  I searched for the blackberry storm 9530 touch long tone function without being the solution. In order to save money on long distance, I use the phone card to dial in long distance. But I can not send the phone number in my contacts as tones. The only way is to enter the phone number to hand.

  This is a very useful feature that has all the basic cell phone. Does anyone know how I can send the phone number (which is already in my contacts) as "tones"?

  Yes and it is a message with a link to it. Search again on "5 rings gone BONE" or similar and you will find it. The link downloads 5 BONES set in another folder, that you can choose when assigning them to your callers and types of e-mail. The same post will tell you how to select them - something like. «All ringtones...» "Bottom of the list you select. I can post the article # later once I find that if you do not first! Good luck

  I upgraded my os yesterday v4.6 v5 but have a small problem that drives me crazy with respect to the text alert tone.

  I have selected the profiles edit profiles & then set up the tones for email, sms etc etc.

  Seems to work correctly because the alert tone selected times as it should be, BUT for some strange reason, when I get a text from my wife it will DING?

  I sent 3 text to my phone from my friends phones and they play same tone alert that was chosen by me, good news.

  If I send a text from my wifes phones, I get a DING and not what I chose?

  Little problem maybe, but BIG headache that I can tell you like it is very quiet not to mention not to be able to understand why or how to overcome.

  I have the Curve 8330 from Verizon, and I can't get the alert message unopened to disappear from the Welcome screen.  I have no no open message and the flashing LED is not, but the yellow envelope unopened with the number '1' will be not clear.  If anyone can offer advice, I would be happy!

  Remove your battery and so you and your phone will restart.  That should clear the alert message.

  I have a BB Curve 8530 (US Cellular).  Re: new email/text/voice mail/calls missed: there is a sound alert it may seem, the first time, a message is received on the phone, and a red flashing light that continues to Flash until the new message, etc. is open.  My question is: is it possible to have a repetitive sound alert that sounds until the new message is opened?

  You must download an application for this function. There BBAlerts and eMobile alert that I know, but I don't know, there are different there.

  I see a couple of reasons that would be the case:

  (1) your BB is associated with BES, and your BES admin requires a device lock password.

  (2) you have the Protection of the content or active encryption, which requires a password to enforce.

  (3) your BB was formerly associated with BES, and has a latent policy on board, which is the application of the requirement of password (even if are more associated with BES, there are specific processes that must be performed to remove the device IT strategy).

  So please check those out and let us know!

  If you deleted them, then they are gone.  You can try to go to Messages > view folders > phone call logs.

  But it has not solved the problem.  Past of 35 min. with the support of e, and just before we wiped the phone we tried something.

  Go into Office Manager upper-backup - advanced - and allowed the messagess in database.

  I configured my e-mail to my Bberry curve, but I can't seem to ding with a notification!  frustrating!

  I also added a folder on the desktop to my email, but is showing new emails in my e-mail folder and my SMS messages folder.
