  For your model, HP seems to only provide drivers of Windows 8. Most of the Windows 7 driver from the drivers PC laptop HP Pavilion 2123us g6 page should work on your computer from HP g7-2353eo.

  For your specific problem of USB, please download the Chipset AMD drivers. Select the Windows 7 tab and click the link "AMD Chipset Drivers". This driver will install/update the chipset AMD and AHCI SATA/drivers USB 3.0

  I tried in vain to install my old Bejeweled game on my brand new HP Pavilion Slimline 400 office.  No matter how many times I clicked on the Install of the game on my screen button, nothing happened.  Oddly, I had no problem installing the same game on my laptop.  The computer is running Windows 7, while the desktop is running Windows 8.1 (I don't know if it's 32-bit or 64-bit).  The version of Windows would have something to do with it?  Is there something I can do?

  If you can read the whole page, you will notice that the OS is Win7.  No mention of Win8. You can find new versions for WIN8 on the web.

  Well, I have a brand new HP Pavilion g7-1070us Notebook with 6Gig RAM and bought two sticks of memory 4 GB for a total of 8GB. Well, since I knew that it couldn't be the OS, I looked online and downloaded the new BIOS for my motherboard. There is nothing to solve the problem. My computer says I don't have 1 stick of RAM in, when I clearly have two. I can't find this problem anywhere else. I searched for hours. I looked in the BIOS config and ran a few tests of memory and whatnot, and they all confirm that I only have 4Gigs of RAM. This computer is new, so I have no idea what is wrong. I even picked up the RAM at the store and he exchanged with an identical kit, but nothing seems to work. I run a:

  I bought the new HP pavilion DM3 [external dvd player] with the new windows 7 Home premium intalled about 4 weeks ago. After the first round and all updates installed, real I tried windows backup on dvd - r media.

  I started windows backup, after whereas it wonder average wiriteable so I put the dvd - r inside, next step was to format dvd - r [little unusual, but I have no choice]... After succesfull formatting it starts to burn. After a few hours, he was still burning mode 54% without errors and progress too. I pull out the cable of the external dvd burner, the writing process has failed and on dvd was written about 1 cm of layer thickness.

  I tried 2 times again with the same result, but the different progress of burning 56% and 25%

  What should I do?

• OfficeJet 6600 does not recognize my new HP Pavilion windows 8.1 for scanning

  I have a HP Officejet 6600 networking with my new HP Pavilion windows 8.1 it prints fine but does not recognize my computer when I want to scan. Whenever I want to scan a document to my computer I have to run Scan doctor. I called tech support and they can't help me because my printer is no longer under warranty as I bought it December 2012. but my office was purchased November 2013. They said that it is clearly a problem with the printer and not on the computer. They won't even talk to me or answer my questions without fees being paid first.  The scanner recognizes my laptop and desktop to the husband who have vista and 7, respectively. But I don't understand why it will print without difficulty and habit of scanning.

  I want to offer a helping hand with the 8.1 of Windows not scanning with your HP Officejet 6600. When you run the HP print and Dr. Scan on the computer it says it fixes some thing or that it cannot fix what whether?

  Given that the printer works on the other two computers (Vista and 7), the problem is with the WIndows 8.1. I want to uninstall the printer software and the HP printer install wizard makes sure that we get the newest software possible.

  Please use F11, press it all right after the startup of the device. Press several times to ensure that you access the Recovery Manager.

  In case you have no restore points, in the section "Troubleshooting" menu, select "System Refresh", it reinstalls the system without erasing your data.

• Pavilion 550 116na: transfer of data and emails on new HP Pavilion

  I have all my emails and data (word, excel files etc.) backed up to an external hard drive.

  I had my new PC and did a system restore to get all files on my new system.  I have some problems.

  1. I can't open one of my word or Excel files because I get the message that I don't have permission to open this file.   This can also apply to other files that I have not watched yet.

  2. the word and Excel files are not where I expected them, but are under users

  3. the e-mail files are not in my account in Outlook on the PC.  The only files I see there are new messages that have arrived since I got the computer.

  4. Outlook calendar - none of my existing appointments are appearing

  I think I probably need to delete all these and make the recovery in a different way, but I don't have the slightest idea what to do differently.  Any help gratefully received!

I asked if the agent spoke English and said roughly in German that I contacted the HP GERMANY line, so only they speak German. The agent would not even ask if someone at the desk spoke English. My German isn't very good, but I know when someone is being rude. She then told me to call another number. So I called the support for the Germany number. Again, nobody is there speak English, so I tried to explain I want to send my laptop to it with UPS, but the agent said she can't help me and told me to call the Customer Service line again. I sent the Service and customer support in English two days in a row and have not been answered. Finally, I used google translate and sent support with the original message and the German translation. Hope somone comes back to me soon! HP terms of service, I can get a full refund if I bought the laptop within 14 days of the refund request. After obtaining a new laptop faulty and does not help from HP, I want to just send this book to return and get a refund. Can someone tell me how I can get one person to HP in Germany to help me before this Sunday when the 14 days is up?

• Need drivers for my new HP Pavilion HPE ethernet

  Hello, I just bought a new HP Pavilion HPE desktop computer (3 days).  After that I got the first time I turned it on it only connected via the wireless network card.  I then did a clean install of windows 7 Ultimate edition (because I had it and it's better than home premium).  Well I can connect through the wireless card but want to connect with the ethernet.  The Device Manager shows SM Bus controller and Ethernet controller drivers are not installed.  I contacted HP support and they could not help, they said I have to do a full install HP operating system provided with the computer because they knew not where were pilots and no guarantee that would work.  The motherboard is made by IPMMB-FM.  I tried Google and found nothing.  I'm looking for help to find these drivers.  I'd appreciate any help that is offered.

  While HP does not seem the W7 64-bit driver available (small oversite on their part), I think I have found a driver on the Atheros website.

  Go to the Portal client Atheros and select AR813x_AR815x_v2.0.14.15_WHQL or AR816x_v2.0.14.15_WHQL under the headings AR813x_AR815x or AR816x. They are in. RAR format, extract the driver by using WinRAR or similar!
