No sound from my HP audio W1970S

Yesterday my computers audio was fine and I was able to listen to music very well. But today, it's a different story, I am unable to hear any audio sound what so ever unless I plug in headphones. the audio cable is plugged in and I checked the peripheral system and so fourth, and he says it's "fuctioning" I downloaded the mats_run to see if he found no fault with the audio problem, but he found nothing wrong, help?

honestly, I think you should consider doing a factory restore, it may solve the issue here, but if it is not it is most likely a hardware problem.

  • 550-215na Pavilion: no sound from the rear audio input jack

    Hello

I recently bought a new PC and I immediately ran into an audio problem that I can't understand. I get no sound at all from the rear audio input jack. I'm getting sound before making, and the plug rear mic works. When I plug something into the rear socket, a message appears grateful that there is something. When I checked the sound settings while it is plugged into the rear outlet, the equalizer is moving, which indicates that he gets his. But nothing comes out when I plug headphones or speakers in. I can exclude a fault with the speakers and the headphones, because they work very well to come forward. All the drivers are up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there @PrimoFigs,

I hope you find your experience of positive Support Forum! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you get no sound from your speakers when connected to the rear audio ports. I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Have you tried to connect another device to this port, whether it of a different set of speakers or earphones, headphones just to test if one of them works?

What it is connected to the front port at the same time? If so, then disconnect this device and try again the rear port and let me know if there is a change.

Also try this: desktop HP-no sound on speakers (Windows 8).

Please let me know if any of the work of tip for you suggestions and if we don't solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • iOS 10 no sound from the speaker of the ear or EarPods

After update of iOS 10 (in 6 s iPhone and 5s) I have a problem then to make or receive calls. Most of the time it is no sound from the speaker of the ear or EarPods and I have to press the speaker during calls to listening. To get back what I have my iPhone and open it again. This seems to happen after that I used once the EarPods.

Be aware that I have consume EarPods in 90% of my calls and iOS 9 I had no problem at all.

    Hello Billy78GR,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that you met the receiver and headphone audio problems after update to iOS 10. I know that it is extremely important to be able to hear others during calls. I'm happy to help you to get this resolved with you.

First of all, I recommend you restart. This can solve many unexpected behaviours. Follow the steps below to restart.

    1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
    3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

As you use the headphones on most of your calls, I recommend checking and removal of dust or debris from the helmet. If the problem persists, please refer to the additional steps in the link below.
If you do not hear a person, a call or a voice message or if the sound is not clear on your iPhone

  • Laptop: cannot hear any sound from my computer

My sound does not work in Windows 10. No sound at all from YouTube videos, music and media players, Windows system sounds, etc.

The first step in troubleshooting I recommend is the easiest: restart your computer. Sometimes a single application can take control of your audio device and do not let all the other apps use, but you can release this control by restarting.

Here are a few others not you can try:

    • Run the audio troubleshooting tool in Windows
    • Try to connect headphones or a pair of external speakers
    • Set the default audio device to make sure that your computer sends the audio output of the device
    • If your computer comes with 10 Windows installed, you can restore the driver of its origin in the HP Recovery Manager, or to update the driver through Device Manager
    • If you upgraded your computer to Windows 10, you can update the audio driver in Device Manager
    • Reset your laptop

These solutions and much more are explained in detail in this document: laptops HP - no noise or distortion of the sound from the speakers.

  • Desktop PC: cannot hear any sound from my computer

My sound does not work in Windows 10. No sound at all from YouTube videos, music and media players, Windows system sounds, etc.

Have you tried a few different devices (headphones/speakers)? There could be a problem with the hardware with one of these devices. Also, keep in mind that most of the computers do not have built-in speakers, you don't need to have a connected device to hear anything.

If you have already tried a few different pairs of headphones and speakers, the first step in troubleshooting I recommend is the easiest: restart your computer. Sometimes a single application can take control of your audio device and do not let all the other apps use, but you can release this control by restarting.

Here are a few others not you can try:

    • Run the audio troubleshooting tool in Windows
    • Make sure that your device is connected to the appropriate port on the computer, and if you use powered make speakers you they are plugged into a working outlet

These solutions and much more are explained in detail in this document: HP-no sound from the computer desktop.

  • Qosmio PX30T - no sound from speakers

I just replaced a failing on my PX30T HARD drive and now I get no sound from the internal speakers. I used the media restore and also put all the patches and windows 8.1. Still no sound from the speakers, but the headphones work well.

As a last resort, I started with an image of Ubuntu USB and also no sound. I think I might have loosened a wire when replacing the HARD drive, but I don't see how because there are no other wires in the region. Ideas?

If the headset work correctly, the audio driver must be already installed and I don't think that a parameter must be checked and changed.

    Reach:
    Control Panel? sound? Recovery tab
Here, you should see the speakers and speakers must be marked as default device.

Make and check if the sound seems once again

  • Satellite L650 no sound from speakers or phones

I.ve just had my first problem with my Toshiba Satellite L650 - particularly serious, because I rely on it for all my music playback!

Normally I can plug and on the headphone jack on my stereo, speakers cut out and I get HiFi glorious while it is inserted, and the speakers onboard bounce when I delete.
Today, I have plugged as ususal and listened to a few songs.

I unplugged (to move the laptop) and the internal speakers not to bounce.
I reconnected the headphone jack and there was no sound from my stereo (finger test confirms the work of jack stereo).

I checked all the app and the main volume - level in good health indicators were present.
In the Device Manager, all reported correctly and counter activity took place during the test routines of the audio device for both speakers and headphones, but no real signal to the phone jack, or speakers.
"Update drivers" who fired the message I; m to date.

I uninstalled the drivers of "High definition Audio Device", and scanned for hardware changes after - drivers were automatically found and installed successfully, but still no sound.
In desperation I dug an old USB-audio gadget, plugged and his fate that perfectly well by the USB port.

Can anyone suggest what I can try to force an internal connection between Microsoft Sound Mapper (i.e. the string digital things that seems to work very well) and outputs real material?
This machine is not an old duffer and this should not be the case!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Hmm, I doubt that the headphone is faulty because in this case, the internal speakers of the laptop computer s should work properly.

Please go to Panel of-> sound-> the Read tab.
    The speakers as default device?

In addition, please see the Audio Manager HD Realtek located on the control panel.
On the right, you should see a few options (in my case, that they are marked with a folder icon). Check it!

  • NO sound from speakers or headphones

    HP ENVY 15-3033cl laptop PC

    Windows 7 64 bit

no error message, I was watching a movie when my laptop died. I plugged it into the power source and now there is no sound from speakers or headphones when I plug. I already went through the troubleshooting steps sound but it says there is no problem detected by the device. The computer is still failry new less than a year, but lies outside of the 90 day warranty. Help please.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56900.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop and perform a "Hard Reset" for your model, as described in the document of HP here.

One when you're done, press next to the key ESC that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite L755 - 1 CD a very silent sound from its speakers

    Hello

I would ask for assistance if there is what I can do to have a very powerful sound on my new laptop Toshiba satellite L755 - 1 CD.

I put the speakers at the highest volume possible, but sound from its speakers is very, very quiet, so I can't listen to music if I am just a few meters away from my laptop or when my friends call me on Skype.

Sometimes I can't hear the sound if I'm not very close to the laptop. It has to be really quiet in the room that I hear music or talking to someone on Skype. The sound is not bad, just too quiet.
It has speakers onkyo and I thing that they don't work well, or the volume control is not properly set.

PLS, let me know if I can improve the volume elsewhere that in its volume control (I put the volume louder) or can I save somehow if my speakers are working properly.

    Thanks in advance.

    > Sometimes I can't hear the sound if I'm not very close to the laptop. It has to be really quiet in the room that I hear music or talking to someone on Skype. The sound is not bad, just too quiet.

Have you noticed that silent sound using Skype only?
If Yes, then I would recommend checking the settings of Skype.
There you will find the audio options for microphone and speakers.

In addition you can got to control panel-> sound-> the Read tab
Here, you mark the speakers press the properties button. New window should appear and there you have to choose the levels tab. Here, you can increase the volume level too.

    Hello Pete

One of my friends has a Tecra 8200 running Windows XP Home edition, but SP1and everything works correctly. I really don' t understand why the its doesn't work.

Sorry, but this unit is not supported for Windows XP Home edition, and it is not easy to say why the Board its doesn't work properly. If all goes well, another forum user has more experience.

    Good luck!

  • Sound from internal speakers past (iMac 21.5 mid-2011, Yosemite 10.10.5)

Last week, exactly after I unplugged my headphones, the sound from the internal speakers went and I don't understand how to solve this problem, please help.

Sound still works when I connect my headset (or other device) to the audio output.

Sound still works when I connect to my USB external sound card.

Internal speakers still work (I can hear the start-up tone when I turn on the machine).

In preferences / system I see "Digital output" instead of "internal speaker".

    Volume buttons do not work,

    Audio output leddoes not light.

    I tried:

    -Reset the PRAM,

    -SMC reset,

    -' sudo killall coreaudiod ".

    -repair disk permission

    screenshot:

    Plug and remove the headphones.

If you see the red light in the headphone port, plug the headphones

in and o ut of time port 5 or 6 to swing the microphone inside.

Audio output can be blocked using digital technology.

  • Satellite L300: How to record the sound from a video without sound

OK, yes the title of the topic is not entirely clear. Here's my situation: I just bought a Toshiba Satellite L300 with Vista; Realtek HD Audio Manager is installed. I would like to record the sound of a video file using Goldwave (a sound editing program); but I don't want to have to listen to the sound, while it's recording.

On Windows XP, you used to be able to record the sound of the stereo mix, but put the speakers on mute and it would record again. Now I find that I have to turn my speakers in order to record anything on my computer. (Yes, I fiddled with all mute buttons, insured that all reading and recording devices are working and front volumes. My current solution is to plug my headphones on my laptop and to reactivate the sound from the speakers to register... and not put the headphones in my ears)

I have now spent in the last 4 hours looking for a solution, and I must say it's especially ridiculous. I used Vista before and I've heard rumors of how many people hate, but honestly, how is it that now the audio capabilities seem to be reduced?

Does anyone have a solution of how to record sound with the speakers on mute?

    Hello

I also recorded the audio of a video file using another software called 32. and Win XP
I also used the stereo mix, but to be honest I have never muted the speakers while recording.
To be honest I n don't know if it's possible, but if you want to test, you can try the Realtek HD audio Manager in the access panel and set the speakers to cut on the first tab called speaker.
But as I said, I've never tested and that's why I m not very good if it will work.
