Notifications of E-Print

Help, please... I'm trying to find a solution to the problem I started to meet relating to e-print job notifications. I activated the notifications to let me know when the print job has been completed or delayed when I am away from the office, however, I do not receive notifications. I have them received before, but recently stopped.

Tried solutions: I tried to delete the printer and add it again, but this solution does not work.

I also disabled the State notification and double-checked and I don't get notifications anyway.

Can someone help me with this problem?

Hello dlynch715,

Have you verified that the e-mail address you want to receive notifications on is correct?

  • Disable the notification of the printer

When I print, I get an Auto popup telling me that the document was sent to the printer.  How to disable this option?  I tried to change my notification settings, but it is unnecessarily complicated and I can't find what I want.  Thank you.

Go to devices and printers (start-> devices and printers).
Click Print Server properties (in the box "toolbar" above the list of devices).
    Click the Advanced tab.
In a local printing: uncheck "Show notifications of information for local printers.
For a network printer: uncheck "Show notifications of information for network printers.
    Click OK.

  • How to be notified on a mistake of the printer?

Lecturer at a University, I often trust my printer for class documents, spreadsheets, etc. My printer, however, is in another part of the building, so I still can't if the print job has been processed successfully. I know that if I check the print spooler, it could tell me if there was a problem with the work, but very often I am preparing other parts of the class and don't think to check, which means that sometimes I get my documents to see that they do not have printed correctly.

Is it possible that OS X can warn me most obviously (e.g. through a notification) that the print job has failed? I tried Googling for a solution, but have developed in white.

Unfortunately, this is the app (print spooler), and not yourself, who decides what can be placed in the Notification Center of El Capitan:

OS X El Capitan: receive or stop notifications

I happen to use an Epson printer on my wireless network and, as you may not receive any notification.  I can watch the spooler on the dock icon and place an irregularity, as a ' ~ ' if there is an error in the printer WiFi connection, or a badge digital if there is incomplete print jobs.

But I think it's the best we can do.

    =======================================================

    Restart all

    • You can try to reboot the router with the computer and the printer; This can help if the problem is simple disconnection between the different parts of the network.

    =======================================================

    Hard reset

    • If you believe that the issue is in the notebook, which is unlikely, but possible, you could try a Hard Reset on the phone.  This type of reset is not, does NOT repeat, erase your data or your software - it's just a way to tell the operating system to read fresh from the disk and get some nice, clean, new instructions to the next startup:

    If you use a laptop:

    • Close all your programs and shut down your computer
    • Unplug everything (little unifying for the keyboard / mouse external can stay)
    • Perform the Hard Reset for your model of laptop
    • Start the computer and connect

ELSE, if you use a desktop computer:

    • Close all your programs and shut down your computer
    • Disconnect devices USB, speakers, other drives useless
    • Unplug the computer thirty seconds
    • Connect the power supply (plug in)
    • Reconnect the devices
    • Start / start the computer and log in

Reminder: Hard Reset is just a device to reset.  The procedure do not destroy your files, or it destroys your Windows installation somehow.  It's just "clears the cobwebs".  Depending on the cause of the problem, this kind of "reset" can fix a variety of computer problems.

    Install the full features software

    • The next step could be to try to install (reinstalling) the printing software full feature software on your computer to see if your computer can re-establish the connection with your elusive printer.

What follows applies mainly for computers running recent versions of Windows operating system.

General instructions to install the printer software

    Reminder:

    1. In most cases, the Solution Center has been replaced by the wizard of the printer.
    2. Shortcuts to the printer wizard will be installed on your desktop during the last part of the installation.

    Windows operating system:

    • Open drivers HP & downloads
    • Enter your printer model information
    • Select your printer in the list of the 'results '.

    OR

    • Enter your operating system the menu drop-down
    • Click NEXT and scroll down
    • Find the driver - product Installation software category
    • Select the driver of base, e-print, or full software functionality
    • Save the package *.exe Setup on your computer

The files will probably save in the "folder"downloads. "

Don't forget to search for updates as necessary for your installation. If available, you can download print and scan doctor and / or other programs of category - utilities.

    • If you have control of "Admin", you can highlight the package and "double-click" to install it, otherwise just right-click, select run as administrator and install.

    NOTES:

    • Look at the bottom half of the main Web page for your printer for helpful videos help with the installation of the printer software!
    • Scroll through the list of videos back until you find the video that best fits your situation.
    • If you use a USB connection: download and install the driver software before connecting a USB cable.
    • Ethernet: connect the printer to the network and (optional) assign the printer IP address to the router. Once the printer is connected to the network, make sure that the printer is on, and then install the printer software.
    • Once the initial installation is complete and functional, check / install category - updated

I have 2 HP Printers, HP 6600 - no problem!  and main printer HP Color LaserJet 1515n

This printer is in a limited network, and each print job, at the end of the job, print a separate page with the following:

HOW ON EARTH CAN I GET RID OF THIS AND THAT WHICH IS THE CAUSE?

    Tony [personal information deleted]

Paul, to solve this problem, you must disable the "Notifications of State printer" in the printer driver settings.

To do this, assuming you are using Windows 7, the first thing you need to do is to go into your control panel.

Once there, select 'View devices and printers' under 'hardware and sound '.

Right-click your printer, and then select 'Properties' or 'printer properties '.

Select the "Device settings" tab and you should see the option to turn off 'notifications of State printer '.

  • Boxes wireless printer work without connection to the modem HP 6700 printer

My printer is located on the second floor of our House. It is connected to our network with the modem and the router to the first floor where my wife's computer. This connection works fine.

My problem is that my printer only works if connected to my computer with a USB cable. This limits the use of a number of functions of the printer. Print the test pages that I myself say the printer is connected to the home network, but the printer will not work without the USB cable that turns off the Wireless function.

Most of the instructions I've read show that I need to be connected to the modem downstairs to work. It is not possible that I can tell.

Is there a way to fix this? or is a wireless connection to my printer not possible with this configuration?

  • Photosmart HP 5510: Error with the same type of print cartridge black that I use for more than a year

    Hello

For the last days I'm not able to print anything from my Photosmart 5510, because I get the error message "" Black - cartridge incompatible generation more "or 'cartridge for printers of older generation'." In addition, it does not give me option as before proceeding, in any case and I can't activate wireless. So, actually I have no printer at all. I reinstalled the driver but the same thing, after I did that and restarted a printer.

I've been ordering cartridges on eBay and Amazon for a few years now. They were not HP and printer always said to me that it is not genuine HP cartridge. I have no problem with notifications, as it prints well. I printed several pages of document .pdf only 4-5 days.  No problem at all. My ink level is very good, especially black, because I was always ordering the largest capacity I print a lot.

This problem started today (or I had knowledge about this today) and there is no doubt that something has changed between the time where I printed the last time and now. But it's pretty clear that HP wants me to buy original cartridges. Is it not enough that my laptop is HP, my printer is HP... I should have freedom to choose what ink to buy and where to buy it. It worked a few days ago and I checked the black cartridge, that I get the error message, has at least 50% of ink left in it. Because HP wants me to throw it away, because it's not authentic?

I'm really upset, because it is not a software, where we have to use the original permits. It's MY printer and I get to choose what cartridges I put in it, and where I buy my cartridges. If there answer like "it is not comapitble, etc.", well, it worked for a long time and printer tell me that there is problem with it. The problem with the cartridge just 'old generation '.

If HP conitinues to press like that, I'll never buy anything HP again.

  • HP 8100 stops randomly printing

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8100 printer.  I have several of them through my buildings but one in particular gives me trouble.

I started with the printer plugged in USB.  The printer will work after the first introduction, but stops shortly after working there.  I tried to adjust the sleep settings in the printer, as well as with the cards on the machine to stop the possability of a sleep environment causing failure of communication.  This had no effect.

I tried to set up the printer via a wired connection and a hub for the computer.  Yet once, it worked until I got up the machine and gave the fire before using it again.  About 3 hours later, I received notification that the printer print is no longer.  I've adjusted the settings and set a static ip address so that nothing would use the DHCP address where he's going to sleep has allowed something to consider, and this has also not had any effect.

Please help me more in the determination of the underlying issue and how to avoid it!

The machines in question are Windows 7 Pro and operating with the appropriate installation media supplied with the printer.

I must point out that we also have these set up wireless printers, and they do not seem to suffer from the same issue.  They connect and receive without interaction of buman print jobs, and I hope that the wired solution can be used in this way.

I have several users who own these printers connected via USB without problems and others who are wired and without problems.  I'm hpoping it's a setting or something I can fix myself.

    Hi JaymesDriver,

I wonder if this printer needs a firmware update. Please use the following link to check and see if your printer has the latest version or not. HP Officejet Pro 8100 x - Firmware-N811a/N811d.

If the problem persists, I suggest using the HP print and Scan doctor first of all, it can solve many printing and scanning errors, network or USB problems, driver problems and conflicts of port connection.

Click here to download and run the print and Scan Doctor > www.hp.com/go/tools

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

    • If you see only the Green checkmarks ( ), the tool did not find any problem.
  • Pop - Up Print under Windows 7 Message

I am trying to disable the pop up message when I send something to a printer.  General, it seems, a button close or next butto and we must wait until he passes out to hit the button, that we need.  To be honest I don't have notification that I printed something.

Open your "Devices and printers" section of the control panel (there are probably a direct link on your Start menu) and highlight (single click) of the printer.

And then on the toolbar above, click on "Print server properties" and go to the Advanced tab.  You will see checkboxes to disable notifications of information.

  • Windows 7 Homegroup impression - do not print until reboot

Before enter in my question, I would like to note that I am an experienced user and have tried ALL of the fixes recommended by Microsoft in this forum, including reinstalling the drivers, reset the print spools, check the firewall settings and reset homegroup settings sharing etc.

I have three computers that are running Windows 7, two laptops and one desktop, all are connected to the same homegroup in Win7, run all the Windows Firewall.  The office is connected to a USB - a HP color Laserjet 2600n printer.  Wireless, laptops are connected to the network via a router, 802.11 g, Netgear.  File homegroup, sharing between these machines works very well (that is to say all the docs, music, etc. can be shared) and the LATEST multimedia of hp printer driver is installed on all computers in three.  I can print fine from my office, but cannot print from a laptop, despite the HP printer is visible in the control panel of these machines as the default printer.

Firewall settings are OK for print sharing (I checked), the print on all machines spooler service is OK.  Files for printing show like "impression" (on the hand-held transmitter and the desktop), but do not print unless the computers on the network are restarted.  Homegroup print files cannot be deleted, but will ALWAYS display (despite the deletion attempt) when restarting.

Can you please recognize whether it is a bug and if so when will be released the patch to fix.

    Thank you

I also had the same problem with my printer when I tried to print to it from my laptop using the homegroup sharing printers. I had the same symptoms: I could send the document to the printer, but it wouldn't print until I rebooted the computer on which the printer is physically connected to. The only way I could solve the problem was to disable bidirectional Support. Once I disabled that, I was able to print from my laptop to my printer which is connected to my office.

How to disable bidirectional Support is to right-click on your printer icon in the control panel and select printer properties, select the Ports tab and remove the check mark next to enable bidirectional Support.

This isn't the perfect solution, because I will not get notifications from my printer when the printer is in paper, or when a particular toner cartridge is low, etc.. But at least I can share the printer with my laptop without having to unconnect physically on the office printer and then connect it to my laptop whenever I want to print from my laptop.

  • fuser error 1025

I recently got a "fuser error" status notification of my printer HP LaserJet Pro CP1025NW. Nobody seems to know exactly what that means. HP has NO (typical) information except to reset the machine (power switched off/turned on). Most of "excluded" think I need to replace the fuser unit, but it has not listed anywhere (typical). A spark thought it was connected to the imager of drum, so I replaced that - a (of course) it does not solve the problem. I have probably to replace the fuser unit, but where to get the parts and how to do. Best estimate on a replacement is about $200 and another $200 having a 'authorized' technician install. I only paid $100 for the machine and it does exactly what I want. Fix for that kind of money or replace it with a new 'fantasy' is just stupid. Dead in the water after only 9 months of very limited use. Shame on you HP. If I can't find a reasonable way to fix this that I never buy HP.

Device started to have some error fuser unawares. New unit, for 1 year.

Took all the cartridges out, and then reinstall them. No joy.

Finally, I read in one of the documentation HP black toner is related to the fuser unit.

I replaced the black toner, and bam, error disappeared.

    I hope this helps someone!
