New cartridge in 1512; No dialog for alignment

1512 new. Install new black cartridges and color.

There was no dialogue talks about the stages of alignment.

He did print an alignment page.

How can I start the second part - scan?

When you hide the alignment dialog box?

Can I click on a normal scan button?

Hi gstech , thanks for the reply.

I would recommend this document on the printer does not print black ink or color of ink or prints blank Pages, especially the section on alignment running.  This will give you step by step instructions.

    Officejet 4630 e printer problem.

I had this printer for several years and have changed many times ink cartridges.  Today after installing a new cartridge HP XL 61, printing does not work correctly.  The first line prints ok, the 2nd line is only half printing (veritcally) and so on...

I ran the clean cartridges and align and scan and it still does not print correctly.

It prints very well until I changed the cartridges today.  I took out them and put back them in, computer unplugged and rebooted... everything that I can think of and it still does not work properly.

    Suggestions please.  Thank you.

Hi @Amoscatand welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you are having problems with your alignment and print output. I would like to help!

I know you've covered some of these steps already, but I suggest to remove the cartridges and perform a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

  • New cartridge for Photosmart HP 6510 appears defective

I just replaced the old magenta cartridge in my Photosmart HP 6510 with a brand new printer, pack of 4, and it is now telling me that or toner appears to be missing or damaged. The new cartridge looks in good condition and is broken down and repeat the relocation or power off the printer do not help.  I tried cleaning the contacts, but everything seems very clean.

I managed to get the printer working again with the old magenta cartridge up to who has certainly missed, but now the same error is detected, leaving me with a printer that does not even to print only black.

I bought the original cartridge in a pack of 4 from Amazon, so have little chance to return the fauly cartridge (even though they agreed it was defective).  Looks like I'll have to do a magenta and hope that works, but in the meantime, has anyone any ideas how I can persuade the printer to work using only in black?

    Hello

There could be two possibilities for that matter, ink cartridge you bought or print head.

Try installing the old cartridge and check if the error.

If Yes, then his problem with the printhead, and the printer must be replaced under the print head is fixed part this printer.

If not, then the new cartridge is defective contact, HP Technical Support for assistance. If the new cartridge genuine HP, then iam sure Technical Support should help you get the repalced the cartridge (if you are in the United States).

Please call the HP Technical Support for assistance.

  • I need to print a new Page of alignment with each new cartridge?

I have to print a new alignment Page with each new cartridge I install on my HP Photosmart C4480?  Or can I save and reuse the original I got when first installing my printer cartridges?  The pages of the alignment, all seem to be the same when I print them with each new cartridge I install, but I'm not examine them under the microscope.

If I can save and reuse the alignment page with encourages the replacement of cartridge, when I'm following the procedure of installing a new cartridge and the printer ask me to print a new alignment page, is there an option to skip this step?  I don't remember seen this option in the Control Panel on the printer window.

    Thank you!

No, you can avoid printing the page by reusing the previous cartridge alignment page. Information on the freshly printed page includes the information needed to define the operating energy.

  • New printers, cartridges different 'type' - it's for the best?

I always loged HP printers and more loved when I worked at BestBuy and met with the representative of HP fairly often about the quality of your printers and ink. A thing I liked is that when I bought a new HP ink cartridge it came with the new 'nozzles' or 'printer heads' can't remember exactly... as far as I know now who is on my current printer (C4440, he has been a beast but must be replaced soon) has, it seems, to be in the picture below. The advantage of my memory, was that, given that the user has bought a new cartridge print quality would last any age the printer, because the 'nozzle' (or another) has been incorporated into the cartridge, not the printer.

I started looking at the new printers and noticed, with a slight disappointment that the HP ink cartridges are more like Canon, Epson and Lexmark... get you just a new "cartridge" nothing else. That kind of fact wonder: what is so fantastic HP now? Essentially, each printer can print on quality during the first 6 months - 1 year. With HP, however, I was previouslly assued that quality would last much longer and that I should not expect that there will be several issues related to cartridge. Here is a picture of the new cartridge:

-What is the difference? Why the change? What does this change for me, the customer?

Thank you very much for your time and energy,

    Andrew Tatum

HP has several inkjet technologies currently available.  The use of the lower end are most often integrated print head (IPH) printers.  Individual ink cartridges (IIC) have separate ink supplies, one for each color and fixed or replaceable print heads separately the printheads.

IIC systems are usually more expensive and intended for a more important use systems.  The ink tanks are generally larger and cost per page may be less.  IIC systems are in part a response to requests from competitors that it is cheaper to replace a single color as needed rather than replace a tricolor cartridge when a color is low.

  • My HP C4750 sat unused for two years. Both new cartridges are so-called 'Print cartridge error': help!

My HP C4750 wireless and wireless has worked on occasion, so I used a different printer and let sit unused HP two years.  Now I need to use it, now using a cable to my computer laptop, bought two new ink cartridges and show 'print cartridge error.  It cannot read ink levels that should be 100% of new cartridges. • DeskJet 2132: Do not print with the new cartridge

I bought this printer only about a month. I've exhausted the original black ink cartridge, so I bought a new one (genuine HP 63XL).

I installed the new cartridge and the alignment page is printed, but only the parts of printing color, no black. I tried to print a test page, once again, not black. The ink level software shows that the new cartridge is full.

I tried to put back the cartridge several times and made sure the protective film is removed completelu.

I tried to remove the new cartridge to print mode single cartridge. The test page comes out fine; but, when I try to print a document in this way, the printer WILL NOT PRINT AT ALL. There is a little red light next to the black point near the power button.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 a: printers print only after the new cartridges installed

Whenever I put in new cartridges I have problems with the print head alignment, then it usually printed.  This time, he was sitting with cartridges empty color for awhile and now it does not print at all.  I always use only the new HP cartridges.  It fails the alignment and the blue and yellow and sometimes the magenta show on the sheet alignment.  What is the print heads?  Why would I need to change them whenever I have to add ink cartridges new which makes no sense.  I have never changed them, but they worked very well until I added the new ink.

    Hey @janh1058,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.  I hope you enjoy your experience here.

I understand that e-all-in-one-HP Officejet Pro 8500 a your printer is printing is no longer.  I would like to work with you on this. I have a few suggestions that might restore your printing capabilities.

It could be that the long period of inactivity of dormancy has dried the print head, even if you have made the right choice in leaving the cartridges installed in the printer.  I recommend you try the following basic troubleshooting steps before embarking on a manual print head cleaning more intensive:

    • Click here and clean the printhead automatically via the front panel of the printer, as shown in the second Solution.
    • Repeat three times if you still have print quality issues.
    • Remove and reinsert the cartridges once more with the printer to force the printer to print a different allignment page.
    • This to improve the print quality?

If you use always the same question, I have a few more advanced troubleshooting tips:

  • Printing error after loading the new cartridge

After loading a new cartridge (genuine) 338, everything I print has the top of the first line is missing. I rebooted the old cartridge and it prints the line correctly (even slightly). I tried to reload a new, but it still does not print correctly. The alignment test after loading was very good. Can anyone help me to solve the problem or is it just a faulty cartridge?

Rich thanks for your help and for taking the time to answer my question. I'm sorry that I was not to give complete information about the printer, as this has been my first post - I'll do better next time. The issue has resolved itself today! After several attempts to print and reload the cartridge, I dropped, but unexpectedly, the printer has pulled up and began to do a second test of its own alignment, and that solved the problem.

  • Bad print quality with the new cartridge

I replaced the cartridge on my HP Photosmart c4680 printer a few weeks ago and the print quality looks as if it is low on ink. I followed the instructions on alignment after installation and made sure that I installed the new cartridge. There is no prompt that the ink is low. The other weird thing is sometimes the printer does not start when I turn it on. The screen reads HP and he begins to beep every 10-15 seconds or more. This problem occurs intermittently, but began after the installation of the new cartridge. Would appreciate any help to solve these problems.

    (1) pull the cartridge out and reinsert it, if there is a latch to ensure she fully locking up.

    (2) your HP software for the printer should include several utilities, one such utility is to print a page of 'Test '. Run that usually it will clean the print head.

Hi all.  As title, I try to put new cartridges, which I've often done it before without any problem, but they're going to step in.  Also tried to put the old ones back in but they will not go into the two.  I wonder if there is something that could have displaced themselves, knocked out of line or similar?  No idea what to look for - old grandma here so any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.
