Why do I get a message temporary profile w / no access to my files, & how to fix it?
Whenever I try to open a session (for all users) I get a message that I am connected to a temporary profile and can't access or save all files. The suggestion to disconnect & try to connect later worked again (for about 100 connections later, anyway). I don't understand something in the event log (as was also suggested) & I have tried a system restore, but the first available for restore date was after the problems started. I fear that all my pictures and my music files are gone forever. BTW, I learned my lesson - everything will be saved on a USB in the future - but I need help now. Any suggestions?

I can not access my account im logged in as temporary profile, brightness, my operating system is windows XP, I have two user accounts admin and user, user account has administrative power, when I am connected to the user automatically signed in under the temporary profile account, I can't access my user profile.please help me!
This happens if you have a corrupt user profile. Windows detects this and log in with a temporary profile. Whatever you do, do not save all the data of your temporary profile as it will be deleted when you close. You will probably find all your files from your profile missing in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\Utilisateur\Mes Documents.
Recovery of a corrupted user profile is not too difficult. Follow the instructions in one of the following articles:

Today while I was in class, my computer has started very well and I was able to work on it as usual. When the class was done, I saved my job and turn the computer off. Not even 10-15 minutes later, I turn on my computer turn it on again to finish my job and it takes ages to start. When that finally happens, it connects me under a temporary profile. None of my school work, photos, music or whatever it is is nowhere to be found. I tried to do the repair option that is offered with the starting system normally and nothing. I also tried the system restore twice at an earlier date and its doesn't work simply do not. Recommendations on how to do, and if my files can be saved? The photos I mean a lot to me and I have midterms and all my work is saved on my profile = - /... Ouch!
To avoid problems of access to the file:
1. in safe mode, copy the files into the documents, pictures and music in C:\Users\Public folders.
2. Enter the new profile in normal mode and move public folders files in folders of your new profile. -
Is connected with the temporary profile
Windows keeps connect me with a temporary profile, only on my account not the other two, I want to just access my files, the links using microsoft in other issues do not work and if I create a new user who logs with a profile temporary, just also want to know how I can access my files so I can get out them of this user account
THESE LINKS I TRIED BEFORE DO NOT WORK:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/811151/en-us
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/555473Thank you.
Hi Alisha,
You said that didn't happen on your account and not the other two. And you said you tried these links, I hope you don't delete all users according to the instructions...
in any case, you can easily have access to your files on the account that you have trouble accessing via two other accounts work. Navigate to C:\documents and settings\ this folder contains all the user profiles and all the documents and the data is stored in the profile folder name. Find the folder with the name of your account on it and inside you will find all the documents, Favorites, etc.
To get to C:\documents and settings\ open my computer, double-click the drive that you installed Windows, and Documents and Settings will be a folder you will see in the beginning of the hard disk.

Temporary profile after system restore
Recently I did a system restore on my Pavilion dv4-2145dx with Windows 7 and now I can't connect to my main profile. For some reason any, that your user profile is damaged, the fastest way to recover is to try a previous restore point or create a new user account and migrate the old to the new. Remove the old user account after you are satisfied with the other, a week or two later.

This Windows XP Home. on a Compaq Presario SR1710NX. Windows can not find the locally stored profile and logs on to a sense of temporary profile every time that the computer is off all changes is lost.
Your user profile is damaged and you put in a temporary user profile. This is why nothing is saved. Create a new user profile for yourself and copy the data from the old profile to it. After you have all your stuff, you can remove the old corrupted user profile if you wish. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
