No visible option in the Lightroom export window to export.

I have LR6 CC. It has been working fine, including the export of files like JPEG and TIFF files. Yesterday, I've linked to LR Mobile and now cannot export. I click on 'export', get the selection pane, but the lower part of the button 'export' right in the library module says "synchronization metadata" or "sync" setting", where it should say 'export '. I guess I have something clicked by mistake. Help!

You are welcome, I suggest you go please Lightroom preferences.

And the Interface tab, then please change the font size to small.

Restart Lightroom, and then see if it helps.

If the steps above don't work, try lowering the resolution of your laptop screen, then check in Lightroom to export option.

  • Export the Lightroom 3 - Windows Catalog

I use Lightroom Mac OS 3.5 in school and that you use the version of Windows at home (I'm running Windows 7). Having a problem with the export of catalogs on Windows. I have my preference set to save presets with catalog. I copy the folder exported in a flash and opened on the Mac at school, but does not show my presets of meta. What I am doing wrong?

    Jim

The presets are only recorded in the original catalogue, not the exported catalog. However, you should be able to copy them manually to the new computer from their current location (i.e. the same folder as the original catalogue)

It is for the audio drivers missing or corrupt, not the mixing table, which in this case is probably corrupted (sndvol32.exe), it is a MS file!

    Follow these steps:

Right click on my computer on your desktop > second option down - explore > in the menu bar, click Tools > Options > display > scroll down and check "Show hidden files etc" > Apply > OK > then, in the left pane, navigate to c:\windows\system32\dllcache > find and copy the sndvol32.exe file > paste said file in c:\windows\system32 > crush if requested.

    Re-boot

You should now have your rear speaker icon.

BTW, if you do not find the dllcache folder, then there is another more technical way to recharge the mixing table, so re-post and have your XP CD handy.

    See you soon,.

    Jerry

Another BTW: If you really want to re - install the audio drivers and your PC/laptop is a 'make' (HP, gateway, etc.) then go to their Web site and get the drivers correspondents there. Install the drivers from the MB manufacturer only if you have built your PC yourself.

  • The Lightroom export file size: why it's so small? How can I maximize the picture quality?

My image file size is much smaller after editing and export through Lightroom. It is impossible to maintain the size of the original file in order to preserve image quality? This small file size will have a negative impact on the prints? Any help is appreciated!

The file size is not an indicator of picture quality! You are looking at the wrong measure.

File size is determined by the number of pixels you have, the quality slider in the dialog box export and of a dozen other things, most of which you cannot control.

Want to watch the number of pixels (width and height) and not the size of the file.

It is impossible to maintain the size of the original file in order to preserve image quality?

Not only is impossible, that it is also meaningless (see above)

This small file size will have a negative impact on the prints?

Instead look at the size of the file, you must look at the number of pixels of the exported photo (width and height), and this will determine if you get a decent impression. The usual standard is that you need 300 pixels per inch.

  • Lightroom export: Size of small files

    Evening,

I recently started using Lightroom after years of using Photoshop. One thing that I find difficult to understand, export.

After editing just one portrait as my first practice in Lightroom, I saved the file as 100% quality and JPEG. This resulted in a tiny 872 kb file size. Confused, I have reproduced the simple in Photoshop, saved as a full quality JPEG editing process and this resulted in a file size of 9 MB.

Side by side, expanded, I see no difference in quality. I noticed that the recorded image Lightroom has 240 dpi and Photoshop image 72 dpi.

Then, I went back to Lightroom and saved the same image as. TIF, resulting in a file size of 107 MB with no visible improvement in quality.

Lightroom is known for tiny file sizes? I'm doing something wrong? I do not understand why, how and what is happening with the sizes of export and file in Lightroom. I'd like an explanation.

Looks like you have checked resize it to fit, or checked the limit of the file size to... in the Lightroom export dialog.

Other than that, the file size is not a good indicator of the quality of the image - pixel dimensions are.

PPI is also devoid of meaning and irrelevant unless you want to print the image. PPI is metadata used by printer drivers to calculate the physical dimensions of the impression.

TIFF files are much larger than the jpg file size because they are uncompressed or use lossless compression, which is much less efficient than the jpg (lossy) compression. TIFF files can also be 16 - bit, which are twice the size of 8-bit files.

When exporting my images raw in Lightroom I convert them to DNG, which are about 28 000 Ko.  When I export my images in jpg, they are usually only about 4-5 MB is enough but sometimes I need a larger jpg. Like I said for most of my work is enough, but I wish I had more large file size

Lol you want a larger size of the image, not a larger file. The size of the image, in pixels or megapixels, determines if you can make enlargements or not, and what will be the quality of these extensions (as well as setting the quality slider). The size of the file is completely and totally irrelevant to the issue of can make you enlargements and does not determine the quality of the image or the quality of any enlargements. To get a larger size image, you can export the photo in Lightroom by enlarging the image in the section of resizing the Image of the Lightroom export dialog box.

  • Export the contacts from Windows Mail in a single folder

Original title: How can I export contacts from Windows Mail in a single folder. It seems that export all? Help!
Trying to export contacts to a folder only in gmail, but cannot select one.

    Hello

There is no option in Windows Mail to export a specific contact group.
You can export all contacts to Excel and edit/print as you wish.
Follow these steps to export the Windows Mail Contacts to Excel:
    a. open Windows Contacts by clicking on the Start button, all programs, and then clicking Windows Contacts.
    b. on the toolbar, click on export and then click on the CSV format.
CSV (Comma Separated Values). It is a format of generic file used to export or import information to and from databases or spreadsheets.
    c. click Export, select a folder where you want to store your contacts in the new format and then click OK.
    d. when a message appears telling you that the contacts export process is complete, click OK and then click Close.

  • Impossible to reinstall Lightroom 6 retail DVD.  Gives the error message "Windows Vista not supported."

After a horrible experience with the upgrade of Windows 10, I re-installed Windows 7 Pro and had to reinstall all my programs.  When I try to install the retail DVD of Lightroom 6 version, I got and error message that Lightroom does not support the Vista operating system.  This is NOT Vista; It is Windows 7 Pro x 64 SP with installed updates.  Installation stops there and will not continue!  I then reinstalled my old version of Lightroom 5.2 (who has updated to 5.7) without problem.  How can I bypass the installation process that incorrectly detects Vista?

Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.  I really miss my 6 LR!

  • Bought lightroom in the past on Windows, now using Mac.  Upgrade? Buy again?

Hello, I bought two version of lightroom in the past.  However, those who were the two versions of windows.  I bought from a MacBook Pro and you want to use lightroom on it since I rarely use my Windows machine more.

Do I have to buy the new version of Lightroom? My license will also work for Mac?  Can I purchase an upgrade option or do I have to pay the full price to buy Lightroom on my Mac?  I'd appreciate any help or advice on this.

This isn't a question of CC. The Lightroom you bought allows you to install this version on a Windows computer or a Mac computer. The link that you gave you will allow to download the appropriate version of Windows or Mac. But you will need the serial number that you used to activate Lightroom when you install first. It will be valid for the new installation on Mac. If you buy an upgrade to Lightroom 6, then you need again the number of the previous version in order to activate the new update.
