New ink will not print

I installed new ink (all) like I did before manytimes) and this time it does not print and when he tries to print, it is very slow.  I did a check of the color and the color is proved fine on it, but not on the forms, etc. Black is just a few points here and there... help!

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model?  There the error messages on the computer screen or the printer?

    Hi @ginim,

Welcome to the HP Forums. I understand your printer is not printing black ink, and I would like to help. Please start with the procedure described in the following document; Printer prints a blank Page or do not print black or color ink for the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage year...

If you have performed all the steps in the document above and the problem persists, not one of HPs, my personal recommendation is to use the solution put forward in the next video.  I suggest you only do this if the printer is out of warranty; How to fix an HP, not for printing black ink and lack of color printer

In view of the comments, it seems that this will help you

Even if the printer is maybe more under warranty, if the problem persists, HP may be able to offer something. Perhaps, they may offer you a discount on another model. What you can do, is to use the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help to expedite the appeal process:

Step 1. Open the link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter the product number or select Auto detection
Step 3. Scroll up to "still need help? Fill out the form to select your contact options.
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: contact HP options - click Get phone number

File number and phone number are displayed.

Since you just bought the printer you need to know, HP printers usually have a warranty of 1 year from the date of purchase, you can check the warranty using the following if you wish; Guarantee cheque.

    I hope this helps.

If this resolves the issue, please let me know if we can help others who may be faced with the same problem.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless: Can I get some help here? Yellow ink will not print - HP OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless

No matter what I do, ink yellow does not print, or stops at halfway printing on the page. I use genuine HP cartridges. There is a lot of ink - in fact, I just installed a new cartridge in the case where a previous (almost complete) was defective. No change. The pipe is not pinched. I flashed the firmware more recent and installed all drivers and utilities updated. I have cleaned the print heads over and over again and even took and cleaned according to the instructions.

I think it was a sign that the printer is worn EXCEPT - just a few months ago, magenta and black stopped printing. These are the opposite printheads. When I uninstalled every bit of HP software I could find, the printer back to normal!

The only thing I did not - it is the HP Toolbox argues that it is impossible to establish two-way communication with the printer. The patches for this involve get under the desk to play with the power cord and USB cable (even if it is a wireless printer), and my arthritic knees that make a very delicate operation. Two-way communication IS enabled.

I'm about to start crying. I fought with this market a week, when the yellow all of a sudden went - once again, * most * of the time, but sometimes it prints to maybe an inch of the image before disappearing. Help!

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309: blue ink will not print

I replaced all 3 color cartridges, but also the black with the new HP cartridges but when I tried to print the Cyan (blue) does not print. I tried to print something green on this subject and it printed yellow. The computer recognizes that the new cartridge has been installed. I cleaned the print heads, but that did not help. I printed a page of diagnosis and cyan won't print, even if it does appear that the ink level is declining, although it is not printing.

In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help solve cyan not print on your Photosmart c309.  Be sure to go through all the steps in order.

  • Nine D110b. Installed the cartridges supplied. Black ink will not print on paper, color OK.

I just opened and installed the new all-in-one printer of D110b. only the color cartridge is printing on the page.  Using this with an iMac OSX running.  Do you have the utility printer cleaning of the printheads through step 3, but no change.  Audit of the use of ink and black ink is expressed.  But where is it placed?  Please help as soon as POSSIBLE.  Thank you.  (Since this is a new printer, you would think that HP help for free - no luck.)

I called HP hotline and they get my cartridge black to finally work.  It turns out that the ink inside, since it had been sitting for about a year, has been a bit lazy, and he had to be convinced to enter the tube and print on paper.  Thanks for your suggestions.

I read through the blogs on this and it seems that others have encountered the same problem I'm having.  It is said that my warranty was up in September 2013.  So, I'm not sure where to go from here.  I was hoping someone HP might be able to help me?  I replaced the black cartridge with a genuine HP cartridge and run all the diagnostics.  I really like this printer so, I hope there is a solution to this problem.  Any suggestion would be great.  Thank you!

  • Feeling like 120: Want 120 black ink will not print

I'm having exactly the same problem that stcmeo had on 22/04/14; the black cartridge is not printing. Print quality diagnostic shows the black box of the void. I realized all the suggestions made to stcmeo, including a reset, but nothing helped.

  • New laptop will not print to hp 3052 a office jet

My new 8 laptop hp windows gives me a print error when I try to print to my hp 3052 a jet Wireless Office. It will print very well until about 5 lines from the bottom and then it just melted in and "error - print...". "appears. It is not the printer because I print the same document from my old laptop and it prints fine. Any suggestions?

    Hi @Aggie2720

I want to help you with your Deskjet 3050 has. I understand that you have eliminated the printer as being the main cause given that you can print from another computer very well.

Performing printing and Scan doctor could help. Printing HP and doctor Scan is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly solve common printing, scanning and connectivity problems, including but not limited to:

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

    • If you see only the Green checkmarks (), the tool did not find any problem.

    • If you see green sides (), the utility identified a problem and fix it automatically.

    • If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and requires monitoring of the user, but the step was ignored.

    • If you see a red X (), follow the onscreen instructions to fix the problem.

I can't wait to hear back on your part.

  • Black ink will not print

I ran my V305 printer black ink cartridge dry and then replaced by the Dell Series 9 cartridge.  He ran to the alignment page, but no black ink printed and I got the 'alignment error remove tape' message.  The display shows that the cartridge is full.  Thought maybe it was a faulty cartridge, so I installed a whole new other black print cartridge.  The same problem.  Can I do to solve this problem?  Anne

    Anne,

If you unplug the printer from the wall and remove the brick of power for 60 seconds, this will reset the error messages that the printer. I would then plug everything back in.

    Turn on the printer.

Open the printer (power on) and remove the Dell Series 9 black cartridge and then reinstall it. I then remove the Dell Series 9 color cartridge and reinstall it. Now, close the printer, and it will print an alignment page.

    Error messages?

Print Cartridge black = Black (left) cartridge = color (right side)

photo cartridge = cartridge black (left side) = color (right side)

Dell Series 9 ink cartridges have a sensor to them that cannot be reset. Article on Dell ink cartridges filling.

Dell Series 9 ink cartridges can be purchased at Staples, Wal-Mart or any Dell website.

It is possible to get an ink cartridge Dell Series 9 with a bad sensor. I would take these to the place of purchase for a replacement.

  • Black ink will not print Photosmart 5510 b111a

I read all posts CIHI and I've tried everything suggested except you get out the printhead, I do not think it entirely.  I tried aligning and cleaning several times, at least 5.  I have manually cleaned the contacts as well.  Still no black.  the colors are very well. I tried a new cartridge, the same thing.  Any ideas?

After on the phone for 39 minutes... It's a hardware problem 4 months out of warranty. They said that this happens often. I was offered an upgrade to a 5520, because it uses the same ink I have... for 81,99. I can buy a new one for 99 at best buy. HP did not move on the price so I didn't say thank you. I'll go buy another printer elsewhere. Probably another brand... Oh, btw, it was for a reconditioned model may be used

  • HP6520 ALL IN ONE PRINTER: BLACK INK WILL NOT PRINT

I TRIED ALL THE PROPOSED SOLUTIONS.  NO WORK FOR ME.  I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO RUN THE CLEAN CARTRIDGE HEADS.  SAME RESULT (WASTED A LOT OF VERY EXPENSIVE INK IN THE PROCESS).  ANOTHER USER HAS SUGGESTED TO USE SOLVENT TO CLEAN A CLOGGED INKJET PORT.  I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE REPRESENTATIVE HP APPROVED THAT.  THE PAGE OF DIAGNOSIS THAT PRINTS AFTER HAVING CARRIED OUT THE SYSTEMATIC CLEANING HEAD PRINT BLACK TEXT, BUT THE BOX FOR BLACK PRINTING IS TOTALLY WHITE.  IS THERE ANOTHER SOLUTION TO TRY?  Help!

The printhead on the HP Photosmart 6520 is not designed to be removable by the user.  While you can find messages with information on the withdrawal of the printhead for soaking, it's really not recommended.  If you decide to do this don't forget to read the entire thread, these discussions often end with a printer damaged due to damage or damage to the encoder system, electrical connectors which can make the printer unusable.

You may have already taken the steps of troubleshooting in the paper here, if not go through each of them in order.  Check the vents on the black print cartridge and that it sits correctly.

If the above does not solve the problem you could try manually to clean the printhead, as described in the post here for a different but similar printer.

Note that the printer uses a mixture of color and black inks to print a diagnostic page.  This is so that the information can be read even if black or one or more colors do not work.  Although it may seem from this page your black works that is unfortunately not.  You can simulate this by selecting "Photo paper", as the media type in the driver, it would force the printer to use the same color ink to print black text.

  • New 8620 - will not print in color

Yesterday I bought a new HP Officejet Pro 8620. Installation was easy, and printing B & W is very good. But I can't get anything to print in color. Diagnostic said OK; the inks are brand new and full.

I notice that when I want to print, there are only a few options Print - "Standard' and"B & W". How can I increase the options of the printer - as a quick impression, economy, using low ink?

Thanks for the follow-up and verification the printhead works very well.

Reset the printing on Mac system. This erase on the printer drivers for the printer and others if added.

Find and install the updates on Mac.

    • The Apple Software Update icon

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac.

Add the printer in print and Scan, can also be considered as print and Fax.

Let me know if this allows better printing.
