No 2014TX Audio DV7

Hello

I lost audio on my laptop, DV7 Entertainment Notebook 2014TX.

Not sure if it was because of an update...

I followed the advice of HP, deleted the codec and tried to reinstall it, but it will not install correctly. It says reinstall drivers but it won't. I've tried a few things suggested on the net.

Nothing has worked.

Any suggestions would be appreciated muchly.

Thanks for your suggestion. I really appreciate that give you of your time.

I recified however the question myself.

I could not use system restore because I didn't know when the issue occurred.

I uninstalled the Audio drivers. Load drivers by default in the bios and reinstalled the driver on the HP site.

Works perfectly now.

  • A question about the system audio dv7 - 4198ca.

    Hello

I bought my HP Pavilion dv7 - 4198ca computer laptop yesterday, and after playing some mp3s on it, I started to suspect that the subwoofer is not working. This laptop is a HP Triple Bass Reflex Subwoofer, but I can't locate in Device Manager, or control panel Audio Beats. How am I supposed to access the subwoofers?

Also, I downloaded the latest drivers, but I still can't find the subwoofers.

    Thanks in advance.

You can try one of two things...

    (1) play with the acute setting in the sound-> properties of speaker-> tone and check... below is a screenshot of what I'm talking about...

    (2) change the equalizer setting in the HP Beat Audio Control Panel... Will launch it, select start - > Control Panel-> hardware and sound - > HP Beats Audio Control Panel

  • driver problems audio dv7-1270us

I just bought my Dv7 1270 and I've upgraded to Vista Ultimate.
There are no drivers on the view for the 1270, so I found the IDT of the other drivers to try as well.

The problem is, there are 3 speakers on this laptop, and use only the top of page 2, nothing is detected.

    What's wrong?

Same thing here! I've improved my dv7-1240 to vista ultimate 32 and lost my right speaker. To reinstall the many drivers after the upgrade, but now I'm totally distraught. Did not play with it before the upgrade but suspect that to be the

In any case good I found this post because it cost me a lot of late nights... I need sleep.

  • Microphone and speakers won't work - HP Pavilion laptop dv7

    Hello

Last night I was using Skype and my internal MIC was not working (it's the only microphone that I had). I was confused and he looked in the forums of HP and found this: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/dv7-Pavilion-integrated-microphone-array-Sk...

    I followed the instructions:

Check if it works, otherwise you have to uninstall and reinstall the driver.

    1. click on start, type: DEVMGMT. MSC in the search field and then press ENTER. It opens the Device Manager window.
    2. go to the category 'Sound, video and game controllers' and expand it. Right-click on the entry of the IDT high definition Audio Device, and then click on uninstall

    3. click on start-> all programs-online REcovery Manager-> click Dirver Hardware installation, select the Sound Driver entry and click on install.

For step 3, I am looking for the Recovery Manager and I find the HP Recovery Manager, I then select "drivers and reinstall applications" to the title of immediate assistance. I tried to reinstall the driver for IDT HD Audio Driver. Tried twice and both times it failed.

Now my computer doesn't have speakers... When I hover over the volume icon in my toolbar, it is said that there is no speakers or headphones installed. I need my speakers... Is this something that can be corrected?

I don't have the capabilities to mic. When I go into the properties for under sound recording, there are NO MICROPHONES appear. I bought a microphone, external and plugged in, and it does not work as well. The microphone is not as important to me as the issue of the speaker, but I still want this corrected.

If anyone can help? I know that I probably did something wrong and I'm far from being 'good' with computers... Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Hi Amanda,.

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp52501-53000/sp52658.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 Audio problem

Hello, im having some problems with my HP Pavilion dv7 notebook. The operating system installed on my laptop is Windows 7 Home Premium.

    What caused it...

After that I installed a visual theme yesterday, it has messed up my explorer.exe, which means that it wouldent show my office and all... So in order to correct that I had to start my computer in safe mode with commandprompt and enter in "sfc.exe/scannow" and after this has been done, it fixed the problem and the explorer.exe worked again. But when I run that command...

    My problem:

Then the sound outside the laptop icon is red, BUT the sound works on the computer.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • HP Pavilion dv7-4190us drivers for Beats Audio and MediaSmart Webcam

Nice day. I bought a Pavilion dv7-4190us last December 2010. I loved its audio quality. However, I recently formatted the OS due to some MBR problems. I managed to get most of the software I need to save for Beats Audio and MediaSmart Webcam.

For Beats Audio, I find not everything on the page for the driver for my laptop model. For MediaSmart webcam, I downloaded and installed sp51029 but nothing happened. Someone knows what's the problem?

    Hello

Try the following to see if you can install HP MediaSmart Webcam.

First, download the MediaSmart Webcam Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp51001-51500/sp51029.exe

Then, if you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip.

Now, open your download folder, click with the right button on the HP MediaSmart Webcam Installer, select Extract 7 - Zip, select the files and then click Ok.  Open the newly extracted folder, open src and scroll down until you see the application setup ( 12th from the bottom with a size of 310 KB ).  This Application Configuration right click and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once installation is complete, restart the computer and see if the Wecam software has been installed successfully.

  • IDT Audio Codec time Sound speakers but not with headphones on ENVY DV7 series laptop

I bought my laptop not more than two months ago. Its perfectly played through my helmet literally the day before yesterday.

Only two changes have occurred since then, first of all I accidentally plugged my headphones into the external microphone jack, then I updated the 'Music' for Windows 8 PC application.

After my sound stopped working. I restored my PC to a restore point dated before its no longer works in my helmet, however resonates once again that in my speakers (when my headphones are disconnected). When I plug my headphones, sound no longer plays in my speakers but no sound from my headphones either.

  • Audio problems (for laptop HP DV7-6b63us)

I come back just my HP computer when you send it in because that I couldn't a picture on my HDTV using an HDMI cable.  This problem has been resolved.  But now I have a strange problem with the audio.  I agree on some things, but have no other.  I can run a test on Windows sounds, and no game.  I can pull up to some Web sites and hear the sound, but on others I can't.  If I play the video on youtube or cbs.com, I hear its fine.  I play games on pogo.com and hear sound on some games and not on others.  What can I do to fix this?  I see some messages saying something about an update of the BIOS.  My computer did an update when I started using it after that I came back.  This update has done something to my sound?

    Hi bgillespie,

It seems that HP is really do a number on us this time.  I had similar problems after that last BIOS updated. After reading the many pages of messages that relate to this issue, I found one that worked for me (dv7-6b32us).  We have similar systems so if your problems are caused by the update of the BIOS, it should work.  My audio is restored (works with all programs), my volume keys function (without the Beats Audio logo).

This solution is simple and seems to have worked for a number of people:

    1. by ' control panel > Device Manager > controller audio, video and game "uninstall the audio driver (IDT High Definition CODEC), no need to remove the driver for the device."

    2. manually restart your computer.  Your computer automatically find the driver that works - that's all.

Note: It seems that after it Beats Audio is not automatically loaded (as before the update of the BIOS).  To activate, I found that you need to start the program "Control Panel > Beats Audio Control Panel"-window The Beats Audio takes a long time to load (approximately 40 seconds).

I hope it works for you.  If it does, please post that this worked for you and click on the solved button if others might see that it worked. I suspect there are many users out there who have or will be affected by the same issue.

  • DV7-6b78us freezes when playing Audio

Good afternoon! I hope it's the right sub-forum for this post.

I have few months with my HP Pavilion DV7-6B78US, from the time when I bought I had problems playing audio, especially when the fort (I'D say after 50% in volume) with active beats, whatever the player, today I had with the question, can't really play loud music without my programs (still able to use the keyboard and mouse) freeze but all my applications (web browsers IM applications video output, etc.) would freeze and hang for a few secconds (sometimes music still plays while else everythign is frozen), then it goes back to work, but after another few secconds it would freeze again unless I lower the volume... This happens with or without active beats. I have restored my pc to the clean start through the HP Recovery Manager, reinstalled the drivers, verification and updates installed through technical Assistance from HP, looked for new drivers or add-ons for the audio drivers, regardless of what I installed nothing doesn't.

I hope I've provided enough information, we thank you for taking the time by reading and by offering a solution. Congratulations to all!

    Hello.

What about the HDMI audio output. I managed to install the updated drivers compared to those on the HP site for two video cards, Intel and AMD, the AMD driver driver required, signature but I have disabled this requirement (this was not an option on windows 7 Home Premium) everything works fine.

Regarding my system to crash or stop when I would play audio over 50%. I think it's the driver under windows 7, which is available on the HP site. I always thought that they were the best drivers available compared to the other drivers out there, but I guess I was wrong. Thanks to all those of you who have offered their help in getting this problem is resolved.

Solution, installed Windows 8 and obtained the most recent drivers available.

    Topic resolved.

    Windows 7, 64-bit

I want to install a new game on my computer and the game launcher.exe told me there's an update for my video drivers. For some reason, I can't get updated driver from HP Web site directly and not AMD (which, on a side note, is a bit confusing to me know why). After seeing how many updates are available for my computer (here), I decided to update many of them. Here is a list of the updates I have downloaded and installed.

That said, at the end of all updates and all the restarting of the past, I boot my laptop and notice the lack of opening of a session of his. Looking at the system tray, there is, indeed, a mini icon 'X' on the volume icon. With the mouse hovering over him, he bed "no Audio output device is enabled" by clicking on it, the computer tries to set up the problem and the problem it finds is the following: "Audio device is disabled."

That's about the extent of my knowledge of what is happening.
Looking in the Device Manager, under "Audio, video and game controllers", there are three elements that follows:
    AMD High Definition Audio Device
    CyberLink WebCam driver virtual
    IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

Thank you in advance for your help and cooperation in this area.

  • Incompatible audio when you use headphones on Pavilion DV7

Hi, I got a new replacement laptop (Pavilion dv7-7008tx with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) HP last Friday, June 8 and immediately noticed that playing media with headphones connected files, audio is silent in places and then builds up in others. When I replay certain parts repeatedly, it's always quiet and noisy in the same places. Without headphones, audio is fine.

I tried to uninstall the audio device and restart the computer could install the latest driver once rebooted, but the problem remains.

I tried to look for a solution on Google, and people made the assumption that it has to do with the parameters of development (although most of the time it has not solved the problem in any case), but the deirections they let you access these settings do not apply to this laptop, and I can't find any place to change the development settings.
