my printer takes half an hour to print a single page

My hp5510 suddenly began to take half an hour to print a single Web page.  Yet, sometimes it prints quickly.  The colors are also washed in or very weak or very dark, even though I have installed two new ink cartridges.  It happened after an update of Windows, I think.  HPDR shows no problems with it.

Hello hsmof5.

Please, try to remove and reinstall the cartridges and perform the alignment of cartridges from the Toolbox.

See you soon!

  • Laptop wakes up immediately, but external second screen) takes half an hour to wake up.

For about three years and a half years, I have used the same monitor ViewSonic VX2255wm-4 with my Sony Vaio laptop (Windows 7) with zero problems. A few weeks ago, a question arose. When I wake the Vaio from hibernation, he wakes up immediately, but the external monitor now takes about half an hour to wake up, during which the laptop flashes on and offer as it attempts to send the signal to the external display. If I unplug the monitor, I use Notepad, then plug the monitor later. Once the monitor is awake, it works normally in all respects. I use it now to type this message. Response time is great, the colors are fine, is superb, etc..

Regularly, I have install all updates to Windows, but have not updated the driver from ViewSonic. I went looking for him, but not been able to find one on the ViewSonic website. I contacted ViewSonic support, but the suggestions were not useful.

Any thoughts here? Monitor is probably a failure? Funky Windows update? Setting I may have inadvertently changed (I can't think of something I've done, but it is possible)?

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you very much!

A couple of months, I forgot that I had left my computer on when I'm gone for browsing the web. When I came back a few hours later it pop ups promote pornographic sites on the screen. I tried to remove Firefox from my computer and download a new version, but the problem continues. No other program seems affected. I integro Virus Barrier X 5 and I use a trial version of X 6 but I have found no sign of any other malicious software. Suggestions?

  • Why my printer more hp 8600 spit an extra page (empty) after having printed a single page?

I use a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus on a HP Pavilion HPE computer running 64-bit Windows 7. He did since I started to use the new printer there is ten days.

Y at - it a fix for this problem?

I found something that seems to work.  At the end of this process, you will be asked to restart your computer, so probably best to do when you are not in delays and/or with several programs.

You need the HP Jet Pro 8600 for this Officce installation disc.   Insert the disk into your CD/DVD/BlueRay player and be sure that it is active.

Then go to control panel > programs and features.  Search for "Software device HP Officejet Pro 8600Basic".   Do a RIGHT CLICK on the program.  Appears in a context menu for the uninstall, change or repair.  Left click on "fix."  The program took about 5 seconds on my K-3770.

After the repair the program runs it asks to restart the computer for the changes to take effect, now or later.

I tried the repair by printing multiple Word 2010 files which had been printing an extra 10 seconds after page started printing.  I have tested as print current Page, print selection, print, print all extended Custom Pages.  It seems to have solved the problem.

    I hope this helps everyone.

HP-why this feature isn't VERY accessible?  I fell on it, when I was trying everything and anything to correct this proglem.   I'm sure it's buried somewhere in the documentation, but I ran into it.

  • DeskJet 3050 all-in-One J610A series will not print an alignment page

I have owned this printer for a year and a half and have had little problems with it. When I inserted a new ink cartridge, it wouldn't print an alignment page. The display shows "load plain white paper on tray and press OK", I did. When I pressed OK, it says "printing" but made no sounds and nothing print. I tried the reset of the printer, the printer and the print spooler reset, cleaning, but nothing works. I can print other documents, but he always wonder to print a page of alignment first of all, that it refuses to print. I am at one loss for what else to do. Help?

My first thought would be to do a firmware update, but there is not an update for this printer.  It is not really a power problem since you are able to print any other documents.

You could try a reset by unplugging the power cord directly from the back of the printer when the printer is always on, and then disconnect the other end of the power cord.  Wait a minute and plug the power cord directly into a wall socket (not a surge protector or battery backup) and then again in the printer.

If there is no change, you might take a look at the following links and if you see a step not taken, that give a try.

  • PSC 1350 all prints a test page every time when turned on

After changing the cartridge, we printed test page.

Now, whenever we turn on the printer it prints test page automatically.

    How to disable this option?

    Thank you

    Hello vancat,

If your problem is that your PSC 1350 prints a test page when it is turned on or after every printjob, it is very likely because the cartridge alignment process is not finished. After you have installed a new cartridge in the printer, it will print an alignment page. You must take this page and place it on the scanner glass (make sure that the top of the page is in a good way), then you press the "Scan" button on the printer itself. It will scan the page (that is, read the page) and full alignment process (so it is not scanning in the sense that it sends an image to the computer).

I hope that clarifies the process of alignment slightly.

Make what is called a test of half.  Put a sheet of paper on the manual fold down tray on the front and open the drawer of the cassette.  Now print a configuration page from the menu information and when the rear edge of the paper between the printer, quickly open the toner door to stop printing.  Remove the toner cartridge and look at the picture below.  If the fault is present, the question is the toner cartridge and nothing else.  If the defect is not present, the fuser unit teflon sleeve has problems and the fuser unit will need to be replaced.  I hope this helps.

  • Print 1.5 pages of a document of 4 pages?

I have a new laptop (ASUS) with Windows 8. The all-in-one printer, HP Deskjet F4580 found immediately and appears as connected. But... I can only print the first pages 1 and a half of a 4-page document.

I downloaded the drivers recommended etc. I ran the HP doctor. Everything said the connection is OK and the printer is visible and connected, but I don't get that part of the document. I tried several multi-page documents and it stops always at the same point in printing.

I used my "old" laptop and you can print the documents in their entirety.

Someone at - it ideas I can do next?

Interesting.  How is your internet connection on the computer?  This computer does show signs of loss of connectivity?

This looks like a possible problem with the print spooler. You get the error messages or the printer indicates something specific like the flashing of lights, stuffing, etc.?

What method did you use to install the printer (printer Install Wizard, software disk or download from the web)?

Have you already tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for this printer?

Is your "old" laptop has Windows 7?

Answer these questions for me please I know the best course of action to be undertaken.  If you have not uninstalled the drivers, I would, then use this link to install the printer Deskjet on your PC in Windows 8.  This will reset all the settings in the printer properties.

  • HP Officejet Pro K8600: Power light + resume light flashing after printing only one Page

After trying to print a document of several page, the printer produced a page and then the power light and the resume light (page feed) Flash. I also tried to print multiple copies of a page, but that leads to the same result.

I can get the lights extinguish by turning printer off then turn it back on. But it will always print that one front page the same lights begin to Flash. I did six times in a row just to print a six page document.

I went through all the steps in troubleshooting HP software. Not like searching for cleaning print heads, re-seats cartridges, etc., fragments of paper. Nothing seems to work.

    @Bob_Headrick

Thank you for your response. However, none of the suggestions could solve the problem. ALTHOUGH the light guide troubleshooting that you provided was close to the solution.

I came across the solution by reading the PDF manual for the printer. On page 77, it describes the power led + resume light flashing. One of the causes for this using EXPIRES of CARTRIDGES of INK, CARTRIDGES RECHARGEES or NON HP CARTRIDGES.

WARNING: It is important to note that if your printer is still under warranty, DO NOT DO THIS. HP notes in the manual using this substitution can void the warranty against damage caused by the use of faulty ink cartridges, obsolete or not allowed.

    SOLUTION:

While the power light and button resume flashing, press and hold the power button and press the button repeat 3 times. This replaces the "apparent" internal error message to use the cartridges you have installed. It may also cause a print cartridge alignment page.

    MY OPINION:

It is important to note the HP cautioned against it, it FIXED MY PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY! I know that the cartridges that I have installed are in agreement. Like many HP owners out there, I take advantage of sales and have stored on cartridges. I guess some may "expires" before you install it. In my view, the idea of "expiring" cartridges also somewhat falls into this column to "How can do us buy more ink?" What kind of market we create where it's cheaper to buy a new printer than to buy a new set of cartridges/toners? BUT it's a slippery slope... let's not go there.

  • My fairly new Epson WF-2540 is nothing prints on the page, although it pulls the paper and it looks like it's printing, producing a blank page

    Hi Anita,.

Printing problems can be caused by cables that are not properly connected, corrupt, drivers, incompatible drivers, the printer settings, missing updates and problems with your printer. To resolve this problem, use the following methods in the order in which they are presented. If method 1 does not resolve your problem, go to the next method.

    Method 1
Try the printer troubleshooter, which will attempt to diagnose and solve your problem automatically.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-printer-Troubleshooter

    Method 2
Clear printer spooler files and activate the spooler service
    Step 1
    a. Click Start, type "Services.msc" (without the quotation marks) in the Open box and click OK.
    b. double click on "Printer Spooler" in the Services list.
    c. click on stop, and then click OK.
    d. Click Start, type "% WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers" in the opened window and delete all the files in this folder.

    Step 2

You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.
    a. open administrative tools by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type administrative tools, and then click Administrative Tools.
    b. double-click on Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • HP 7525 occasionally prints garble after printing the good pages - usually on the adobe reader web page

Since obtaining the all-in-one HP Photosmart 7525 and put in place on the PC under XP Pro, I Heve sporadically encountered a problem of printing blurred. Sometimes the entire document downloaded from a financial website is blurred, but more often it will print 1 or 2 pages fine then garble the rest. I regularly upgrading programs and drivers and this is first all-in-one printers (half a dozen or more) I encountered this problem with HP. The columns and rows are in a suitable place but numbers, letters and random characters replace the text. Often I can simple printing of page pages truncated, but sometimes only of them can print correctly. It is a such frustration but I used almost exclusively from HP for individuals and small businesses.

Has anyone but me ever cela or is it my magnetic charm that confuses this model? It's terribly frustrating when you try to print a bank statement and I have this problem and have several times to re - open a session print one good page. Help! I'm getting too old for this a lot of fun.

  • HP Deskjet 2540: How to print only the Page showing

How to fix my printer to print just what is on the screen?

For example, I am trying to print the list of the NBA team, which shows on the screen, but when I hit print, it prints five pages and the list is divided between the last two pages.

I used to have a nice little program, years, called "Print Screen", which I was allowed to do, but it became obsolete.  My HP 2540 is new and I have the CD with any software.  Is there something out there that will help you?  TIA

    D-S-N

Thank you banhien, but as I mentioned in the post, the list was divided between two pages when it print so choose page I was only half of the team.  However, I found a solution, provided by HP and ready to install.  I remembered a window asking if I wanted to install "HP Smart Print" shortly after I installed my new printer to appear.  I didn't know what it was, I went on it.  I shouldn't, because it's actually the version of HP of the old program 'Print Screen'.

It allows you to choose from, with the mouse, the entire page or a part of the page, preview and enlarge (up to 200%) or to reduce and print any number of pages you want.  Really great!  I found it waiting to be installed in 'Tools' on the menu of Office Windows 8.1 under "HP Smart Print 2.1".»  As soon as it is installed and I went to the for use, he informed me that there is a 'Smart Print 2.7' update available, I did, it only took about 30 seconds and he was.  It works perfectly.

A second solution is to go out tomorrow and buy another victory. 8.0 HP keyboard, to replace my five-year-old wireless keyboard HP Deluxe Desktop which is supported only through Win XP and who does not the "Prnt scrn" button  I guess it is old 32-bit and 64 - bit.  Hitting "ALT - Prnt scrn" used to work with XP and earlier operating systems.

  • Print the brochure-page editing and print dialog box questions

    Hi people,

I have a small organic seed in Southern California company and I am looking to do our first seed catalog using what I would describe as a "zine" format: a letter-sized document that is folded, resulting in a booklet composed of half pages (I don't know if there is a more technical term to do this (, please correct me). I use InDesign 5 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

When I started doing the document, it seemed logical to start with my page as a 'half letter' size, because I had read about the "Print booklet" feature of Adobe that would automatically print the pages in the order appropriate for folding. After doing a few pages of my catalog, I decided to do a test run this function, as I suspected things may be more difficult that it seemed. I ran against two problems while doing so, and I hope someone here can help give me an idea.

The first problem is that I can't get the pages to impose properly by adopting a system of alternative numbering on the pages themselves. To explain: I chose '2-top stitching horse' in the settings of the printed booklet. I have a paper of 10 pages of 5 blocks spread. In the menu document, I put my layout to start on page 2 so that gaps appear side by side in the pages. However, I also want page numbers on my zine so I started a new section number (which I gave an A prefix) on what is ultimately the fourth page of the layout. This numbering comes as '1' on the fourth page and produced consecutively from here (pages 4-10, on the spread in the page layout area are labeled 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 on the pages themselves). It seems that booklet printing think my second section (A) on page 1 is where it should start stitching horse formatting. The help section on booklet written print Adobe, 'If you have split the document into sections of page numbers, you should enter section page numbers (for example, Sec2:11) "in the range field.". However, they recommend only do that if you want specific pages to the format ranges, while I would like to format the entire document. However, I tried to do that, suspicious that the first three pages were not formatted properly. However, I could not yet find a way to clarify my section A in the range box. I typed in things like "SecA:1" but I get a message that says: "one or more of the specified pages aren't valid page names." I note when I stripped the formatting of the document the print booklet feature requires the pages in the correct order. Thus, this problem is not the end of the world. However, what I lost is the ability to have numbers of pages printed on my document, unless I want to manually add to each page (and then having to deal with reformatting if I ever add or remove pages of the document in the future).

The second and more important problem that I have is to get the pages to print even close correct. I have a printer Brother HL - 5340 D laser has a two-sided feature, and I thought there would be a way to print just two pages of my catalog (half-letter pages) on a letter page size, side by side, double faces and in the right order for folding. After trying a number of different options (by changing the page size and the page orientation in the print area), I was not able to get the printer to print these pages, with success, or even in the right size and orientation - or even on the set of law, indeed. Once I played around with all the settings I managed to pull of "Tray1" (and created a preset in the OS X print settings), but I can't understand how I got this opportunity to stick. Of course, Adobe recommends using their own printer on the Brother driver dialog box, but duplex, for example, is impossible without ebb in the print based on the OS setting. I turned, something that has worked well with other InDesign documents I created. In this case, however, I have not been able for duplex printing to work.

I wonder if there are conflicts being created between two printer settings, or maybe I just made a mistake starting my catalog with a letter paper size "half" and now try to print two of my pages letter half on a sheet of letter-sized (and double-sided, at that). As a neophyte InDesign (six months experience) I still wonder if there is something really obvious that I'm missing.

Does anyone have a picture of my situation?

    Waiting patiently. Thanks people...

    Quin

    Peter,

See the screenshot above (two positions to the top) where I show the "spreads" I made in the document. I have 56 pages in 29 spreads

The number of "spreads" appearing in the pages Panel is misleading since several ov them don't have only one page. I do not see the whole Board, of course, but my guess is that all the "spreads" we do not have two pages. Normall is the first and the last spread that are singles, but you have done strange things with the numbering.

In any case, is printing print booklet 28 pages. The only way that can happen if additional blank pages are added is if you did not include the original White you have created. You have to go into setup to display the print dialog box and select include blank pages there.
