 8.1 you would update the software and drivers to Win 8.1?

  • Photosmart 6525 will not connect to the internet to get updates day & ePrint. Test page shows connected. ??

    Trying to install my photosmart 6525. It works wirelessly to my computer desktop & laptop but when I try to open ePrint it wants to check updates and reports that it cannot connect. That is what it is?

    The wireless report Test results show all "TRANSMIT" and shows 'connected' to the internet.

    I would first disconnect the router and the printer for about 1 minute. I would plug the router first then the printer. I would then try to enable web services. If not successful, then proceed as follows.

    1 obtain the IP address of your printer
    a. This can be done by pressing the icon on the printer wireless.
    2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
    3. Select the tab network at the top of the page.
    4. on the left, select network.
    5. Select Network (IP) address
    6. select manual DNS server
    a. manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
    b. alternate DNS server should read. 8.8.4.4
    7. Select apply you could get a fair warning select OK.

  • New Photosmart 5520 will not print in black

    I have a new HP Photosmart 5520 printer all-in-one.  Black ink ran out so I replaced it with a previously used ink cartridge which is of the same type # 564 but a XL version.  This cartridge has been barely used.  Now, I just can't get anything to print in black.  It will print in color, but not black.  I tried to turn off the printer.  I put the cartridge in my printer and it worked fine.  What should I do?

  • PHOTOSMART 5520 WILL NOT PRINT BLACK

    I just replaced the cartridges for my PHOTOSMART 5520.

    After that, color printing has no black color.

    All HP cartridges are not new.

    It's very frustrating.

    for some unknown reason, this problem is gone when I tried printing 2 weeks later.

    To summarize:

    I'm in the United States.

    I replaced the 4 cartridges again purchased at HP online.

    After that, the black will not print if I choose to print in color.

    But if I print in "black and white only", black is in fact works very well.

    I tried everything suggested in the web forum such as cleaning, alignment, prower AC cycle,... etc. He has not fixed the problem.

    I stop using the printer for 2 weeks. But yesterday, I try agin, then the problem is gone.

    I don't know what to say. Thanks to HP for assistance.

    I just bought the HP Photosmart 5520 and connected via USB to my computer (under Windows Vista Build 6002). I tested all the functions (print, scan, copy) and they work fine. Only problem is that after a period of inactivity, the printer starts 'asleep' and no amount after you have pressed the button On / Off he wakes. I have to resort to pulling on the power cable to the back and reinsert, then the printer starts. I see that others have had similar problems, but I see no solution.     I have now received my replacement of HP printer and it works as it should which is when he goes to sleep, you can wake him up by tapping the button On / Off on the front panel.

    I had a little problem because when he goes to sleep and you submit a print job, the printer does not automatically wake up and I had to press the power button to start printing. I followed the advice of Mulespinner about disabling automatic start/stop and this morning I sent the first print job to the printer "awakened" and fine print. My printer is connected via a USB cable.

    Thus, it has been a bit of a trip since I posted my original message (October 15, 2013), but everything works as it should be now. So, if you encounter the problem initially reported by myself and Mulespinner, the only solution is a replacement printer.

    About HP, the hard bit was getting to them that there was a problem, but once that has been established, the replacement option went like clockwork, and it's a good printer.

    I was testing to print some pages in internet (wireless) and given my laptop (HP, too ;-)) the command to print the pages in black. But when the pages came out of the printer, they were in color?

    I have this doubles up in Chrome with my printer Officejet 8600.  It seems that Chrome can not correctly send the information for printing in black only.  Try the following: at the bottom of the page of the dialog box print, there is a link «print using the system dialog box...» (Ctrl + Shift + P".  Click on it and then select your Photosmart 5520 and select case displays the options (printing in grayscale, black ink only).

    I've had this machine for a few months and just discovered that, unlike my previous HP printer, it will not print photos from my PC. Unlike my previous printer, it doesn't have a slot for a memory card. When I click on "Print" for a picture of the appropriate screen appears on the screen but nothing else happens.   • Photosmart 5524: Photosmart 5524 will not connect to the wireless network

    I recently moved house, and since the move does not connect the printer to the network.

    The router and the parameters are the same as before the move, and appliances are on opposite sides of the same coin.

    Initially, he sees the network, but does not connect when you press the WPS button or the password.

  • My headphones/headset will not connect to my laptop

    I plugged my headphones Jack headphones and music only plays my speakers. The headphones I have are the same as those used for the iPhone, but they work on any other device and my headphones work when I click on 'test' in the audio window I found on the control panel. Basically, I can't just understand how to turn the headphones. They also do not appear in the sound devices - it's as if they can not connect at all. Please help, thanks :)

    All through the various boxes you've probably restarted it inadvertently... or you have done what I've done so far and connected to the line in socket... Too easy to do on a laptop!

  • Atheros AR9285 in CQ61-410US wireless network card does not connect to the Internet after the update of the adapter driver

    I have a Compaq Presario CQ61-410US (WA974UA) which is equipped with an Atheros AR9285 B/G/N wireless network adapter.   The laptop Internet access was fast and stable when using a Wi - Fi N.   Its pilot AR9285 was the initial version of the 8.0.0.172 factory.  But because there were so many subsequent driver updates, I've updated the display driver version from the support page 8.9.9.316 (sp48755.exe).  However, after updating the driver, I immediately lost Internet access.   The laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1 and 64-bit.

    The driver seems to be installed OK, but it does not connect to the Internet.  Here is the status of the driver: 1) in Device Manager it appears OK and is presented as working properly.  (2) in the results of IPCONFIG/all, it there is no entry for the wireless adapter and without IP addresses are affected.  Here are the results of the IPCONFIG/all command:

    (3) Trying to Connect through connections network does not a list of known available networks and instead says "not connected - no connection is available."

    I have read several messages from the HP Forum and tried a lot of things, including the installation of various updates driver later thanks to the version 10.0.0.222, but I still can't the driver to connect to the Internet.  I also changed my router "n" has only B/G as the AR9285 pilot has a history of problems with Wireless N.  Even back to the original driver version 8.0.0.172 provides an Internet connection.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    I'm glad that you were able to restore your internet connection.

    I'd go with the latest driver HP vice one from another source.

    The only time wherever I go outside HP for wireless network drivers is if you have an Intel wireless card.

    My recommendation is to use the free MS Security Essentials antivirus/antispyware, which never interfere with how "things important works" on your PC, such as network connections.

    Your router with a hardware firewall and a software firewall Windows. I don't see the importance of adding other firewalls.

    Unless you have a lot of albums secret info on your PC that pirates would like to get my hands on, these fully functional security roadblocks are adequate for most of us.

  • Training of us data will NOT sync W450 8 GB after software update Version 5

    I updated my 8GB US MY Software Version 5. After the update, I can't sync my data drive via USB or Wi - Fi. I combed the forums & internet for answers, no dice.

    Things, I tried to fix the problem:

    -Suppression of Wi - Fi profiles, then added one at a time

    -Removal of all music of MY then tried to sync

    -Tried a PC and Mac

    -Call the Technical Support, they told me to Factory reset (lost some training data), after doing so, STILL cannot sync.

    It's very frustrating... I can't understand why he used to synchronize, neither can Motorola. I can't extract the raw data either. Can someone please provide useful information?

    I posted this before. I too had your problem without training on Web site data. Tried every thing to work around the problem. We advised me to return my camera and try another. This did not help the problem. The only thing left was to create a new account W450. Guess what! The problem has been resolved and my W450 transferred workout data since.

    I understand that you have problems with your black print the result.  I recommend you to perform a power reset. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

    After the reset, I would say using this document on fixing of the streaks of ink faded prints and other common Print quality problems

    I also suggest the steps described in this document printer does not print black ink or color ink or prints blank Pages.
