NOT IN and ANTI JOIN

Hello guys,.

with the example I want to insert the new translation into a table of conversion below, but
the NOT IN clause does not work. I also tried an ANTI-JOINTURE after reading some
why NOT IN may not work but the ANTI-JOINTURE did not work either.
The result of the query above is 0 rows inserted. There are about 1000 lines that already exist and I want to avoid
insertion of those, once again. Note that the text is not even the ID or the SOURCE.

INSERT INTO T_Translations
(
SELECT ID, SOURCE, TEXT, OF
(
SELECT distinct ID, SOURCE, DOMAIN,
TransText AS TEXT
DE)

-Deutsche text aus TKZ_1
SELECT TransText OF
-... - Source table 1
UNION ALL
-... - Source table 2
UNION ALL
-... - Source table 3
UNION ALL
-... - Source table 4

) WHERE TransText IS NOT NULL
)

WHEN NOT IN TEXT (SELECT TEXT FROM T_Translations)
);

Any suggestions?

Thank you very much.

It might be a problem with the alias.

The TEXT column can come from many different parts of your query. I changed it a bit and removed unnecessary inline views.

INSERT INTO T_Translations i
  SELECT distinct v.ID, v.SOURCE, v.DOMAIN, v.TransText
  FROM (
              --Deutsche Texte aus TKZ_1
              SELECT TransText FROM
              --...--Source Table 1
              UNION ALL
              --...--Source Table 2
              UNION ALL
              --...--Source Table 3
              UNION ALL
              --...--Source Table 4
              ) v
   WHERE v.TransText IS NOT NULL
   AND not exists (SELECT null FROM T_Translations t2 where v.TransText = t2.TEXT )
  ;

    Hello

    Replace:

    res.last_name||', '||res.first_name||', '||res.middle_initial||'.' "Assigned Employee",

    with

    res.last_name
    ||    CASE

              THEN  ', ' || res.first_name

              WHEN  res.middle_initial IS NOT NULL
              THEN  ', ' || res.middle_initial || '.'
          END     AS  "Assigned Employee",

    Here's why:

    If all res columns have a NULL value (which can happen because of the outer join), then

    res.last_name||', '||res.first_name||', '||res.middle_initial||'.' "Assigned Employee",

    is equivalent to

    NULL ||', '|| NULL ||', '|| NULL ||'.' "Assigned Employee",

    The punctuation is there to separate the three columns.
    If a column if the NULL value, you don't need to separate, so you need to make some sort of if-else operation to test if the punctuation is needed and show only if it is necessary.

    CASE expressions above will also give you a nicer output if some columns are set to NULL, but others are not.
    (For example, if the middle_initials are rarely saved.)

    Not necessarily.

    Any type (internal, external, semi or anti) join could use any kind of subquery.

    You could say IN and EXISTS are correlated with the semi-jointures.  In other words, when you see IN or EXISTS, that can warn you about if there is a semi join, but it will not always be.  Conversely, when you need to make a join semi, you might think EXISTS or in first of all, but that is not always a good way.

    After Vista update cannot find the external hard drive, AutoPlay does not work, and new unusable disk appears under my computer. Also I can't 'manage' my computer because I do not have "permissions". I tried a fix he 45071 and it did nothing.

    Applications, (Norton and McAfee) (including free evaluation versions are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself.) If NIS has been installed for 3 years, you have NIS update at least once and maybe twice (e.g., NIS 2009 > NIS 2010 > NIS 2011).

    [You may want to print these instructions for reference offline. If a step said to reboot, reboot.]

    1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all Norton software (including LiveUpdate and everything Norton Add ons) viaControl Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).

    4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

    NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!

    5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator.  DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    6. do a clean install of NIS 2011 (using your product ID, if need be) & reboot. CF. http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN

    NOTE: Do NOT activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.

    7. manually and repeatedly run LiveUpdate (Norton) until you get a prompt "no update more".

    8. open Internet Explorer (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 & run the difficulty.

    also all the shortcuts on the desktop are not displayed, and can be created, or any folder cannot be created so that the flash disk is reinserted

    Hi subhshy001,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Windows answers Forum community!

    Try this if you do not have

    Windows Explorer to create the folders and shortcuts in your document folder, drag and drop them on your desktop.

    If you have completed the steps and was not even useful,

    Follow these steps:

    Try to create a shortcut and sending it on the desktop.

    (1) open: Start Menu ,.
    (2) right-click: Internet Explorer icon .
    (3) select: send to > desktop (create shortcut).

    There should be a shortcut on the desktop .

    Make sure that the "show desktop icon" has a check against it

    OR

    Just click on the empty part of the desktop, choose new > then select the folder to create. Right click on this folder , select Rename it.

    If the steps above do not work then:

    You can scan your computer for malware.

    You can download, install and update anti-malware free of your favorite search engine and find malware.

    If the scan comes back clean, so I recommend doing a System File Checker too l to analyze your OS system files.

    To help resolve this problem, use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open an elevated command prompt . To do this, click Start , click principally made programs , Accessories , right-click guest , and then click run as administrator .  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow .
    2. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow (Yes there is a space after sfc) the sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions. This analysis do take some time to complete.

    Hope this information helped!

  • A person of so-called security from Microsoft called and said my firewall did not work and had an ID # and asked me to do certain things is - this legitimate?

    A person supposed to be Microsoft called and said my Firewall Security Center was not working and had an ID # they said was my ID of computers that he read out to me and that I have no idea whether or not this is the ID.  They wanted me to be in front of my computer and asked me to do things and wouldn't continue until I started, I started to do what they asked which of course I did NOT! I requested a call back number, and that's what he gave me:
    1 855-731-4936 and his name was Fred Watson, was not American speaking, very strong foreign accent.
    Is - is this legitimate?

    Its a scam.  A well known and long-lasting.  Microsoft will never ask you for personal information (they already have them) and you never call cold.  Nor do they send messages of anti virus - and they do not have to connect to your machine.  NEVER allow anyone to connect remotely to your machine.

    They are the partners who do this nor Microsoft does not only

    Hello

    My computer has been infected by a trojan virus. My antivirus has identified and quarantined it.  As a result, the computer is back on the operation, however: 1 - the office is empty 2 - the mouse right click (or left) on the desktop does not.  3-all the icons disappeared and all the files, personal or other, are still on C:

    What can I do to get a fully operational desktop computer?

    Thank you1

    I don't see where any of these Support Engineer 'expert' who is hired by Microsoft ideas will help you.

    These ideas are just more of their prosecution of wild goose that will just waste your time.

    Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

    How did you determine that all the files are still on C:?

    See if you can get to by typing Ctrl-Alt-Del Task Manager.

    Once you open the Task Manager, click the processes tab and see if explorer.exe is running or not.

    If explorer.exe is not running (and must be), you will have the symptoms you describe.

    If explorer.exe does not, in the Task Manager, click file, new task (run)... and in the open air:, enter:

    Explorer.exe

    Click OK and see if your Desktop reappears and notice that explorer.exe is now a running process.

    If so, you do not have 'fixed' your problem yet, but at least you will be able to maneuver if you can fix it.

    We'll see if the 'expert' technical support which is retained by Microsoft engineer can pick up from here.

  • report said it did not find an anti virus program? I have Macafee

    Hi Cc' Jackson,.

    1. When did you start to question?

    This problem occurs when Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) does not work on a Windows Vista-based computer.

    To resolve this problem, you must analyze and repair the WMI repository on the computer database. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. at the command prompt, type the following commands. Pressing ENTER after each command line:

    WinMgmt /verifyrepository

    WinMgmt /salvagerepository

    c. restart the computer and check the system health report.

    Hope this information is useful.

    If you can access Safe Mode things, see if it will help you create another user, and it will allow to test this new user in Normal Mode of loading.

  • Keyboard function and anti virus

    Last Saturday May 8, 2010 my power is out for about 15-20 seconds. When I restarted my computer, the clock has been set at March 26, 2008 at 23:00, I was able to change the information, but it would never change. I restored the computer to May 7, 2010 and who seems to have taken care of this problem?

    I have two other problems I found a vista (I'm under home base) does not see my anti virus now I put it not to watch for now if the warning would stop popping up but can't see anti virus? (Yes, it is updated)

    The other is I have a wireless keyboard and mouse are microsoft. The keyboard is a comfort keyboard 1. 0a on the keyboard at the top there is a small button with a star on, this button until the power went out would be starting the computer now, there is nothing that I cannot now find the setting that has activated this function to check its status and see if I can make it work?

    Would you think that I could not find the device driver for the keyboard on the Microsoft web site?  I can not believe it.  Anyway, I found another place to download appropriate drivers http://driverwhiz.com/drivers-en-mcaffee-download?brand=Microsoft%20Wireless%20Keyboard&logo=Microsoft&subid=1002-us-en-90000000591&gclid=CNLgpJ6CyqECFQ1X2godLWG-gg.  You should proceed in the case where a surege of power during the power outage affected th somehow the driver files.  Maybe it's the reason why the button no longer works (and it can't hurt to have the updated drivers.  Nevermind, I think I found it on the Microsoft site, but it was difficult to locate: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/DownloadResult.aspx?category=MK&type=Keyboard&name=SKU-WCK01&os=WVista_32&lang=en.  Using the version of Microsoft rather than the other.  I was unable to get through Microsoft support because I didn't have the product ID of the keyboard, but maybe you can and they can help you (although I don't know if it will be free, but it could be): http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_keyboards_master#tab1.  There was no documentation on the site of this keyboard, so I could not find any instruction on how to configure the key (if it needs adjustment).  You must either contact the Microsoft Support or find the documentation that came with the keyboard.

    Try to uninstall the program, regardless of the antivirus you use and re - install again (or change to a different program) to see if that solves the problem.  If this is not the case, use a different antivirus product.  I use Microsoft Security Essentials http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Microsoft-Security-Essentials-Download-131683.html tax and am perfectly satisfied with it and find the best option available.  Then you will be protected once more.

    I hope this helps.

    NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished.
