No license when the laptop is running on battery

Hello

The reason why you receive this message, it is that the ID of the computer used to
generate an activation code for LabVIEW is based, in part, on your ethernet
MAC address of the card. Looks like when you switch to the mode that Windows battery
reports a different MAC address for the License Manager.

I can generate a computer ID based on the volume of your hard drive disk
Serial number that you could use to activate LabVIEW again. This would avoid
This problem from happening again in the future (at least until you change your)
hard drive, but I guess that you would like to reinstall LabVIEW at that time here anyway).

In order to obtain this ID from computer to you, I need to know what that your Volume Serial
Number is, it is how to get that:

1. open a command prompt. Click Start' Run
2. Type "cmd" (without the quotes) and click OK
3. at the command prompt, type "C:" (without the quotes) to change
Active directory on your C: drive
4. type 'flight' (without the quotes) to get your serial number of the Volume.

Once I get you with your Labview (Basic, full development system,
Professional). I will answer you with a computer, identification number that you can use to activate
LabVIEW to http://ni.com/activate/

Besrt cordially,
Nick_CH

  • Audio/video out of sync on netflix - when the laptop is running on battery power

    Hello

When you watch netflix on my asus laptop with windows 8, the image and the sound is out of sync. It takes a few minutes before its noticeable, and it is progressively worse if I continue to watch.

I noticed that this never happens if the pc is connected to a charger. If I connect the charger after starting to watch netflix without, the video will go faster until it compensates the difference accumulated upward between the sound and the image.

It started to happen a few times a few months ago, now its everytime I watch netflix. I him have not lived with other video services or streaming - youtube works perfectly fine, as well as a site of Danish online streaming that I use sometimes.

Is there anyone who has any idea what is the cause? I find it very strange, even if its only slightly annoying. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I apologize in advance for any grammar errors - English is not my first language.

    Best regards

    Alice

It's worth a try.  I suspect that it could be due to energy saving features.  There are options within the configuration to be able to change the way the browser handles 'javascript timer frequency' during the execution of a battery, what could be the cause.  But quite honestly, I recommend trying the application instead of using the Web site.  If it works, it means that you get maintain power efficiency, more enforcement provides a more enhanced Netflix as the site experience, quite a bit more quickly too.

  • The battery status icon does not display the symbol of the AC power cord when the laptop is running on the current and recharge

I have a Compaq presario with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. A few years after an update of Windows, the status of battery in the systray ICON ceased to display the amount of time left on the battery and it stopped display the symbol of the AC power cord when it was being turned off of the AC adapter.  If I remove the battery, then the cord appears.  Put it back in the slot and the rope faints and I have the same shape of rectangle get you if the computer is running on battery only.  Any ideas how I can get the cord to display when AC power feeds the laptop.

The accumulator is recharged, but there is no busy indication, apart from the height of solid white fill.

    Hi Graeme,

    Thanks again for the update.

Laptop computer should turn on without the battery when it is connected directly to the power source. As Techgod said it could be a hardware problem, it is possible that the problem is with the battery.

I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the laptop to get help.

    Hi @Phanz,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

I entered which you have tried to download the driver on the HP website for your laptop but realized you need the model number.  You have removed the battery while the laptop is running.  Now when you reinstall the battery, it shows that it is connected but does not charge and continues to 7%.   You have repeated the process and close Notepad and removed and reinstalled battery, but there was no change. If you turn off it charges the battery to 100%.

You did all your Windows updates?

Have you tried the troubleshooter in Windows?

First of all, I would like to try a Windows restore to before remove you the battery.

HP computers - using the Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

If restore doesn't work or is not possible, you could try a Refresh Your PC to solve problems (Windows 8).

Then you can try the following steps.

HP laptops - test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8)

The battery method compatible ACPI Microsoft control is basically the driver that communicates between the computer and the battery. There is a chance that it became corrupt and bad reads the battery level.

Step 1. Go to the Device Manager
    Step 2. Select the stacks
Step 3. Click with the right button on the "Microsoft compatible battery ACPI Control method" which is in the list
    Step 4. Click on uninstall
Step 5. At the command prompt, put a checkmark in the box to remove the current driver
Step 6. Shut down the computer

Step 7: Remove the battery for a minute and then put new

When the computer returns to the top it should automatically find the driver.

Step 8. Go to the Device Manager
    Step 9. Select the stacks
Step 10. Click with the right button on the "Microsoft compatible battery ACPI Control method" which is in the list
Step 11. Click "automatically search for an updated driver.

Do the same thing with embedded controller compatible ACPI Microsoft.

Last option is to reinstall your Windows 8.1 Pro.

    Good luck!

  • CC only opens when the laptop not linked to internet

When the laptop is connected to the internet Creative Cloud opens and allows me to launch Lightroom. However when the laptop is not related to internet, all I get is error screen that says I am offline and needs to connect to the internet again. It is not related to the day 30 'Refresh' which is required to check that my monthly payment has been processed. I use the Windows 8.1 operating system and CC build 2.2.129. The problem when the McAfee virus protection is active or disabled. What I've noticed is that sometimes when I start to creative cloud the "trial of the Star' button appears but when I click on the program solves the problem when I open Lightroom."

I spent hours on the phone and via the Adobe Support chat link and they can not get this to work. I even they gave remote access on my device. I've seen other posts in the same direction, and despite the suggested fixes, the problem persists. It becomes very frustrating because I'm doing wildlife photography and it's a challenge when in the African Bush with no connectivity.

When not connected to the internet, please try running the installation location apps.

  • Satellite Pro L650 - 1 L 4: battery will be discharged when the laptop is disconnected

    Hello together,

    I have a problem with my 5 month old laptop Satellite Pro L650 1 L 4.

When the laptop is unplugged it will pay the battery. About 44% within 24 hours.

Of course, options like BIOS "Wake we Lan ' and something like which are completely disabled.
And of course the laptop is turned off completely and not the Sleep Mode.

    Any ideas?

    Kind regards

    Stephan

    Hello

Please check if the wake-up on LAN is also disabled in the properties of LAN card (Device Manager-> LAN card-> properties-> Advanced tab).
I also recommend checking the WLan card as well.
Please also check if attached USB devices don't lose the power of the battery.

But also a malfunction of the accumulator may be possible... so it has to be checked also...

  • Want x 360 15-u111dx: Touchpad turns off when the laptop is on the side

    Hello

I'm the kind of person who tends to use my laptop on the side while lying on my side. Have a 2-in-1 laptop makes things difficult when I stay in portable mode, but I put the laptop on the side. He starts from the principle I want to use it as a Tablet while it is still in laptop mode. The screen starts automatic rotation and the touchpad deactivates accordingly.

Fortunately, I know how to disable the auto-rotation when this happens, but I don't know how to re-enable the touchpad when the laptop is on the side. Help!

    Hi there @lisanvo,

I looked into the different ways that you can use your laptop to see if the function to the HP ENVY x 360 on its side in laptop Mode was possible. I found a paper called HP ENVY x 360 Convertible PC - Maintenance and Service of Guide.

If you look under external component identification on page 7, , you will see that it gives you three modes that allows this particular model.

I also found that the tilt sensors and the dock will not to allow you to use that phone in particular in the service that you want to because it's a model that allows you to have capabilities of the tablet.

I want to thank you for visiting the Forums from HP Support.

    Have a great day!

  • Satellite C650 - black screen but the laptop is running

A week ago I leave my laptop on charge all night. When I tried to turn on the morning you could hear the laptop to work but the screen was 'black', the loading screen was not visible.

I don't use the laptop for a few days, thinking that he has beaten and when I turned on the laptop screen started loading upward. However, a few days later, when using my laptop for a fair bit of time, the screen started to Flash and then 3/4 of the screen went black. I always thought of my office in the rest of 1/4 of the screen.

It is then resolved itself, but to be on the safe side, I close the bottom removed the battery, and now I'm running the mobile sector. So far no problem.

Anyone know what could be the cause of the problem? I think it could be due to overheating, but I'm not sure, when I took it to PC world, the 1st time, the problem arose, the tech guy said that maybe my motherboard was gone and should probably replace.

On this virtual path, we can only speculate what the problem maybe, but if guys tech says a word perhaps even though he was not 100% sure why this happens.

These questions must be considered by the service and diagnostic tools. As long as it works correctly, it's OK.

    Hi DP - K,.

Thank you for all the helpful tips.  This weekend when I saw my McAFee scan/security reports, even if the McAfee Security Center shows that viruses and spyware works, he did not run a weekly full scan on my laptop since the end of January.  I don't know if he tried to scan and then breaks down, or it will not start.  When I tried to run a manual scan, windows shut down and I got a blue screen error message after about 5 hours of scanning - 63% digital.  When I ran the HP System Diagnostics report, it showed that my Security Center has not recorded an antivirus product.  "The Security Center cannot identify a current antivirus application.  There is no product protection antivirus installed or it is not recognized. "When I ran the HP reliability and history of problem report, it showed that my error messages started on 01/02/11, which is what I remembered.  I was able to restore my laptop to 23/01/11 when I had no problems and then, I uninstalled McAfee security and re-installed software.  I manually ran a full scan and it took 5 hours to complete, it has completed and reported no problems.  I look today and so far, no problem.  If the problem happens again, I will try the suggestion of Avast below.   Thanks again for all your great suggestions.
